A dying mall trying to stay relevant and redefine itself to stay in business. I cannot tell you how…read morethe mall used to look as this was my first and only visit here. I can tell you that if I knew anything about this mall beforehand, my parking situation would have been different. I parked near the end that hold Target and Old Navy, neither of which stores I visited. I went inside to walk through the mall to see what they had to offer. To sum it up quickly, not much. Like many malls, this one was dwindling in open storefronts. In fact, this mall is attempting to transition with the stores being able to have entrances both into the mall, but to the outside as well. Which can, in my opinion, be a factor of less and less stores inside. If I do not need to go into the mall to enter Five Below, then I don't intend on going into the mall after visiting that store. As for the parking situation, I ended up stopping into several stores on my walk to the end of the mall but didn't buy a single thing until the last store I entered at the other end. Buying pillows and having to carry them through the mall is not fun, also kind of hinders you from stopping anywhere else on your long walk back. I really do hope that this mall bounces back enough. Enough to have the community come back. I mean, there is a university in town and malls used to be convenient places to shop for items. I want to point out the two reviewers that obviously had a plan this year to create accounts to only give this mall a five star review to boost it. Ok Sharon and Belinda, any more obvious one might think you work for the mall and are just attempting to draw people into the mall.

I've known for a while that there's a thrift store somewhere in the area run by people from my…read morechurch. Last week, I finally realized it was the one I pass by almost every day. (I'm a bit slow on the uptake. don'tjudgeme.) Hours are as follows: M-R: 9 am - 5 pm F: 9 am - 2 pm (3 pm?) Sat: closed (church!) Sun: 12 pm - 4:30 p.m. I was in the market for some warm jackets/coats, because I really only had one warm jacket (yep, one) to keep me alive through the winter, and what if something happened to it!?!? I've also basically been wearing my shoes into the ground, so I figured a pair of boots might be nice for the winter. And yes, retail therapy is a thing. There's a rack out on the porch with free clothes (just don't take the hangers), and the store is somewhat divided into two sections. The left side has mostly kids' clothes and a bunch of warm jackets and the side you enter from has all other clothes + shoes. There are books and various types of food to the right. :O My friend happened to be working there the day before I was planning on going, so I told him what I was looking for and he texted me pictures and prices. Twas pretty awesome. There were a lot of wool jackets that I would have loved to get, but I was way too short and/or shrimpy for them. This wasn't too much of a problem though since I found plenty of other things. :D! For $34.98, I obtained the following: -Red heels that I can actually walk in -Super comfy dark brown heels that I can wear to clinic (yay!) -Leather ankle boots (black) -Leather knee-high boots (black) -Super warm blue winter jacket -Super comfy beige hoodie -Super warm maroon vest -Leather jacket (originally from Yarid's, which I cannot afford) (I also picked up a free sweater from the porch.) Basically, the shoes/regular clothes were $2-3, the jackets were $5 and the leather jacket was $10. I am rather ecstatic over my finds! :] Everyone there is super nice/friendly. Definitely stop by if you're looking for great deals! Cash or check only! [Edit] In response to the review below me (apparently, everywhere you go = a 1 star rating)...in what way do they "do absolutely nothing for the community" and how are they greedy people? They foster kids who have been pulled from drug-addicted homes, host free cooking classes for the community to teach them how to make healthy + delicious meals, operate a school and raise money for families who have fallen on hard times, which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of people out there. Please don't slander others when you have no legitimate reasoning behind it.
