If you do not have a military ID, you will need to request base access through the museum website ahead of time but it is super easy and this museum is excellent and FREE. The museum is filled with volunteers and employees who are there to tell you about all of the wonderful history and exhibits. Everyone has a great amount of knowledge and many have a nexus to the military. You will not regret checking out this beautiful museum!

The docents seem very knowledgeable and you get to tour a plane as well as see a lot of other cool planes. There are a few things that are very important to note. First, make sure you are prepared to spend a half a day. After 2 1/2 hours we were not yet done with the tour but we were so starving hungry we had to leave. The docent was very chatty, and while that would be fun if you're prepared for a half a day, we thought the tour would be about an hour long, not 2 1/2-3 hours. Second, you must call 24 in hours in advance in order to go visit the museum. Third, you cannot use your GPS to get to this location. Your GPS will take you down Peterson, and you must enter through the west entrance which is off of Powers and Airport.

Once you get your visitor pass, take the escalator to the 3rd floor where the exhibits start. The exhibits are straightforward and interactive. You'll find several friendly staff members who are happy to answer any questions you have. Topics include both summer and Winter Olympic Games as well as the Paralympics. One of my personal favorite parts of the museum was the endless signed memorabilia, Olympic medals, and torches. I spent about 1.5 hours here from door to door, but you could easily spend 2+ hours if you read everything and interact with all the exhibits. And of course, the gift shop is right there at the end before you head out the door. As far as logistics go, I walked here since I stayed nearby, but it appears you have to pay for the parking lot across the street. Definitely a must if you're into the Olympics or sports in general, there's something for everyone!

There was a woman at the door checking off names, so we never actually needed our tickets. We correctly went with the stadium seating and were immediately rewarded with comfortable, bucket seats. Venue is small enough, and acoustics were great. Rush Archives put on a really good show in what seemed like an intimate venue. Concessions are much cheaper than you'd expect, which was another pleasant surprise. Water for $2.50 and soft drinks for $3.50 definitely took us back many years too. We won't hesitate to come back next time another band is playing we want to see.
