It's quiet, except when they're doing construction in the day. The stay comes with breakfast (7-10am) and there's a coffee machine and an ice machine available all day. I really liked the breakfast. It's a small spread, but the food was good. There was oatmeal, pancakes, scrambled eggs, beans, nacho chips, papaya and pastries. The room is alright. Mine did not have a window to the outside (it was facing the hallway), a little stuffy, but it was bearable. The hotel looks pretty new; it feels minimalistic in an Ikea kind of way. The power went out for 45 min or so on the first day I was there; but that's probably outside the hotel's control.

Wanted to check in at lobby and got very confused because as I open the door, it looked like a cafe and thought I was going into the wrong place! The staff was helpful but could only issue one key which was fine and it was a very easy check in process. Upon getting into my room, it was not very spacious but it was me new, neat, comfortable, and had all the basic necessities. The only thing that could be better is the TV quality, it's 720p with no HD. The breakfast downstairs was one of the better ones, eggs, beans, yogurt, cereal, and 24/7 coffee, cappuccino, and hot chocolate! Make a reservation. They also tend to have rooms ready for check in without a reservation during the week days. The rooms are a great price, if you are on a budget, and they are clean--spotless, no, but they are just fine and you will be happy there. Their English is not great, but they are really nice and they will figure it out. The staff is just super nice and the area is gated with a guard. If you need anything for your room they will help you. I never checked to see if they have Wi Fi. If that is important to you make sure you call and ask. Have fun.

Room has water and a coffee machine with coffee pods. I'm pretty picky when it comes to hotels and the beds. This place blew my mind and they offer you free parking a block away behind the Soriana which is secure and nothing happened to my car. I would most definitely stay here again

Drinks were good but a bit expensive.   If you are a couple who want to be in the downtown TJ area to experience nightlife, this might be the place for you.  However, the hotel doesn't have its own parking, as it is off-site, not oriented for families or those who have difficulties moving around or in need of ramps.

The concierge also gave us great advice on the easiest way to get back to the border once we checked out, including directions so we wouldn't get lost. Its a little challenging with all the round-abouts !! Being from US and not speaking Spanish at all, we were a little unsure what to expect, but communication was never an issue. The staff made us feel comfortable and safe throughout our stay. The hotel has everything you need--multiple restaurants and bars, a casino, beautiful swimming pool, room service. A special shout-out to Daniel at the casino bar! We had no idea how to get a player's card or add money so we could play, and he walked us through everything. He was always friendly and quickly learned our drinks, remembering them throughout our stay. Such a nice personal touch! The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of toiletries and amenities. We also had dinner at Emma, the French restaurant inside the hotel, and it was beyond fabulous--gourmet food, great ambiance, and excellent service. We felt welcome, comfortable, and safe the entire time and will absolutely stay at the Grand Hotel Tijuana again on our next trip!

They have great room service and we love their eatery. There are nice places to walk nearby or you can grab a cab. The staff is super nice and does speak English. When I asked to speak with the manager, the front desk said the manager was not on-site. I contacted Expedia, and they tried to resolve the issue, but the hotel staff refused to help and claimed there were no rooms left. Expedia offered me a credit, but that didn't solve the immediate problem. I had nowhere to stay and ended up sleeping in my car in an unsafe area. This hotel showed zero accountability and no concern for guests. I strongly recommend avoiding this property. Their dishonest practices and lack of customer service caused me stress, inconvenience, and put my safety at risk.

I've stayed at this hotel more than 33 times, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back it feels like home. Valente was absolutely phenomenal. With a line of over 30 people waiting to check in the weekend of Labor Day and a huge wedding he was the only one at the counter for hours, yet he handled it all with patience, professionalism, and a genuine smile. Not only was he checking in guests, but he was also answering phones, helping with questions, grabbing luggage and blankets, and assisting Americans despite language barriers. He moved nonstop, making sure everyone was cared for, and never once looked frustrated or overwhelmed. Every time I arrive, the staff makes sure I have what I need an English speaking TV channel, an extra blanket, and quick help through WhatsApp whenever I reach out. From the security team in the parking lot, to the shuttle drivers, to engineering, to the front desk everyone here truly understands what customer service means. My Spanish isn't great, but your team's English always bridges the gap. Thank you for consistently making me feel at home. I've stayed in La Mansion, Motel Premier, El Paraiso, and others. This motel, even though is further from the border is as nice as La Mansion, but very affordable. I like this motel because the WiFi is good and reliable, which helps me whenever I have work to do. This last weekend they had a problem with their WiFi and I wasn't able to do work. Unfortunately, the Internet connection is what brings me here. I was upset and the staff understood. I was thinking of leaving somewhere else, but they moved me to another room that had some WiFi connectivity (WiFi was spotty in some areas). They went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed and that to me meant a lot. This is why I'm giving them a 5 star review. The rooms are clean, quiet, and nice. The prices are better than Motel 6, even though I go there on the weekends. For anyone wanting to get the best bang for you buck, this is the place. I highly recommend it.
