It has been great so decide to get my 2002 Ford Explorer done here. The explorer was jerky only after a cold start so we tried going with a smaller fix before doing a full rebuild. I was quoted around $1k. It took around 5 days before I got my car back. He gave me a warranty of 2 weeks, full credit towards a rebuild, or after 2 weeks for 6 months, it would be $500 credit. The car was driving fine except during traffic so I had to bring it back in to get the full rebuild. It costed around $3k but I paid $2k since I got the $1k credited back. It has been a week, and the car has been fine since then. I recommend Leeco Transmission as they are very honest and kind. Sam was always friendly and does a good job. I believe they have employees here who speak mandarin or korean if needed. They do not have parking here, you just drive your car in.

The sheer dismissiveness and toxic attitude from the staff made it incredibly clear that I was being targeted and treated differently. I heavily felt an undercurrent of discrimination in how they chose to dismiss me, speak down to me, and openly boast about wasting my day-- treatment I highly doubt they would show to other customers. Unprofessional, biased, and toxic environment. Take your vehicle somewhere that respects all of its customers equally.

Although they don't have a tow service, Christina was able coordinate towing my truck to this shop where they rebuilt the tranny, transfer case, differentials, and replaced a couple of parts. World transmission is a family owned business with respectful people. David is very knowledgable and knows his craft. He went over the details of how my transmission worked and how to preserve its lifespan given that it's a 4x4. Christina is very professional and stands by her word. After I left I reviewed their work and noticed the dust shield on one my brakes was carving into the rotor. I phoned in and was asked to bring the truck back and within the hour of bringing it in, had the rotor replaced with a new one. Mind you that the differential was used so the dust shield may have been bent to begin with. But the important thing is that they didn't play the blame game. Instead they took responsibility and within the hour having brought in the truck, I was already driving off the lot with a brand new rotor. I am completely satisfied with the work and the amount that I paid for it. Truly worth the price. As Andre (see previous post) put it in his post, this is place has the best prices in town. Their prices are fair for the amount of work that needed to be done. The only downside in my opinion is that they have too much work and they don't open on weekends other than Saturday to return the cars. Thus the need to take time off of work to deal with all this. Overall though I can say that I will continue to service my truck here as well as brining my other 2 cars which may be long over due for some transmission service. Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. It's been two years since I had work done here on my 2020 g20. I had carbon fiber mirror caps,…read morepassenger side mirror motor replaced and front splitter installed here. They charged me $500 for this work. Originally it was $400 but I asked for the front splitter installed and that was another $100. I just felt like I was taking advantage off. To top it off the mirror caps wasn't installed correctly and I had another mechanic fix it. Anyways I found another mechanic that has been working on my car and wife's car that I fully trust. Not a rip off like this place. I didn't want to write this review but it's been nagging the hell out of me for how much I was charged for. He also suggested I should change my oil filter housing at 48k miles with no signs of coolant/oil leakages. Yes these are known to fail but no issues yet and I'm at 60k miles now. He said $1600 for OFH. My current mechanic can do for $1100 OE parts. My current mechanics has 8 lifts and are always busy, so no not some run of the mill shop that is low quality. Hope this helps someone out there. Edit: The owner sent me a fake invoice saying the job was $200. It was not $200. I was charged $500. I paid cash. Very petty man, now I'm super glad I posted this review.

8L90 Started feeling slipping in the transmission, ended up…read morecoming to Angel before it went out. This is only the second time I have ever had a transmission issue on any vehicle. This is basically the 2nd worst thing that could happen to a vehicle IMO The job did take time but I made it work with getting around. Angel and his team did have to do some trouble shooting because this specific transmission requires the valve body to be primed on the bench prior to installation. He rebuilt the entire core and also changed out the engine rear main seal. Now, the transmission feels better than ever. I had to give him a little bit of a hard time about not having Zelle which he ended up getting after. Overall I would say, he really does care about taking care of his customers and will make sure the job is done correctly.
