We were referred to MDC after having a sub-par experience with another company. We requested a full duct cleaning of the entire house, 4300 sqft, and they responded and scheduled us promptly. They were professional and extremely thorough. They fixed everything the other company missed and were quick and easy to work with. They did a great job. $425 for 15 vents, $15 per vent thereafter, plus tax. Their first tech did a useful analysis and showed me photos, and then the second brought another guy and together they did ~20 vents in an hour. They use a big vacuum that hooks up directly to the furnace intake, then a generator on their truck powers a compressed air sprayer with little agitating whips on it to get into everything. Then they share before and after photos. They also navigated other vendors using the same rooms at the time. A couple of small issues: the cleaning had to be rescheduled because of illness. Things happen! When they did come for the rescheduled time, they were 30 minutes early, which meant I had to leave a meeting to meet them, but it was just a minute or two for them to get started. Also, they will make holes in the ducts to get into areas they can't reach from the vents, and then they plug them. The plugs are black, and in this case I have some exposed vents that are white to match the walls, so the plugs are a little ugly. read more

Excellent company...reliable and professional! I use Matt's services for my commercial business. The first time he came in we had a huge mess and a lot of backed-up matter in the dryer exhaust. He spent a great deal of time making sure it was all thoroughly cleaned and in working order and refused to charge any additional time above his original quote. Another time we found that a joint was leaking a bit after the job was completed, and when I called him the next day he was immediately responsive and professional in fixing the problem. I tried to use this company. I had 3 appoints scheduled and they never showed up, they never called to appoligize or reschedule. I called and complained they never showed up and the girl rescheduled me with one of their contractors. He walked in and told me he wanted to charge me $300 for the cleaning of my furnace because I have 3 cold air returns, 2 bedrooms and one in the hallway. When I said stick to the coupon he took a shop vacume and vacumed out one cold air return and told me he had done the same thing with all the heat returns. I was expecting him to at least clean the whole furnace. He didn't even vacume the returns in the basement which is the main entrance to the house. Tell the real truth about these people. Just because they pay you to advertise for them everyone needs to know their business ethics" I still need my furnace cleaned and I can't get them to come and finish what they started. read more

We had major messy, dusty remodeling done. We have drywall framed ducts about 10" x 24" and are in a high rise downtown. We had a company (that shall remain unnamed) from St Paul clean the ducts and the ten inch brush they used didn't begin to do the job.
