I have a history of…read morepregnancy loss, multiple miscarriages, last baby I lost was at 18 weeks, it's clear that I am a high risk, but she never wanted to refer me to a high risk doctor. I trusted her with my last pregnancy and I asked her to refer me to one, but she told me high risk doctors were only for "birth defect babies" which is completely wrong. I went into preterm labor at 25 weeks gestation, started having a lot of contractions, her team also sucks and I could have lost my baby and my life since I went to her office, they checked me and made fun of me, told me to go back home, drink water and wait for my next appointment in 10 days. I started crying out of fear and pain having those strong contractions every 2-3 minutes, they felt them and saw them, and her nurse practitioner laughed at me and said I shouldn't be freaking out, and repeated "go home and drink cold water". I refused to listen and walked to the hospital and they got me admitted immediately, gave me a room, tried everything to stop the contractions that were getting worse every minute, every doctor and nurse that saw me asked me, "who is your high risk doctor?" I didn't have one... one of them asked "why?" , because my OB didn't think it was necessary to refer me to one.... she said they were for birth defects only... my baby was born the very next day at 25 weeks and 5 days and spent 104 days in the NICU fighting for his life. We are having some issues, consequences from being born with extreme prematurity. I know if I would have been seen by a high risk doctor we could have made it to term, and I also know that if I listened to that woman at her office and went back home that day like she told me to and refused to do anything, me and my baby would have lost our lives since I had placenta abruption right after that and started bleeding a lot, thats why they rushed me into an emergencyc-section. Do yourself a favor, keep your baby and yourself safe, go with a doctor that takes your life seriously.

We understand if there are rules that people follow, we might not agree with it, but how she handled it really was disappointing and rudeness is no excuse. She talked across the room to my wife in an ugly tone, and another patient coming in heard the conversation and was upset with how rude they were with my wife. I got a call two business days ahead to tell me what my copay was. Great. Today was the appointment. I take a day off from work. I drive through horrendous traffic to get there because it's near downtown and I live in North Fort Worth. I get there and the girl at the front says that the doctor isn't there and "everyone was called." Well, they didn't call me. Except to tell me how much I'd pay upon arrival because I have an HSA and high-deductible plan. Then she asks if I want to see her partner. No. I do not want to see her partner. I scheduled an appointment WITH THIS SPECIFIC DOCTOR. Not her partner. If I wanted to see her partner, I would have scheduled an appointment WITH said partner. She also tried to pawn me off to the PA. If I had wanted to see someone other than the doctor I made an appointment with, I would have MADE AN APPOINTMENT with that person. I told the girl I took a day off for this appointment and that I was NOT happy that I would have to reschedule which won't happen now until mid-November. THEN she asked if I wanted to go to the place in Hulen. Why the hell would I drive even further on the off change the doctor would decide not to be in that day, too? The front desk was unapologetic in their explanation OR offerings of a reschedule. I am FURIOUS. If I had missed my appointment, I would have been charged a no-show fee. I should bill the doctor's office for making me miss a whole day of work AND driving to/from downtown when I live in North Fort Worth. And as it turns out, the rescheduled "appointment" wasn't even scheduled! The front desk people are ridiculous and clearly unorganized. If you're planning to go as a new patient, don't even bother. The front desk doesn't give a crap about you. And, apparently, neither does the doctor since she wasn't even there.

I have been with him for 10 years and he has delivered one of my babies and did a couple of minor surgeries on me. I have always felt really comfortable with him. I like both of his nurses too! Bernice can draw blood so well. Dr Barrington is a thoughtful doctor. He has excellent social skills and was very courteous to my husband when I was in labor and always treats my toddlers well even if they are being loud in the room. He is a doctor that I feel like I have a relationship with and not just another patient. I will be very sad when he retires!

I sought IVF treatment through CARE Fertility and, at first, everything seemed to go well. I had a successful embryo transfer and remained under their care until 9 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy. During that time, I experienced no complications. Then I was told I had "graduated" from their program and was instructed to follow up with an OB doctor. I scheduled an OB appointment, but like many offices, the earliest available visit was three weeks out. I trusted that this gap would be okay, especially since I had been stable up to that point. But eight days before my OB appointment, everything changed. I suddenly began experiencing severe vaginal bleeding and cramping. Terrified, I went to the ER, where I was evaluated and discharged with instructions to follow up with an OB within two days. I immediately tried to get an earlier appointment, but the OB office could not accommodate me. Feeling scared and desperate, I reached out to Dr. Thomas at CARE Fertility--my IVF doctor--explaining everything in detail. I made it very clear that I already had an OB appointment scheduled, but it was still over a week away, and now I was having complications. I simply asked if they could evaluate me in the meantime. The response I received was devastating. I was told they could not see me because I had "graduated" from their program. I again explained my situation--that I had nowhere else to go right now and was actively experiencing complications--but the answer remained the same: no. I cannot fully describe the feeling of being turned away like that. After everything--after trusting them with something so deeply important--I was left completely on my own when I needed care the most. With no other options, I returned to the ER two days later as my symptoms worsened. Again, I was told to follow up with an OB. I explained that my appointment was still days away and that my fertility doctor refused to see me despite knowing what I was going through. It didn't change anything. One day before I was finally supposed to see the OB, I miscarried. When it happened, I called CARE Fertility to inform them. Even then, I was met with the same response: I needed to see my OB because I had already "graduated" from their program. With nowhere else to turn, I ended up back in the ER for the third time in one week, where the miscarriage was confirmed. This experience broke me. The lack of compassion, the rigid refusal to help, and the feeling that I was no longer their responsibility once I "graduated" left me feeling abandoned and deeply hurt. I am sharing this as a warning to others. If you choose to seek IVF care through this practice, please make sure you have an OB appointment scheduled immediately--ideally for the very next day after you are discharged from their program. Because if something goes wrong before that appointment, you may find yourself, like I did, with no one willing to help you. No patient should ever feel this alone.

I always tried to schedule my appts early so the wait was less hassle and that usually worked out best. I had to have a repeat c section and during my delivery day Dr. Snell made sure to answer any of my questions and I genuinely felt so cared for and like I was in such good hands with her in the room.
