*****do NOT rent from cascade meadows****** I lived at…read morecascade meadows for 3 years. When we first moved in the property manager, Ben was very cooperative and accommodating. When we told him that we had an esa dog, he said do not worry about the pet fees, that's all waived with esa. We paid on time, no violations or anything broken. All was well, until 2024 we got a cat. We emailed him explaining that we would like to add a cat to our lease and no response. When it really went downhill is when Sabrina became the new property manager. She was obviously new to managing and didn't even read the lease herself. In Jan. 2025, she sent an email claiming that we had " unauthorized pets" on the premise and noted that "violation" in our account and added pet fees to our bill. We tried SEVERAL times to tell her that we told the previous manager that our dog was esa and that we got a cat and email him about that as well, so this should not fall on us. She wouldn't have it, and tried to blame us saying "you should have followed up" and that she didn't care she was gonna add pet fees associated to the dog anyways. We then had to email her back saying that's completely illegal and unethical, to which we provided an updated esa letter. During this time we were looking for a new rental and they asked Sabrina to provide a reference for us. She completely mislead them and gave a bad reference in the application, to which she said we had an "outstanding balance," (The pet fees that she added to our esa dog) and had "multiple violations" (which was the email she sent about an "unauthorized pet"; that we had since we moved in) It was finally at that point when we told her that what she's doing is an illegal is when she finally took the charges off. However, she then tried to add additional $200 pet fee/ per animal, which was never on our lease agreement and we never received a written notice of such "update" to the lease. I then had to email her explaining that this charge is not on our lease agreement and we never received a written notice of such charges so again she's doing ethical and illegal activity and would be contacting an attorney. After this email she decided that she would lower the "fees" to $88. We paid it just to get it over with and out of this horrible situation and into a new place. This was not the only shady thing that happened to us, as we kept receiving other hidden fees attached to our bill like "new account fees" "credit building fees" and over $100 just for water (for reference there was only two people in the apartment at the time). Other issues would arise such as NO parking EVER. the parking lot is always completely full. Not being able to dump your trash because the dumpster was overflowing and furniture left out near by as dump and other annoying things. So moral of the story is that I would NEVER recommend this place, even to my worst enemy, unless like you like hidden fees, shady property managers that have obviously not even read the lease themselves and just trying to get a quick buck out of you, poor communication between management, overpriced apartments, no parking, not being able to deliver packages or food, the main office always being closed for no reason, NOT esa friendly, in your apartment basically every month for "maintenance", and prices getting raised every year.

Apartment was okay during occupation, if you exclude the fact of thin walls and loud yippie dogs…read more They are accepting of dogs but other tenants are not. The walls are thinner than most apartments you will find. Our neighbor above us had allergies and we could communicate both ways without ever leaving our homes, so that's good I guess. The only major issue we had was trying to get the security deposit back. They labeled their rampant black mold problem as "candle smoke residue" upon checkout. So they had to repaint the whole place. Even though bi-weekly, we moved everything away from the walls to scrub them down, it wasn't enough to keep away the black shadow that would form on the walls. - We also had a service dog in training living with us for all of 1 day a week. The rest of the time he would stay at our other location for training purposes. They marked the apartment as "smelling of dog urine" The reason for two stars is that most people expect apartments to be kind of loud and a little too crowded with a shrewd apartment manager, however this wasn't the case while we were living there. It was loud but the neighbors were cooperative when confronted. It was crowded but those around us were at least friendly. And Joanna (the manager) was nice to our face... Just not when we were no longer tenants. So just take very very detailed notes and pictures moving in and moving out, if you ever want to see your deposit again. And also find something to fight mold, that stuff when left alone could eat your dog!
