Amazing customer service! I walked in and they were taking care of me right away. Walked in trying to find a dress for my daughter's pk4 graduation dress and left with the dress along with shoes, hair thing, bathing suit and many more clothes! They were great! This store has super cute clothes kids; however, the customer services is the worse. I went once and the person working totally ignored me, not once asked if I needed help. I ended up getting a few things because like I said, they do have cute things. Once again, I decided to give it another try. This time it was a different person, but the experience was still the same...I guess if you are not a regular customer, they do not care for you. I really don't understand where the bad reviews below come from. My experience at Petit Amie was fantastic. They have a huge variety of all kinds of children's clothing. From casual, beautiful tank tops to elegant Baptism gowns- they have it all. If you need a bow or a headband, they are sure to have it in any color and style you can think of. This shop is a really nice boutique where you can find the cutest baby clothes, shoes and other accessories. I've been a customer of the store for a little over 5 years-- since my baby was 2 months old. I always found great items not typical to the big chain clothing stores. It is a bit pricey but they do have really nice things. I always get really nice compliments from people on how I dress my daughter. read more

LOST $200!!. Watch out for the gift certificates they won't honor! I purchased $200 worth of gift certificates and nothing was written on gift certificate about expiration. i just found out when I went to purchase that it was no longer valid. I pointed out the lack of expiration on gift certificate but was told although no expiration would still not honor it as the owner. Poor form! I would understand if written on certificate but no information written. I will not be going back ever and will make sure others know about their policy to not honor their gift certificates. read more

Very rude service and cheaply made, over-priced clothes. I was with my 9 month old child and the old woman at the shop was giving me dirty looks the entire time. She proceeded to tell me to "go to one of your flea markets" when I asked her where I'd be able to get a nice diaper bag. Very racist and I left in tears. I will never go back of course and recommend others to not go to a store that displays this kind of prejudice against minorities. I am a doctor and a good caring member of this city. read more

Although Petite Ami has very nice things - they are very over priced and the owners are so rude, judgmental and extremely pushy. If you want me to spend over $100 on a bathing suit for my 4 year old, at least make the shopping experience pleasant. read more

I am not a relative nor am I personal friends with the owner. I have been shopping in Petit Amie for 4 years now since my granddaughter was born. I am from Manhattan all my life and am used to amazing children's stores. I have found Petit Amie to be the answer to most of my 2 granddaughter's needs. The clothing selection is outstanding and the service is first rate. I am in New York now for the summer and will truly miss my favorite children's store. From layettes, leggings, tee shirts to dressy outfits with matching shoes and bows Petit Amie is the place to shop. read more

Very snobby boutique owner. I have been going there for the past 8 years, even though I wasn't exactly pleased with the customer service because they carry a few brands that I like. Well today they lost me as a customer. I was just there today and made a comment about the possibility of getting some dresses from Pink Chicken a high end boutique brand from LA that I love for my little one. Well the owners response was "I don't think so" I thought that was very unprofessional and rude. If she would rather carry corny , ruffly cheap dresses from Peru, instead of high end boutique items that is her perogative, but to treat a long time customer like that is unacceptable. I rarely have had a conversation with this lady, but every time I have spoken with her she has come across as crass. Hopefully they will read this and realize that if they continue to treat customers like that they will run themselves out of business. read more
