I've done OT, but much prefer PT. Now the facility is located in the same building as Atrius health, five guys, crush pizza, and Quincy College. A rocks throw from Quincy center train station on the red line. Parking is street or you could use the paid parking garage out back. So far I'm a month or so in, i believe we are making progress and my main PT doc Julianne has spear headed my regimens of PT to get me back on track. All the PT staff here is super personable, nice and helpful. They'll go above and beyond to address lateral and related issues you may have stemming from the initial reason you're attending PT to begin with. Each exercise is calculated to target certain strengthening of muscle groups to aid in your recovery and pain management. I've seen all walks of life here and everyone has been really chill and communicative. The space is clean and clear with mellow tracks playing in the background. I'm in and out in hour or so each session and we progress on weights and reps each week with a swap of different exercises to focus on the next item in your treatment plan. My doc also is very helpful working with you to help get you to other specialists and contacts so further assist in your recovery if needed. My main contact was Alexandra Boulais, who organized things so that I could have both land and water therapy. She also had one of the other therapists finish my visit while she was starting another patient. Communications again were excellent, and I always felt I was in good hand. From what I've read this issue is hard to cure, possibly permanent, but at Accelerated PT. It took some time, but my toe has very noticeably improved and my range of motion is coming back when initially my toe was stiff as an iron rod. Of all my ROM (range of motion) issues I've had to date this has been worst. Honestly, I'm surprised how much Ara has improved my foot. I am happy I came here. Ara's treatments are in the style of small group personal training. He has 3 benches inside his office. In addition a couple people may be outside doing some stretching, icing, or routine exercises with a PT student. If you value privacy over whatever problem is ailing you then by all means don't go to Ara. However know that you'll be missing out on some of the best treatment you can get. His walls say it all (many thanks from professional athletes/entertainers up there). He will attend to other patients but he will get to you and work on your injury personally when it is you turn. He will attend to all of your questions / concerns if you need a little more time. He has never once rushed me out of his office, as other PTs will to keep their tight 1 on 1 schedules. My first PT, Rebecca, is an amazing physical therapist, extremely knowledgeable and motivating to work with! I made great progress with her, and felt enthusiastic and optimistic the whole time. The desk staff are also super helpful and nice--really excellent at their jobs too. I came back for physical therapy for a different problem 5 years later, and had the luck to work with three more physical therapists there. They were Conor, Greg, and (on two occasions) Brittany. They found a way to keep me making progress even when I had a medical set-back, and they worked really well as a team. Plus, they were super-kind and knowledgeable and creative in the choice of exercises. My balance and strength have noticeably improved because of working with them .
