The students that attend this studio are encouraged to set high standards in both their academic education and dance education. The teachers are amazing and from all different dance backgrounds. The teachers work extremely hard, building the minds and bodies of the students, while encouraging the students to enjoy dancing. It not always easy and you have to be on pointe (lol). They are dedicated in making sure the students are strong and developed in their technique. The studio is very welcoming. You will always find a parent willing to help or share. For your convenience, supplies are available at the studio. Items may be ordered if out of stock and available to you within a short period of time. Everything you need is at your fingertips. My daughter goes through a lot of dance tights and I have been able to walk in and purchase a pair whenever needed. Living Arts has allowed my child to obtain amazing dance techniques and become well educated in the art of dance, all while creating the most incredible bonds with old and new friends. She's an only child with many dance sisters. I couldn't ask for a better group of friends or adult role models. Wait!!!! They also have DROP IN CLASSES for adults!!!! Ms. Jaquetta has drop in classes for adults from ballet to hip-hop to African. I took one African class so far. Looking to taking another in the future. Thanks to a great friend who took me to my first class at her studio, I have been taking dance lessons from her for months now and have seen nothing but positivity radiate from that woman. In fact, she is nothing but welcoming, kind, encouraging and sweet. She is so personal and although there are multiple people in class, she manages to individualize the lesson by constant rotation of partners and oversight of all our moves. In each of her classes there are people from various backgrounds and she treats everybody with respect and kindness. She even recently did a surprise graduation dance lesson party with students from Thomas Jefferson who are of various backgrounds and ethnicities. They all expressed nothing but genuine fun and loving words about Eka. In my own personal opinion, she brings out my inner confidence. She is supportive and always helps me and helps correct me when I am doing a wrong step or can't get a move. Her beginner classes are so much fun. You start class with basic moves and add on, by the end of the class you know a tiny chunk of a dance routine. I've tried the bachata and salsa classes, both have been tons of fun. She also plays great music. Such a talented teacher, a great dancer, and a great motivator!

He has also participated in the studio's summer camp programs for the past two summers (and will be returning again in July.) He has loved all his classes during the year (the staff are all just fantastic, through and through), and really enjoys the different camp themes each summer. (For instance, this summer he will be participating in a Unicorn, Mermaid and Pirate Camp!) The owner, Meghan, is extremely hands-on, and has many, many years of experience as a dance teacher. She and the teachers/staff really make a difference for dancers of all ages and levels. My son can be anxious about trying new things and meeting new people, and Meghan in particular has gone above and beyond to find ways to ease him in and make him feel super comfortable and confident. Also worth noting is how Dance 4u has lots and lots of boys taking dance classes. When my son first expressed interest in dancing at age 3, I remember being distraught over the fact that the majority of the local dance studios had very few boys enrolled, or none at all. Meghan turned this around for Dance 4u, and now almost every class at every level has boys enrolled. Three years ago, there were only 2 boys enrolled - my son and one other. Last month, I was overjoyed to see about 15 boys dancing in the recital! I love that Dance 4u encourages boys to dance. This has meant the world to me, as my son was quite discouraged from dancing when he felt that he would be the only boy. Finally, I wanted to add how pleased I was with another aspect of Dance 4u - the birthday parties! I had my son's 6th birthday party at Dance 4u, and it was perfect from start to finish. Birthday parties at Dance 4u are affordable and fun. You get to pick the style of dance you want, and even pick the teacher. Then the guests are able to learn a dance or two - and by the end, it's truly a sight to be seen! Everyone has a blast. If your child is interested in dance, and you are looking for a studio with highly experienced dance teachers and a warm, family vibe - this is the place for you!

The owner hired the best to help teach her students.Two of my daughters are their for almost 10 hours a week and the third only an hour. They have classes with just about every member of their staff and they love all of them. This studio is one of the finest in the Philadelphia area and it not only teaches our children how to dance, but teaches them about sportsmanship, discipline, and friendship.

The classes are too big and many times are not on the level that they should be for the skills of the children. The chairs in the orchestra section are a bit small, but pretty typical for a theater. We sat in the first two rows, which gave us plenty of space to move around and stand up when we wanted. It cost a little extra, but the added room was worth it. Parking was a big plus--there's a lot right next to the theater, and it was free. For refreshments, they only offered water and bags of chips, so nothing substantial. I'd definitely recommend having lunch or dinner before the show since there aren't any real food options inside. The bathroom, located in the basement, reminded me of my old elementary school. The performance itself was great, and everything went smoothly. I hope Thomas Anders returns because I'd definitely come back. This venue is far better than The Ritz in Elizabeth, where he performed the past two years on tour.

First time attending a concert here so I didn't know what to expect…read more Parking is across the street and it fills up quickly so make sure to arrive early as it is a first come, first dib with parking space. There's no parking fee which is a huge plus in my book! The restrooms are down in the basement. It's small and dingy so I'd advise to use it as soon as you enter because there will be a line with the ladies. There's no bar stand so to buy any snacks and drinks, pay up at the entrance. The line and seatings are a bit disorganized but it's minor issue. People tried to get sneaky and sit whenever because no one checked tickets inside until the real seat purchaser shows up and kick them out. I got seatings in the orchestra second row from the stage and it was perfect! Not only am I close the band and artist performing but I sat in more comfortable seats, leg space and room to get up and dance. The first two rows are sectioned out away from the back row seatings and that was the best! I'm short and always dislike the feeling when people, especially taller people, are crowding me and standing right behind breathing on my back. With the way how sections are divided, they had to stand back! Kudos to the security guards for approaching ticket owners from the back rows for trying to come up front. Yes, these sneaky concert goers were removed from approaching the side of the first two rows. Some people just have no shame but hey, we got the last laugh when they were told to leave.
