My three younger children (ages 12, 10, and 7) have been attending Motivate Martial Arts, and it has been a great experience for our family. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and truly dedicated to helping each child grow--not just in martial arts skills, but in confidence, discipline, and respect. We've especially noticed a boost in our 12-year-old's self-confidence, which has been such a gift to watch unfold. The atmosphere is positive and motivating, and each child is challenged at their own pace while still feeling like part of a team. We're so grateful to have a place like this in Monroe--Motivate Martial Arts is a solid investment in our kids' growth, both physically and mentally. read more

Sam has a blast at Motivate Martial Arts! So much that we've signed her up for 3 times a week! She is learning core values as well as defensive moves. The staff is helpful, patient, caring, dependable, and professional. Mr. Stephen even cares about what is going on at home and how he and the staff can incorporate the core value lessons into practical lessons the students can carry with them to use at home and at school. I've seen a big change in Sam's personality since starting karate. If you're on the fence, they do offer a few free classes. All three of our girls started at Motivate back in August. Since we have started our girls have not only excelled in their marital art skills but also at home and school. Each one of the instructors are truly incredible with each of the students.They take the time to show them how to improve their skills, challenge them, and they listen to everything the kid have to say from their concerns to what they did at school that day. I would recommend Motivate Martial Arts again and again. read more

I take class here and it is absolutely fantastic! Mr. White is an excellent instructor, he does a great job with class layout. It is a perfect blend between workout, learning new material, and just plain fun! I have watched many of the kids classes as well and he really engages their minds and instills respect, discipline, and focus in the class. All around wonderful school! Overpriced for tumbling training…read more My biggest complaint is that if your child doesn't participate in recitals, parades etc, the coach will leave your child to self instructions. And the main reason we wont let our child participate in recitals / parades, etc., is bc she's not that GOOD! YET!!! But recitals n stuff is a scam to just get more money out of you! But the straw that broke the camel's back is coming right off Thanksgiving they shoved a pack of raffle tickets in my face neatly wrapped with my childs name on it - I asked what if we don't want to participate in that (SCAM) the unprofessional said you have to pay $50. You already know - DECLINE!!!! Next class the coach only let my child practice a few routines. Towards the end the coach left my child standing in line waiting for her turn. The ignored my baby! Finally, my child just left and got her STICKER and belongings and we left. After I witnessed that as I watched from outside through the glass window, I decided to finish the course and w/draw my child. There is no way I will allow them to bully my child ALL bc I declined to sell or pay them $50 for some RAFFLE TICKETS!!! So this Wednesday, they paid my child no attention ! My baby got little practice and was told the training was for kids in the parade (which the coach denied saying it when I confronted her about it). But this week not only did the coach limit my child practice she wudnt even let her get a STICKER - NOPE! THE COACH TOOK THE STICKERS AND STARTED TAPPING MY CHILD ON HER HEAD WITH THEM!!!!! So no I wudnt recommend!
