And in turn they created a customer. I decided to use my cards for massage services. I went to the two different providers they have, Tonia and Loren. Choosing which one I prefer if equivalent to deciding which child you love more. Both deliver the most professional and relaxing massage I've ever had in my life and I don't give that away easy. I'm very much a massage snob. I get a lot of them and as you can see, I've never reviewed any of them on my Yelp because there was nothing to speak of. I experienced better range of motion and pure relaxation. I felt more flexibility and lighter in my gait. These massages seriously helped my body function better and I cannot recommend them more. I am excited to try the other alternative medicine services they provide. This place is seriously magical.

I can't believe how awesome this place is…read more It's a profound mixture of quality and value. I haven't had health insurance in forever, and when I was taken down by a BRUTAL cough a friend of mine recommended I see his acupuncturist and herbalist. Upon showing up in the cozy little office in the Flat Iron building I was a bit surprised to find out that my friend's acupuncturist was neither Chinese, nor old. Please don't take that as I sign of ignorance, it was just that the way my friend had talked about his acupuncturist and how skilled he was, and how he doesn't get migraines and yadda yadda yadda I just assumed that the guy must be Chinese and well seasoned. Call me captain ignorant. The Dr. (?) was named Evan and was very pleasant. A nice quiet guy, must have only been a few years older than me. He asked to see my tongue, and took my pulse, and then started asking me a bunch of questions. I was getting ready for some needles when the doc told me that I was in need of herbs, not acupuncture. He had this big chest of drawers and grabbed some things out of a few of them, mixed them together and told me to add a teaspoon of the mixture to hot water and drink it every other hour. Then he gave me the bill and I was shocked, it was jaw droppingly affordable. I was stunned, and happy, and took myself out to a nice lunch at the indian restaurant around the corner. So yeah my cough didn't clear up immediately, but I did start feeling better after the first cup of what I can only call "cinnamon sweat". Within a day or two my cough was completely gone and remained at bay. My plan is to call this guy whenever I start feeling ill, rather than when I'm in the throngs of death. I'm just excited about being able to take care of my health without having to worry about money as much.

I have always appreciated Evan's thoughtful advice on matters of health. He uses Chinese,…read moreAyurvedic and Western herbal medicine, homeopathic formulas, nutritional supplements, as well as acupuncture. He has treated several of my friends who were all happy with the results.

I was in a constant state of pain, immobility, and emotional distress over the loss of the full use of my dominant hand. I was at first skeptical of acupuncture's ability to help with such a serious injury, while also a bit shy to expose my weaknesses in such a state of vulnerability. But, Mark welcomed me into acupuncture (as someone who had only been once before) with incredible knowledge, kindness, comfort and attentive ears to what my body and spirit needed. Each session with Mark is specifically targeted towards moving energy towards the places in my body and self that are currently stifled or aroused in my daily life, giving me a moments time to focus intently on these areas. Beyond the physical benefits to my wrist, which are palpable, I feel the opportunity to share my life's struggles and goals with someone as loving and insightful as Mark has strengthened my ability to achieve these goals and overcome such obstacles. He's a wonderful listener, and a kind heart to share with. This experience has opened me to acupuncture as a regular practice, while reliving physical pain and fostering self love for my self on a physical/emotional/spiritual level. I cant praise Mark enough for his professional approach, attention to me as an individual, and his ability to make you feel comfortable and effective in your own life simply by focusing on yourself for an hour a week. I now see Mark regularly, once a week, and consider our weekly meetings to be of more value than a price could determine (of which his prices are perfectly reasonable.) Do yourself a favor and add acupuncture with Mark to your self-care ritual, you will gain the pleasure of meeting a great man while reaping benefits you may not have imagined.
