I really like the Waite Park branch of the Great River Regional Library. It reminds me of the…read moreneighborhood library I used as a child growing up. It's quaint and small and the librarians are generally quite friendly. They have a nice selection of adult and children's books and movies. The library is split into sections, one which is predominantly children and youth and the other which is adult. You can order books and movies from the library system and pick them up here. While everyone is waiting for the main library in downtown St. Cloud to open up after the recent fire, this branch is serving as a pickup spot.

I walked in the next door and this female with dirty blonde hair was a real hag to me. I asked do you close at 4:20? I got no answer. I waited for about 10 seconds and asked her again, so, what time do you close? She said not at 4:20, I don't know any business that closes at 4:20 and still didn't get an answer. Again, I said what time do you close? She finally answered my question and said 4:30~I replied back, oh, so I had 12 minutes to get here, it was 4:18 at this time~If I ever go into that Post Office again, I pray they got smart and put the hag in the back sorting mail~She has a HORRIBLE personality to be dealing with people I wished you can give this place a 0 star. New postmaster/manager. I moved to Sartell from DC in 2017 and always went to this location for…read moreservice. Staff there were outstanding especially Kate. Not so much anymore. About a year ago the head lady retired and the one to replace her is not nice. I try not to go to her for service but sometimes it's unavoidable but after last week I will not ever go back in there again for her if I have to stand and wait in line for someone else or go to a different location and this is not the first time that I've had a bad experience with her. She's very condescending she's rude. She treats you like a piece of dirt. I ship a lot to my family that is stationed in the military F PO Box. She doesn't know what she's doing. I can fill out those forms better than her. I always come prepared with the custom filled out. She even not too long ago lost a very important piece for my son's car Because she filled out the form wrong. It was lost for several months before it finally came back to me and I had to resend it. I continued to go back whenever I needed to send something, but after my experience with her this week, I left and went to one of the locations in Waite Park, which is not convenient, but the people are very nice as, long as she's there, I will not go back if it means I have to step aside and wait for the next clerk to be free. She definitely needs some customer service training.. and if it was because of the holiday, I would give her a break. OK you're busy but she's like that all the time she snaps I asked if I had to sign something which I've always had to do. No, you don't have to. oh OK well, I've always well you don't have to again very rude. I'll avoid going there at all cost if she's the only one I can see. I don't make this decision lightly because it's inconvenient for me as well and I like to give people the chance, but I've given her too many.

The building+atmosphere is considerably nice. I don't think I have ever gotten along with a judge…read moreyet; some other staff I have. Not in person or over zoom have I gotten along with a judge enough to agree about an issue I bring up. I have had a furious experience with every case over zoom, those are obviously not in the beautiful courthouses, unless you pretend you have wifi issues and go to court administration for an ipad and solitary room, then at least you still feel like you went to court that day instead of just webcaming people. Knowing where to go and accessing the facility isn't that difficult. There's a great set of stairs or if you have mobility problems they do have handicap accessible ramps for wheelchairs or people on crutches. Beautiful courtrooms. Not much of a maze. Parking is easy to find, I don't mind having to pay as I keep change in the ashtray but there is a 2 hour maximum to be careful about as I recently paid for 2 hours with dimes, and came out to a ticket 137 minutes after my arrival time, I deducted the $2 of dimes I inserted into the machine from the $15 fee though as I was in the coffeeshop around the corner for a total of 180 minutes, parked where I usually have for court. I once went to jury duty for a day, that was interesting and no complaints for that. The metal detectors are friendly. The building to handle criminal cases is different than the building you handle civil cases in, that is where the Law Library can be found. Help will be found in there if you can find the room and ask for the specific help ya need. Judges don't usually let me win or give me a break in any of my civil cases so I don't feel its necessary to finish the courthouses rating higher than a three, because if it was based on my personal outcome for court in contrast to the amount of effort I've put into each case there would only be a star to give as I've not walked away a winner once in two years after trying with maximum effort. I'm not sure if gamblers review casino's based on their win percentage though, so I've tried to base this review on the entirety of the Stearns County Courthouse, and with that said if I was not super unlucky I might like the place because its a nice building and you can handle quite a few different things once you know how to file a case into existence, but I won't say I like the place because nothing is worse than a crappy set of orders constantly delaying things. Reading books and trying to generate an interest in the field of law has backfired after most everything I submit is never looked at, and everything I have submitted got me nowhere. I do not like this county's courthouse because I lose and they have judges with power trips.
