They are small, personable, super clean, accommodating, professional, and do a great job! The rates are very reasonable since most services are covered by my family's insurance. Going to the dentist's office is usually bearable at best, but at Fort Hill it was actually downright pleasant. The staff is super sweet, the layout is really homey + high tech at the same time, and they were able to squeeze me into their schedule last minute with no hassle. When you go into the appointment room, the dental hygienist gives you a remote so you can play around with cable channels on their nice flatscreens. The flatscreens are adjustable so that you can watch TV while you get your teeth cleaned/cavities filled (which is exactly what I did!). It's a great way to pass the time and distract you from the fact that someone is drilling in your mouth. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very thorough and gentle, which I appreciated because I've been to many cleanings where I left with a sore mouth and bloody gums (and I'm a regular flosser!). Dr. Fowler was really considerate of my needs during his exam and a later appointment where he fixed a filling. When I left, I received a nice dental goody bag and a big smile. Any dental office worth writing a review about is either really good or really bad, and for Fort Hill, it's the former! Great small business who does it right!

My insurance paid them over $200 for the cleaning and they are charging an additional $215 for this service! In these times of a global pandemic with many losing jobs, getting pay cuts, etc. this dental practice is insisting that I pay more money to them above $204 for a teeth cleaning! The greed especially during this time that our country is going through is disheartening and disturbing!

I would not recommend this nursing home for skilled nursing. My father was kicked out of this…read morenursing home after only 2 weeks and abandoned at Easley Baptist E.R. at 7:30 a.m. The law in South Carolina is that a family must be given a 30 day warning for discharge and attempts should be made to change meds or behavioral therapy alternatives before discharging, which was never done, even though I requested 3 times for Seroquel to be discontinued. In our case, our father was combative with staff at 7 a.m. because he did not want to get up. He was placed in his wheelchair and transported to the breakfast area where residents were sitting for breakfast. Still angry that he was made to get up, he shook another resident's wheelchair and spat. My father is an invalid and can not propel his own wheelchair. He had his own private room. The wisest solution was to push his wheelchair near the nurses station or keep him in his own room, and NOT NEAR RESIDENTS since the staff already knew he was being combative. The staff was negligent and poorly trained to make this decision, both in placing him at the table and then to call an ambulance to take him away. Our family took him home and have not found placement for him in 6 months. I had to quit my job to handle this situation. We were in Lila Doyle Nursing home for 1 year and 1/2. We were induced to come to Clemson Downs because they said that they knew how to handle patients with Lewy Bodies disease and my mother could live near my father on the same grounds in independent living. Now Lila Doyle nursing home will not take him back. If we had known that we were on a trial basis and could be kicked out in 2 weeks of admission, we would have NEVER come to this nursing home. I would not wish this experience on anyone. I was emotionally traumatized, hearing that my father had been abandoned, without warning, at an E.R., and I had to figure out what to do. There was an indication from Clemson Downs administration that they would take my father back if his medications were changed. Clemson Downs could have changed his medications, without abandoning him to have me figure it out at home. He is still combative occasionally, but I do the smart thing: walk away. If he were to have gone back there, the likelihood is that they would have kicked him out AGAIN! Do not risk your loved one going to this nursing home!

Unfortunately, our first experience with IPD was due to an accident that threatened 4 of our kid's…read morebaby teeth. The whole experience (waiting room after Dr. Seuss to video monitors over every dentist chair to capture and soothe kids' attention) helped set our child at ease; the staff, including Dr. Dolan, was excellent with our child, and helped set our minds at ease. All questions were answered with patience and as much information as we wanted. Overall, an unfortunate need that was made bearable by the staff and office. Couldn't recommend IPD more.
