WiFi - Great speed and I had no trouble connecting my devices. *It is only "on" Mon-Fri 6am-6pm Magazines - there were not many to choose, but they were current and representative of diverse interests (Sports Illustrated, Time, Cincinnati Mag. ) The patient and friend are notified via a vibrating and beeping restaurant type pager device that fits in a pocket and has sufficient range that works not only in the upstairs waiting room, but in the parking lot as well. Misc - The coat rack is large and has plenty of room for coats. The bathroom has really cold water, the hot water did not seem to be hooked up. Not necessary to have clean hands, but it was kind of annoying. Waiting Room - The waiting room on the second floor is nice and a decent place to spend a half hour to an hour. Yes, I know what a bedbug looks like. I didn't want to scare anyone else in the room, and simply told the receptionist. A little while later someone came in the waiting room spraying alcohol and wipping things down. We talked a little and she said it wasn't the first time she was asked to do the same thing. A bit later I was told to sit with my wife as she recovered. I overheard a nurse say that number 3 (my wife) was "the one with bedbugs" and that they would have to wipe it down. I went up to the nurse and said that I was pretty sure (we now know for sure) that we did not bring the begbug with us. I also mentioned that the person spraying alcohol for bugs was asked more than once to do so. The nurse was adament that alcohol was 100% effective on bedbugs. I agreed that is was effective when sprayed DIRECTLY on bedbugs; but asked "what about the ones in the crevises of the chairs and other furniture in the room?" She still insisted that we must have brought it in. I didn't argue anymore. She seemed annoyed with us for the rest of the visit.

This is a wonderful practice with excellent doctors who truly care about the welfare of your child, and I highly, highly recommend them to anyone searching for a pediatrician in the NKY area. They are associated with St. Elizabeth Edgewood and Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. This is a three-doctor practice, and each doctor is personable and knowledgeable, but they each have a very different style and personality, and so I think the practice could appeal to many different types of parents (and varied parenting styles). We specifically saw Dr. Cahill, who saw us through the birth of our first and second child, through illnesses, injuries, and check-ups. She was never rushed with us, we always felt we could ask as many questions as necessary and take up as much of her time as we needed. She was calming when my wife was stressed, filled with wonderful advice for a new mother, and was accepting (though not supportive) of our alternative vaccination schedule. I feel she truly got to know my children. In addition, the staff is warm and affectionate with the children, they are very good about getting sick and/or injured children in same-day without appointments (call ahead to avoid an additional fee and longer wait-time), and they have an after-hours answering service where you can call and leave a message if you have a serious health concern, and the doctor-on-call will get back to you within an hour. My wife used this service several times as a nervous new mother, and no matter which doctor was on-call, they always responded promptly, were extremely helpful, and never made her feel that she was putting them out or being silly by calling after hours. My ONLY complaint is that, because they are so good about seeing sick children same-day, because they do make regular rounds at the hospital, and because they don't rush through appointments but talk through parental concerns, the wait to see the doctor was always very long. I understand why it is long, but I feel it does deserve mention. My wife always tried to get the first appointment of the day to avoid the wait, but even so, we often had to wait longer than we expected to see a doctor. I did not deduct a star for this because, frankly, I feel the service and care my children received was worth the wait.

It's hard to put our experience at Cincinnati Children's Hospital into words, but allow me to try…read more We transferred our son's care to Cincy Children's when we saw that they not only employ some of the best experts in pediatric pulmonary hypertension but they also have a clinic dedicated just to this rare children's condition. And it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The PH team -- and especially Dr. Critser and Nurse Kimberly -- has been there for us since our initial visit. The team is very easy to get in touch with; they gave us the number to the PH cell phone, and we text with them regularly. They made changes and additions to our son's medication plan, and a week into our care with them, we reached out about some worrying symptoms. They had us come up to the hospital that day to be admitted. A week-long hospital stay followed, but out of that we got a plan, and our son has been free of serious symptoms. He is able to run and play with other kids -- something we didn't know would be possible again. And regarding our hospital stay, it was about the best you could get. No one likes being the hospital, but all of the nurses, attending doctors and other techs and staff were compassionate and patient. The room was comfortable, and you could order meals from the iPad in the room. The cafeteria downstairs was also top notch. The past six months have been full of worry and heartache for our son. And while PH is a serious condition that we continue to take seriously, coming to Cincy Children's has given us new perspectives and new hope. We really can't thank this great facility enough!

I had to request glu strep covid test even though i went in with complaints of ssore throat and cough and drainage. They all came back negatinve so when symptoms persisted i went to urgent care. Stavy was very thourough and retested me and it came back positive for strep i have now had first dose and low grade fever broke. throat much improved. Someone who listened to her patient and went ahead and retested has definately impressed me over st e hospital. Should have gone there first. When they finally finished I was looked at and had xrays done and was told that by the end of the day or early the next I would have results. It took over 3 and a half days before I was finally told it wasn't broken but by that point I had figured it out. They then proceeded to charge me 150 for a worthless foot brace and when I called the number provided to ask questions about my bill I was met with a voice message saying to leave my number and they would call me back. They never did call me back and just sent the bill in the mail again. Its impossible to pay the bill online and I will not send my credit card through the mail. overall 0/10 experience and I recommend you to deal with whatever is bothering you on your own rather than this "urgent care" making the problem somehow more painful. I should have waited and went to ortho cinci when the opened the next day.

The team of people who cared for my sister did an amazing job. The pre-op registrant, nurses and anesthesiologists were wholly informative about the procedures and were very considerate of her comfort and emotions. Overall, the easy entrance, ample parking, attractive building, clean interior and thoughtful staff made this visit an excellent experience.
