I've worked in Emergency Veterinary medicine for the past 11 years, so this process is very familiar to me. I'm pretty numb to it, so I carried my mom's dog into the building myself. Without giving too many details, one of the employees tripped and had an accident while walking up the stairs behind me. I was VERY thankful that I was there at the right time, and so were they! After the adrenaline wore off, and I transported her to the hospital, I reflected about what had just happened. The fact is, "Jane Doe", and her co-worker, were more concerned about my mother's dog, and the care that was taken with HIM, than they were about her pain/situation. Of course, I didn't let this stop me, and kept assuring them that I KNOW he's no longer suffering, and that I am going to help HER at this moment. This type of dedication to your clients is exactly why I will be continuing to use your services, as well as recommend your services to others. THANK YOU!!! Sending well wishes to your employee!

After service was rendered and family members reviewed the situation, Archie and the main office contact lines ignored inquiries and never responded. It is a very sad business model.

The plan with our family was to have her laid to rest here in Mount Pleasant . With sudden urgency I was left having to make the decision of picking her place of rest as well as my father's for when his time comes . I called over to the Memorial Gardens and was told Dan would be able to meet with me . At this point I was an emotional wreak , but Dan was so patient, kind and knowledgeable while trying to guide me though the process . I went back two more times to make the final decision and he was gracious each time. The graveside burial was an intimate setting of immediate family with my dad officiating . Between the team at Stuhr Funeral Home and the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens staff, the visitation the night before and graveside service the next morning went beautifully . My dad was very pleased and that's what mattered the most. After all, this was the love of his life for over 66 years . I now have a beautiful , peaceful place to visit with my mom , as will my dad when he moves here from California .

He was admonishing me for parking on the grass, saying I was parked on top of others burial sites. I did not mean to do that if he was correct but the manner and hostile way he approached my sister and I was disturbing. He should have waited until we finished our prayer before butting in.

Unlike other funeral homes, they are not predatory. They do not try and take advantage of their grief to upsell you on expensive services. They are incredibly ethical empathetic and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs to have a loved one cremated.

Just before A few months before Covid got started, my Mom passed after losing a battle with cancer. She happened to be in a rehab facility following surgery when it happened so they were the ones to call and let us know one evening. My brother and I were both obviously distraught, but things got worse when I called the next day to see what they next steps were. I won't go through the whole thing, but the short story is that before we had a chance to tell the facility where we wanted the body transferred to, they had a funeral home pick her up on their own. Their services were very expensive and way more than we were looking for. When I let them know what had happened that funeral home was very accomodating and apologetic when they learned those were not my wishes. They offered to deliver the body to any local funeral home or crematorium at no cost due to the mishap from the rehab facility. We weren't looking for a service because most of our family is in the Northeast. We wanted to do a simple cremation, and then transport the remains back to Boston for a service etc... After making some calls, I knew that Charleston Cremation Center was exactly what I needed. My brother and I came in to sit down and discuss the details. They were very professional and answered all my questions. They didn't try to play on emotions for any upsells and knew that we were looking to keep it simple. They even made the correct accomodations for flying with the remains and making sure we had all our necessary paperwork. All of our expectations were exceeded and the communication was stellar. All we needed was the basic cremation services and it saved us literally thousands of dollars from quotes I received elsewhere. They do offer funerals and more if you're looking for that too. Hopefully whatever situation you're going through that brought you to reading this review will give you piece of mind to assist in making the right decision for you and your loved ones.
