I went back to the dealership & was looking to get something a little larger and lease rather than finance - so I was looking at the HRV (preferably the EX-L because I liked all the features & upgrades it came with). From the moment I stepped inside the dealership, I was greeted with the same warm atmosphere and friendly attitude that I experienced during my first visit & this time I had the pleasure of working with Sevi Marr as my sales representative. Not only was she extremely helpful and knowledgable about the different vehicles, she was extremely kind, patient, understanding, and honest as she worked relentlessly to make sure that she could work out the best deal she possibly could for me (even through multiple rounds of back and forth negotiations)! I definitely recommend her being your representative if she is in / available because she is truly second to none! Thanks to her & all of her hard work, I came out with a beautiful car that met all of my needs at an amazing price! The only drawback / warning I have about this place is that (both times), I was there for very long periods of time (so plan for a long day if you plan on coming here to get a car - either used or new)... but even that isn't such a major issue for me because I was able to take the day off from work (knowing the potential for how long the appointment could run) & I would rather the personal, careful, and attentive approach this dealership and its workers provide and having it take a bit more time rather than being rushed along, pushy, and treated like cattle like most car dealerships are.

Towards the end of it, around 2pm, there was only one service associate by himself- trying to handle a bunch of people both waiting for their cars, and people just coming in that were waiting to be written up. Finally the manager came out of her office, saw what was going on, and jumped in to help. Some of the staff was on lunch, someone didn't come back from lunch, someone else was on break, another was just missing, etc, leaving this one poor guy to handle a room full of annoyed and impatient customers. The manager found my paperwork, walked me over to a desk to ring me up, and apologized- she told me that they had done a software update on the car that was a recall. "It could take one hour, it could take theee hours, we never know". When I checked in, the service associate told me they would do the recall next time I came in, when I'd be leaving the car for some other things. I told him it was the middle of my workday and just wanted the oil change "no problem, we'll do it next time, if you even want it". This is the second time I've tried going to this service dept because it's closer to home, but both times there was a real communication problem between the associates up front and the technicians in the shop. "Hold on, let me find out what's going on". Service rep leaves the desk to back in the shop, doesn't come back. Gets tied up doing something else or dealing with another customer standing in the service bay. Leaves the original customer standing there. This happened a few times. I have some maintenance I'm going to need on the car, and even though it's further from home, I am going back to my dealer I got the car from. The people at Mariano are nice enough, but it's just too time consuming and frustrating to go there. It's just not a well run service department.

For about two months, I barely drove it--then the transmission started having issues. I took the car to my mechanic. The warranty I purchased from the dealer wouldn't help resolve the issue unless I provided proof that it was the transmission. My mechanic refused to provide that because it's a known manufacturer's defect. I called Happy Auto Sale to request a refund on the warranty. After several calls, they completely ghosted me--no follow-up, no communication. Bottom line: Buyer beware. What looks good upfront may leave you stranded.
