I have a history of…read morepregnancy loss, multiple miscarriages, last baby I lost was at 18 weeks, it's clear that I am a high risk, but she never wanted to refer me to a high risk doctor. I trusted her with my last pregnancy and I asked her to refer me to one, but she told me high risk doctors were only for "birth defect babies" which is completely wrong. I went into preterm labor at 25 weeks gestation, started having a lot of contractions, her team also sucks and I could have lost my baby and my life since I went to her office, they checked me and made fun of me, told me to go back home, drink water and wait for my next appointment in 10 days. I started crying out of fear and pain having those strong contractions every 2-3 minutes, they felt them and saw them, and her nurse practitioner laughed at me and said I shouldn't be freaking out, and repeated "go home and drink cold water". I refused to listen and walked to the hospital and they got me admitted immediately, gave me a room, tried everything to stop the contractions that were getting worse every minute, every doctor and nurse that saw me asked me, "who is your high risk doctor?" I didn't have one... one of them asked "why?" , because my OB didn't think it was necessary to refer me to one.... she said they were for birth defects only... my baby was born the very next day at 25 weeks and 5 days and spent 104 days in the NICU fighting for his life. We are having some issues, consequences from being born with extreme prematurity. I know if I would have been seen by a high risk doctor we could have made it to term, and I also know that if I listened to that woman at her office and went back home that day like she told me to and refused to do anything, me and my baby would have lost our lives since I had placenta abruption right after that and started bleeding a lot, thats why they rushed me into an emergencyc-section. Do yourself a favor, keep your baby and yourself safe, go with a doctor that takes your life seriously.

We understand if there are rules that people follow, we might not agree with it, but how she handled it really was disappointing and rudeness is no excuse. She talked across the room to my wife in an ugly tone, and another patient coming in heard the conversation and was upset with how rude they were with my wife. I sought IVF treatment through CARE Fertility and, at first, everything seemed to go well. I had a successful embryo transfer and remained under their care until 9 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy. During that time, I experienced no complications. Then I was told I had "graduated" from their program and was instructed to follow up with an OB doctor. I scheduled an OB appointment, but like many offices, the earliest available visit was three weeks out. I trusted that this gap would be okay, especially since I had been stable up to that point. But eight days before my OB appointment, everything changed. I suddenly began experiencing severe vaginal bleeding and cramping. Terrified, I went to the ER, where I was evaluated and discharged with instructions to follow up with an OB within two days. I immediately tried to get an earlier appointment, but the OB office could not accommodate me. Feeling scared and desperate, I reached out to Dr. Thomas at CARE Fertility--my IVF doctor--explaining everything in detail. I made it very clear that I already had an OB appointment scheduled, but it was still over a week away, and now I was having complications. I simply asked if they could evaluate me in the meantime. The response I received was devastating. I was told they could not see me because I had "graduated" from their program. I again explained my situation--that I had nowhere else to go right now and was actively experiencing complications--but the answer remained the same: no. I cannot fully describe the feeling of being turned away like that. After everything--after trusting them with something so deeply important--I was left completely on my own when I needed care the most. With no other options, I returned to the ER two days later as my symptoms worsened. Again, I was told to follow up with an OB. I explained that my appointment was still days away and that my fertility doctor refused to see me despite knowing what I was going through. It didn't change anything. One day before I was finally supposed to see the OB, I miscarried. When it happened, I called CARE Fertility to inform them. Even then, I was met with the same response: I needed to see my OB because I had already "graduated" from their program. With nowhere else to turn, I ended up back in the ER for the third time in one week, where the miscarriage was confirmed. This experience broke me. The lack of compassion, the rigid refusal to help, and the feeling that I was no longer their responsibility once I "graduated" left me feeling abandoned and deeply hurt. I am sharing this as a warning to others. If you choose to seek IVF care through this practice, please make sure you have an OB appointment scheduled immediately--ideally for the very next day after you are discharged from their program. Because if something goes wrong before that appointment, you may find yourself, like I did, with no one willing to help you. No patient should ever feel this alone.

Dr. Pendleton is incredibly compassionate, and courteous as well. He has never had an issue prescribing an appropriate level of pain medicine to meet the reasonably expected amount of pain. If beyond that...consider maybe there's still something going on inside that needs correction?? Not trying to WebER or anything, just saying for someone who spent over 10 years in pain management. It's a viscous cycle! doesn't matter to me anymore, but unfortunately for those that can't get out...are being punished for monsters that those same doctors helped create. Surgical Dr's hands are pretty much tied because of what pain management Dr's have created. Anyway, sorry for the rant! Short story long, I cannot recommend Dr. Pendleton's office highly enough!

First, they took almost 2weeks to inform me of a UTI diagnosis and it took that long to have me started on meds as well. Second, when coming in to get my Well Womman exam, i was getting lab work for genetic testing and I had to get stuck twice because the needle slipped out the 1st time causing me to drip some blood down my arm and on the floor. Lastly, when leaving my Well Woman exam I was handed my results from my lan work during my 1st OB visit, but the results weren't explained to me at all. They just handed me the paperwork and had me on my way. Like I said, i absolutely LOVE Dr. F and I wouldn't dream of changing dictors, but i hope that her staff does get better with how they perform their tasks.

Had an open MRI that lasted 45 minutes. They taught me how to remove it and let me practice getting it off. Once I knew I could take it off myself, the panicky feeling subsided. They also sent me a very easy to read report of my results. With the ortho follow up a full week later, it would be 3 weeks until I could learn if I needed surgery. All the while burning sick leave and vacation at work. So I called scheduling and tried to find an earlier date. The scheduler said they had a spot in Ft Worth today at 2:15. It was now 9:30 am, that office is at least a 2 hour drive, I said heck yeah sign me up! The scheduler said they would send me a text with the address and confirmation. I left just before noon....not wanting to be late and waste their time. BUT, i had not received the text. So I called the number while I was on my way 817-289-2002. Spoke to another very nice person. I let her know I had not received the confirmation text like they said I would, so I wanted to call and confirm the appointment and location....after all it was a 2 hour drive...... The scheduler was perplexed why I did not get the text but... joyously confirmed my appointment was good to go! She also let me know my part to pay was also $222. I said ok and kept driving. I arrived at 2:00 for the 2:15 appointment. Again, not wanting to waste anyone's time. I go into the office and let the clerk know Im there for my 2:15 appointment. I could tell she wasn't finding anything, so I added, its really at 2:30 but I came in early for the paperwork. The clerk said 'sir your appointment isn't for today because we have nobody here who can do it .' You had an appointment for the 27th and then the 21st, but it is not today. They know we don't have anyone here on Fridays to do the GAD.... She then says 'Are you sure you called the right place?' I showed her the number I called, and she looked perplexed....and said well thats our scheduling number.. I call the scheduler while Im standing there at the window. She once again confirms my appointment is for today..... but needs to check on things and puts me on hold. The phone rings right inside the window to the girls I was talking to...... Lots of Umhmmm, Umhmm....Uhmmm. Then girl number 2 says Did you call our scheduler.....I said yes Im on hold with here now......She then says OH she just called and asked us to reschedule you....... Can you come back monday????? What in the shit show is going on at this place? Talk about amateur hour. Nevermind I will have been driving 4-5 hours (Friday afternoon traffic leaving ft worth yay) I'm going elsewhere.......You guys can have it.
