Beware of scams! front desk worker told us that they were only accepting cash payments for stay. We let her know that we weren't carrying cash, and that their sign in lobby, and during booking , states they accept credit cards. Also demanded cash deposit. We lost our room key, and they charged us $20! At check out, they chased us to demand $20 American dollars ( after they had just given us our deposit back). Please note that their air conditioning is not good. Rooms were stuffy. Didnt sleep well the first night. You have to keep bathroom doors closed, which makes bathrooms turn into saunas- no joke. eye glasses were steamy. closing bathroom door made room tolerable, but still warm.
the 2 front desk people were not friendly. They were very unhelpful. They tried to scam the owners and us, by demanding cash payments. DO NOT fall for that scheme there or anywhere in that town! pay with credit card so that you have a leg to stand on for credit card disputes. Do NOT stay anywhere where they require a cash deposit. Theyll find a reason to keep it. A lost room key should not be $20. They stink at customer service, and will nickel and dime you for everything.
extra tips for town: dont pay ANYONE cash at restaurants of to "help you cross border quicker". All scams. Ask if they accept credit card and prices up front. read more
