After a failed attempt to find the Shell in nearby Marriottsville, we unfortunately found ourselves at this Exxon. The gas pump worked just fine, so two stars for that. But inside the convenience store was another story. Really, I want to leave 1 star for the experience, but you can at least buy gas here. The women's restroom was out of order and it was unclear if my toddler and I were supposed to just use the men's restroom or if there was another option. I had to repeatedly ask the employee standing a couple of feet from me no less than six times if I was just supposed to use the men's stall. He ignored me for the longest time, never acknowledging my existence. My husband was desperate for coffee, but there was only the bottom of a cold pot and the heater was off. He said it tasted terrible. There were not a lot of grab-n-go food options besides chips, bars, and candy. We rushed to leave this mediocre Exxon, never to return. read more

The indoor bathrooms are closed. They have the most disgusting portable bathrooms outside despite the cashier saying they are clean.

Never seen a gas station with this many pumps. At least 20. The gas station was clean and well maintained. The clip to hold the handle in place while fueling was broken at pump 15 so I had to hold it. I paid with the app, which limited contact with the outdoor kiosk. Also got a receipt by email. I have never seen a place so sketch in broad daylight. However, when in need of fuel and not from the area, you pull into the first place you find. I pulled right up to a pump and did my thing out there. It was easy, pay at the pump mode, windshield clean up if needed, throw out the trash, those type of things. Where it gets sketch is on the inside. I know that the pandemic shifted the way we do business and live our lives, but what the hell actually in here? A lot of things are not available to you. One blazingly huge thing is customer service. The gentleman working this day had no time to deal with the customers in the store. So much to the point that he was on his cell phone the whole time I was in here. Made me feel almost bad that I had to interrupt his conversation to ask for a pack of cigarettes...almost. Drinks were in need and they were aplenty. Another obvious thing missing here were the bathrooms. Well, not truly missing, but off limits to customers for the time being. I was kind of in need to use one, but I figured I could find one up the road eventually. Before heading back to my vehicle I decided to have a smoke before leaving. The customer that went in after me must of had to use the bathroom. After seeing the sign the customer came out of the building and proceeded to make his way behind the building and well...you know...relieve himself. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If this would have been a full service station I would have continued on my way without giving it another thought. read more

This has to be one of the dirtiest Exxon stations ever. The bathroom is filthy!! I would not take kids there. As for the selection, they have a decent selection of snacks and drinks. The staff was friendly. This would probably be an ok place if they cleaned it and kept it clean. read more

12/27/20 My daughter's seatbelt got stuck in car door at gas pump. Her keys , phone all locked in car , she could not get door open . The person inside Exxon would not assist her in any way .. all she wanted was to use phone to call for help .. she had to flag down a nice lady who let her use her phone . Thank you !! I fill up about twice a week and always end up at this location as it is near my home. It is always clean, brightly lit and the pumps are not slow like what I can find at other places. I can get in and get out in a short amount of time, which is always a good thing after a long day. It is easy to pull in and there are plenty of pumps so you dont have to wait to find somewhere to fill up. They have a large selection of food/drink options inside as well. There is a sub/pizza shop that I haven't used as it appears to be only open during the lunch hours? The employees are efficient and they get people through the line quickly. I am surprised at how their prices are substantially lower than the shell station that is directly across the street. read more

I arranged for a cargo van with uhaul. Guy behind the counter was so patient with me...I spilled coffee on his counter and he got me napkins, I couldn't find my reading glasses and he explained everything. Just really patient and never sighed, rolled his eyes or anything like that. Was really respectful and it lifted my mood for the day. The rental was seamless, the ride much smoother than I thought. Went here to use the car wash. You know to knock the salt off of my truck. Apparently everyone had the same idea so the line was at least 20 cars deep and people were leaving it constantly. The line moved very slowly and you are trapped once you are with in 10 cars in this line by buildings on one side and dense woods on the other. We were ther almost 2 hours. It was averaging about 8 mins per car. Way too long. The reason for this is you must pay inside the exxon to use the car wash which is about a 100 to 150 feet away. The distance is not too bad really, but then you have to stand in line, pay and then walk back. Once you walk back you must use the force to correctly enter the code in to the machine because the screen does not work. Then the car wash open the door and 2 minutes later you are out and the next person starts the cycle. Everyone I was able to see went throught he same ritual. Why is there not a sign that says; "Please pay for car wash inside"? However much they made on car washes that day they lost at least twice that amount to lost sales. I do not understand businesses that allow customers that really want to spend money to leave unhappy. Stupid. read more

I went to use their car wash on my way home after work to just get the salt off of my vehicle. In the car wash, everything was frozen over, preventing any soap or water or liquid of any kind to be applied to my vehicle. Not only this, but the big, flappy mechanization that it uses to scrub the vehicles had icicles forming at the bottom of the passenger side. So when it went to turn on and start scrubbing the 'not soap' on my vehicle it scratched and dented the entire passenger side of my vehicle, leaving a paint chip the size of a nickel on my front bumper that goes clear through the primer to expose the bare resin beneath. I brought this to the attention of the man at the counter, he offered the phone number to that station and told me to call at 10:00am the next morning to reach the manager. No offers to refund the $10 for the wash and no "I'm sorry this happened to you." Twelve hours later, on my way to work I decided to drive through to see if they at least put up a sign that stated 'out of order' to prevent other customers from having their vehicles damaged. They did not. I call at 10:00am for the manager and I am told that I am supposed to wait until 10:30am for the manager to arrive. I inform him that I was told 10:00am and I have been waiting since 5:30pm the evening before to speak with this person. The man on the phone immediately knew who I was and asked for my name and phone number so that he could give it to his manager when they arrive. It is now 5:00am the next day and I have yet to hear from anyone. This is how they treat their customers. read more

I supposedly purchased $91 of diesel fuel for my truck over the weekend, and 45 minutes later, my truck died. With a horse and a carriage in the trailer behind me! My husband came and rescued me, and we had to have the other truck towed home. When he had access to the truck, he found the fuel tank dry as a bone. Turns out, you really did have to lift the handle to begin fueling! Lots of stations with a dedicated diesel pump will have the handle bolted down. I saw two screws in the handle, didn't bother trying to lift what I thought was a bolted down handle, and drove away $91 poorer, and headed for disaster. I've just talked to the MD gas station regulators, and they assured me that wasn't normal - or legal! The owner of the station canceled the charge on my credit card right away, but didn't take any of my calls, after the first one. Something smells . . . read more

Was just passing through; stopped here for gas and the bathroom. Not only was the bathroom nice and very clean but they were really helpful when I needed a new charger cable for my phone (the one that came with had stopped working and I was panicking about losing the use of my phone when I badly needed it for the GPS.)
