I was taken to st anns due to difficulty in breathing. I was admitted do to pneumonia. What we didn't know was that I had severe sepsis. And was not tested for that for 3 days. One thing about me is that I'm a pain patient. So I take several pain pills throughout the day. I can honestly say is triple pneumonia is very painful, and they were not giving me anything for pain. I was not being monitored, and I had a tube in my chest pulling out infection. My family was shocked at the lack of care I was receiving.I can honestly say if my family had been there, I'm not sure if I would stay be here. I could be writing all day to go through everything. By day 7, I was finally put in ICU. The lack of care I had, I stopped breathing. So I had to be intubated. By day 3 in ICU I was starting to get better. By day 5 they were able to uninitibate. So I was finally able to breathe alot better. And covered in bruises. My experience there was so bad I will never go there as long as I'm conscious.

My wife had fallen on the ice and snow and here we are at St. Ann's Hospital in the Fast Track

Worst overnight hospital experience ever. Facility poor, hospitalist rude. Not attentive to patient needs.

No one wants to be in a hospital, so it always seems negative - but try out some inpatient stays at other Columbus hospitals and you'll notice a difference.

As a patient I'm already stressed and I have several health issues and to be inconvenienced does not allow for me to be a "happy" patient. If I do everything in my power to be responsible and show up on time. I do have the right to expect quality service. To boot when I brought my husband for an ER visit and they kicked me out of the room when I'm his wife. They did not ask nicely! I'm stressed because I had to bring my husband in for heart issues it only takes a moment to be kind. So I scheduled my yearly mammo. I get a lovely text telling me the where and when etc. I arrive 15 minutes as requested. The text I received said to go to suite 230! So I go up there the offices are closed and there isn't anyone at a desk or anything. So I have to come back downstairs and ask where to go. I asked nicely but got some pushback.

He had been having pain for a week on and off and then it took a turn for the worse. He started vomiting. He felt slightly better so we went to the family doctor instead of straight to an ER. We got right in and everything seemed to be going well. They came and did an ultrasound. Then he was admitted. (Yes AFTER THEY DID THE ULTRASOUND) We waited for over 2hours for the results of the ultrasound even though we were told it wouldn't be more than an hour. With testicular torsion, every minute counts. We were told results from the ultrasound sound were negative. (Thankfully) They were going to send us home with a pain medication rx and a referral to a urologist if things don't clear up. I had to tell the dr that things aren't going to get better for him. They've only been getting worse this whole week. What else can we do? The Dr was a little frustrated with me and said well we can run some blood work and do a CT SCAN. If that doesn't work we can send him to the ER. We decided to go with that option. The tech was new and came to draw blood. Blood started squirting everywhere. They got it under control but I never want to see the inside of these walls again. It's nice and new, but that's where it's good side ends. We waited for well over two more hours for those results. Dr came in and said tests were inconclusive. No elevated white blood cells, no kidney stones, nothing. They could send us to the hospital ER, but no one would probably see us there tonight. So we took our referral and went home. This was late on a Friday. Monday morning rolls around. Call into urology and get in to see a nurse practitioner. She lets us know that there are cysts and his white blood cell count was elevated. She believes that the cysts are infected. The Dr at the ER had told us that they were not elevated. The NP showed us on his chart that not only were they elevated, but that they were highlighted yellow on the chart while we were at the ER! If I would've known what we know now, I would've skipped this place altogether. This is NOT an EMERGENCY ROOM. There's nothing urgent about this place, except that it should be shut down. This is a disgrace of a "medical facility". How Ohio Health lets it have their name attached is beyond me. They should be ashamed. This is a cash cow for them and you will be treated as such. We will avoid this place and every other free standing EMERGENCY room from now on. This place is a joke and unfortunately the joke was on us at the price of my son's health and our wallet.

Telling her to, "quit limping," and she was fine, no restrictions, could participate in gym class & double header soccer tournament next day. Morons. I called pediatrician's office next morning, was told UC can see their X-Ray, did not need to do their own, only wanted more money, & I was to call COPC Sports Medicine right away. Doctor said she needed to be seen same day, fitted in walking boot for 6 weeks, due to a "grade 3 lateral ligament tear." Great job, Children's UC on not only being rude, but also not knowing what you're talking about. If it's not you're specialty, which it wasn't, it's okay to say, "I don't know, let me refer you to someone who does, an actual specialist." I will never go there again!

Having been moving and lifting heavy things, we worried that it could be a hernia or appendicitis. We opted to drive 70 miles to avoid nearby more rural hospitals. We used to live nearby and in the past had rare but positive experiences with Mount Carmel. We did not have TOO long of a wait to get taken to a "room". But the room had no bed, remains of food and a bottle of urine. When staff interacted with us, they were friendly and seemed competent but interactions were so infrequent that we felt forgotten even though this was Saturday afternoon and the ER did not seem busy with serious cases. All total during a 6 hour stay, staff interacted with us for maybe 15 minutes. Can't you just poke your nose in and update us? We aren't demanding or difficult people. As luck would have it, the problem wasn't serious but it might have been and you are always scared until you get an answer. Another thing, when he had to go to the bathroom, the nurses station told me to ring for a nurse. How? I went back looked around the room for a call button. Eventually I found a gadget hanging behind his bed, out of sight, that looked like it might work. Shouldn't that have been handed to him with instructions on how to call for help when he was being hooked up to the monitors. And how do you adjust the bed? When we left, shouldn't they have told him, they were going to take out the needle. We thought we were on our own. Blood everywhere.
