That being said; they do not care and if you're going to have to accept this is a no nonsense kind of place. There is nothing wrong with how they run their business and you just gotta take it like it is. They are expressly knowledgeable and are cheaper than southern horticulture. Mr Lambert has an extensive collection of plants that will not be found at a big box store. I buy my plants that are suited for our area there like Dune Daisies. This flower cannot be found anywhere else in Saint Augustine. His prices are not cheap but he only keeps what sells quickly and they are cared for. I hired them to come and plant a fig, avocado and olive tree. It was $100 per tree. I tried to negotiate but he pays his aging staff $25 a hour. No kids here working. That is far. It's hard work. This is a local business that pays fair wages so support this business.

Over time, the customer service and general vibe of this store has gotten increasingly negative. I actually saw another recent review calling out the fact that the guy doesn't normally even take the time to review a hardware store, but the interactions are so negative that he felt like sharing and I couldn't feel more in agreement. I'm not sure what the deal is. Most employees are hanging around with RBF ready to look inconvenienced by the presence of customers. They like to give the impression of helpfulness shrouded in resentment and seemingly fatigue. I just got back from purchasing some tape which they insisted that someone help me with and then they sold me the wrong tape, which I then had to return to the store to return and buy the right tape. No, " I apologize for the inconvenience" or "sorry about that" Literally nothing. The dude that just "helped" me is just hanging back watching me return his selection about to cough up a lung. i'm starting to really believe that I'm being loyal to a fault, trying to give a small business some support, but honestly, I'd rather drive to another location or another business. Don't even get me started on the big guy that works outside where you pick up mulch- lol he's been a jerk for years! If misery loves company- they sure have all found each other. We immediately called the store, and the employee we spoke with told us the box hadn't arrived yet and that nothing could be done until it was in their possession. The next day, we called again for an update--only to be told by a different employee that the missing box had actually arrived at the store the afternoon of our delivery, before our initial call. No one contacted us to provide an update, and the lack of communication was disappointing. On top of that, the first employee we spoke with came across as dismissive and uninterested in helping resolve the issue. Overall, this was a poor customer service experience. Until this store improves its communication and takes more responsibility for delivery issues, I would not recommend making large purchases here.
