Our dog went in healthy and came out so sick the vets are saying she may need to be put down. The staff kept no notes and she was filthy and clearly sick when we picked her up. Now we've got the manager, Narelle, on the phone side stepping as fast as she can and avoiding taking the blame. Absolutely not good enough. Aside from the costs we've incurred it's an absolutely pathetic attempt at customer service and problem solving. Edit to update: In the hours since this was also posted on the Hnrob facebook page they have deleted the post, as well as switched off the ability for people to post on their page. I was promised a representative from hanrob would be in touch to speak but clearly this own't be happening with attempt to hide and cover up. Absolutely appalling behaviour from any business let alone one that deals with being trusted to look after beloved pets. DON NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

This is the third and last time we use Hanrob. We had our 2 dogs into Hanrob for 2 weeks. Due to…read moreprevious issues with Hanrob not providing enough food, and our dogs losing weight, plus diarrhoea, we supplied 6 x 2 kg loafs of Prime dog food (more than enough) and asked that each be given 400gms per day, plus dry food, the doberman (Piper) 2 cups per day and a manchester terrier (Rollo) 1 cup per day. Split up into 2 meals. We weighted the dogs on arrival at Hanrob and they were 35.5 kgs and 12.1 kgs respectively. We stated many times just because the manchester terrier is small he eats a lot, as much as the doberman. At the end of their stay they were dropped off to our vet practice (last night) and on arrival they weighed 32.2 kgs and 10.6 kgs, they had lost 9.3% and 12.4% respectively of their body weight, the manchester terrier (pictured) looks all bones and is not well. We own our own veterinary practice and will have to put the manchester terrier on a round of antibiotics. Both dogs are very sad. What did they do to our dogs? Why didn't they look at the dogs during their stay and see they were skin and bone? they had our weights on arrival and why did they not weight them during the stay? To say we are unhappy is an understatement! We had complained on previous stays and they knew we were concerned, they know my wife is a veterinarian and yet they still did this to our loved dogs. Our veterinary practice has been a collection point for Hanrob for a number of years but will be immediately advising that this will cease, as we cannot recommend to any of our clients to use Hanrob. They don't deserve one star.

Other amenities that made this hotel a winner included a very nice sports pub and an indoor pool that had some amazing lighting at night. The hotel's restaurant also had one of the best buffets I had seen in ages. It was a seafood bonanza, and I was quite happy that it had an international flare so there was something for everyone. I have stayed here a few times and would reccomend it to those that need a cheap nights stay close to the airport. The Staff are quite friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty basic but it's really the only kind of motel you want to stay in for a night or two. The rooms have always been tidy upon arrival as well. There rooms have air conditioning, Television/DVD player, tea and coffee making facitilies and a bar fridge. there is no microwave in the room. There is not too much that surrounds Ciloms. There is a shopping centre a couple of kilometres down the road and last time i stayed there they offered us a drop off pick up service to the shops which was extremly handly as the last time i went it cost me $25 return in taxi fares. the shopping centre has a woolworthes and other specialty stores. The Hotel offers room service and have menus in each room. There is a restuarant/bar on site as well so you can sit in there and eat dinner. I haven't found too many businesses that deliver food around that area but Melrose Pizza has always delivered to Ciloms for me. The food on the menu isn't all that great. they have a pool, sauna and gym on the property for guests as well. Most rooms come with a balcony as well.
