I had the pleasure of working with Nick, Kayla, and my main contact Mark Wintermute. What I really liked about Jobspring was that they were very personable, friendly, and accommodating. I first had a phone call with Nick to get an overall understanding of what I was looking for. Then, I went to their offices in Downtown San Jose and met with members of their team. Each person came prepared with a few opportunities that matched my interests. In the weeks after, Mark and Kayla introduced me to various companies, and after each call or interview they would contact me by phone to ask me how I felt. If I did not feel like the opportunity fit me, they did not pressure me to continue down the interview process. They were also helpful in giving me tips on how much salary I could be looking forwards to, what my experience is worth, and if my experience was enough to apply for various senior positions. In the end, I went through the entire process with one of the companies that I liked and had a good fit with and received an offer from them. Respect is what separates this office from all the other Employment agencies. Daniel Urbaniak and Danny Cavero could teach seminars on how to handle clients. Unlike other agencies They dont send you job listing that are way outside your experience. They don't send you blind into interviews. They dont spam you daily with random listing. They dont act like you are working for them, They dont act like your just 1 in 10,000 even if you are. They don't BS you. What they do is make the effort to understand you, they make you feel like they are there working for you. They clearly are trying to find you a good fit, so they only send focused jobs. After a lack luster Experience at General Assembly and a number of Blase´ Talent Agencies, I was beginning to think I really did waste a ton of money and time transitioning into Tech. But Once I started working with Danny Cavero everything starting looking up. He set me up with a position that was ideal for my experience. We were looking for an engineer. Not just any engineer, but that special one, the one who could not only do the work, but deal with the ins and outs of a small startup environment, and be a great fit in terms of personality. I was very skeptical about technical recruiters, since I kept getting spammy emails from several other ones, but she completely turned that around. As we progressed through the process of finding relevant opportunities, Alex really seemed to go above and beyond to help me. She would call me once before every interview, just to check in, wish me luck, see if I needed anything. Also after the interview, she would always follow up and ask how it went. But I believe the best thing about Alex that I can say I experienced is that she was never like a recruiter to me, she was almost like a friend. I worked mostly with Danny and he was awesome. What I liked most is that he was not interested in just getting me a job and spamming me. I was happy to pick up the phone every time he called. If I didn't like a particular company he would ask why and give me better companies after that. He's professional, but friendly and driven. He walks that line well. He's been consistently upbeat every time I've talked to him, passionate, and driven. He really likes his job. It's obvious. He also found me a great job where I would be able to do some great work. The only downside is that he's non-technical, but honestly if he was then he'd probably have a job doing that. He's definitely a people person and I think JobSpring would miss him if ended up with a career behind a keyboard. He's good at what he does, and he knows more about the technology than I expected. What a waste of time. Three or four times different recruiters walked me through a nearly word-for-word identical explanation of how they are not like those "other" recruiting agencies. Its true, they aren't your average recruiting agency. They are far below average! Before I knew better, I agreed to "come in and shake their hand". Between all of their "we're different" sales pitches they slipped in a few self-serving suggestions. They pressured me not to talk with other recruiting agencies. They told me to remove my resume from online job boards. They talked shit about big name companies for being too slow as an explanation for why those companies choose not to work with Jobspring. In total they spent about 3 hours passing me between different recruiters. The process was slow and repetitive, but it seemed like it all might be worthwhile. They did have two companies that were possible fits. They told me not to apply to those companies directly because Jobspring could get me on the short list of candidates. I was in a hurry to get the interview process going, and they assured me they would contact those companies and get in touch with me within 8 hours. Its been weeks, and Jobspring never emailed me back. I am happy to report that my job search was very successful; I received 4 full time offers. I put my resume up on 7 job sites, applied directly to 35 companies and was contacted by a dozen or so agencies. Out of all of them Jobspring both demanded the most time from me, and put in the least effort themselves. read more

Although they were nice and professional they simply did not have anything that fit my needs. They claimed they were primarily recruiting for engineers but one of their major categories of jobs on their website is project management. They are the most unprofessional bunch of people who are running a company to place professionals. WOW!! I would give a minus star if it was possible. I approached them for a job placement when I was out of work and my status was at stake. They called me their their office immediately as though they had to talk to me in person so they can get a better understanding of me an get me a job in a week. They made me talk to two more guys who were just talking to me in animated expressions like they understand my situation. Then after that it was only me calling them a million times to check where they are with my case. They never got back to me. And they never had the courtesy to tell me they were S**T. 1) Long, windy, phone conversations without divulging any sensible info. 2) THEY WANT TO MEET IN PERSON !! Who does that? AND THEY WANT TO DO THIS EVERY YEAR .. I WENT THERE LAST YEAR NOW WHY AGAIN? Who has time for such things? 3) They ask salary in detail down to the penny, then they ask all benefits and then they ask every aspect of why you want to leave current employer. 'General points' should suffice. DONT WASTE MY TIME. Agreed, 'this helps them funnel right opportunities', but how is it that all other more successful recruiter are able to do all that without being a stalker? Train your callers to respect other people's time. They picked up phone once by mistake and they won't do it again! We need to save our 48 minutes of time wasted with you next time talking trash. read more
