The beds are standard full and each room has an air conditioner in it for those sweaty nights. If you have more than 4 staying the couch is a futon! I really liked this spot and would consider it again. All of the sites are close together so you don't get the 'alone in the woods' feeling but it's still quiet enough where that's okay.

Lake Darling is a pretty lake and part of the chain in Alex. Brought three other couples from outside the area and they really liked the resort and activities in Alex. Hiking trail was just a block away and it gets you almost anywhere in Alex. Firewood purchased came with a little starter kit and they provided a good qty with large pieces. Property is well cared for and large space between cabin and water. Definitely would come again.

It is nice, clean and homey with a rustic cabin feel. If you want luxury hotel type accommodations, look elsewhere. There is a shallow entry swimming sand beach with free paddle boards, canoes, kayaks all available for anyone to use. They have a water trampoline and a water slide that the kids love. All of the cabins are very close or directly on the shore with a beautiful view. They can coordinate pontoon or boat rental. The large cabin has its own fire pit, otherwise there is a shared fire pit for use. They even have wood chopped and ready for you to use! Owners are passionate about creating a great experience for guests. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a laid back, quiet, relaxing experience.

We were all stunned to see the interior of the place due to the modern design of the cabin. All cabins are full equipped with household items and a kitchen. Two rooms on the main level with queen beds and the loft has two double beds. The cabin can easily accommodate 8-9 people. As for outside, the view is amazing!! Equipped with a charcoal grill, log fire pit (logs were $5 a bundle), picnic table, patio table & chairs. Each cabin comes with their own aluminum fishing boat with oars but we were able to upgrade to add a motor for $45 a day. They also have a fishing pontoons available for $150/day. Our cabin is right next to the small sandy beach where they had a water trampoline, swim raft and water slide. Great place to go fishing. Outside of the rental office there's a gut house for those who want to clean their fishes. It is highly recommended to clean your fishes here to avoid all of the mess in the nice cabins. We've chatted with the owner, Greg. He is pretty cool. We would love to come back for another get together!

This week I've gone for a meditation class, a yoga class and a special event. What an awesome…read moreplace. First, the building is so welcoming as are all the instructors. I did a lunch time meditation class with Elsa and then went back the next day for a breath and body yoga class with Jen. They even have a room for breastfeeding moms to use when they are downtown. Drop in fee is very reasonable too! A great place for locals and travelers alike.

We have a fun family golf tourney there every summer. The owner Scott is a friendly guy that keeps the course in great condition. The clubhouse is a simple double wide trailer beer, restrooms, and other refreshing drinks and snacks. Great for families and experienced golfer also.
