Went for my first time for the lunch buffet the pizza was good they do need to put some combo in the buffet line up. The salad bar need to be replenished a lot of the items were out or near out and drink glass Must have been 5 oz there were no salt and pepper shakers when I asked the girl at the counter if they had salt and pepper she looked at me bewildered and said they do not have salt and pepper I am hoping they work the bugs out and get it together I will try them again because I do like Mountain Mike's and hoping the best for them. read more

We waited till the news of the new pizza place died down a little before coming in only to still end up with horrible service. Yes, when we finally got our pizza it was good but we had to wait longer then usual to get it because a girl came in and delivered soda. I'm guessing an employee? She asked for boneless wings and finished helping unload the 2 liters of sodas. As she left she left with food and we still had not been served our food. Let alone our appetizer also boneless wings. My husband asked several times if our pizza was almost done and we got the same answer "yes". The employees seemed a little more worried about coming from behind the counter to get drinks or go in the bathroom to text on their phones then get us our food. When we did finally get our wings they compensated us for the mix up with extra wings but they were dry. So it really didn't matter. Will we be back? Probably because it's Mountain Mikes BUT we will drive to Patterson. As we were leaving 3 employees were sitting having lunch just as the place was getting packed this was almost 5PM of a Saturday. This is by far the worst mountain mikes! I ordered 40 mins ahead and when i got there they said it'd be ready in 10 mins. Then they handed me my food and it was COLD! The fries weren't cooked through and the cheese on the pizza was not melted, the toppings were cold as if pulled from the fridge. They forgot the ranch and didnt give me napkins or forks. Ordered chicken wings and pepperoni pizza. All were burned. The wings were black in the edges, the pizza was black on the bottom, edges, and the pepperoni slices were crispy chips. Ok, I was right about it being opening jitters with my previous review. I ordered a pizza to-go and this time everything was as ordered, was ready when predicted, and they paid attention to my request for extra onions. Online orders are always ignored ! My pizza is never done when I order. They never put "extra" anything when I order it. When I am here "waiting" for my pizza that should have been done upon my arrival often sits done in the window with the person at the register not checking new orders as they are placed in the window. I had such high hopes for this location to not be as awful as Patterson but I think it might be worse. Employees seem annoyed that you're even here. The wait time on hold with "one customer" in front of me is ridiculous I often have to call back. I gave them the "new" place benefit long enough. This was my first visit here. Pros: This place looks nice! Great a/c, almost too cold! Counter staff friendly. Great to have a buffet option locally. Cons: Place is new. Inexperienced. Salad bar needed restocking, right at lunchtime, some items were empty or close to empty. Pizza fairly tasteless. Not enough sauce and skimpy on cheese. Crust is different than most MM locations, not crispy. Tiny drink cups, seriously we are adults, you can trust us with a big soda. Please, please, please get some salt and pepper! Best pizza I've had, yeah it's a greater wait time then expected but the pizza is still good no matter the wait time.

I am not a complainer nor a Yelp reviewer, but Mountain Mike's in Newman deserves both. The first two times I ordered pizzas, the pepperoni was not crisp like Mountain Mike's is famous for and the rest of the ingredients were underwhelmingly baked. No big deal, it was still decent pizza for this small town. My third order, I attached a comment requesting the pizza be baked thoroughly. When I arrived to pick up my pizza, I noticed the pepperoni was not crisp so I mentioned it to the cashier. I was told that this is a known issue and the employees have tried baking the pizzas "twice" to fix this, resulting in burning rather than proper baking. I was disappointed but told the employees it was no big deal and took the pizza home. Every slice of pizza was raw in the center. My family ate around the raw dough until we decided to cook a few slices in the microwave (not recommended), and ultimately left about 2/3 of the pizza untouched. The next morning I returned to Mountain Mike's with the raw pizza to make my first ever complaint, feeling like my baking requests BEFORE and AFTER they baked it had been completely ignored. I was told that because I had not called immediately, all that could be done was a $5 credit towards my next pizza. Furthermore, the manager told me that her managers would get her in trouble for providing any other compensation. An establishment which serves raw food to a customer who requests additional cooking time should not expect that customer to return. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I placed a order and the delivery time was 45 min.. my pizza was delivered a hour and 14 min late.. I called was placed on hold for over 5 min I had to hang up and call back and they placed me on hold again... I've read the poor reviews and some were low stars due to the fact it just opened up and I'm sure the workers were still in training and it landed on the end of the school year, lots of grad parties etc.. To the point of this review. I came in for my pick up order in the evening, I am very impressed with the customer service-the supervisor and the cashier were attentive, helpful and friendly. Opened up my order to show my pizza's and wings to make sure it was correct- it was looking hot and right. I asked for extra buffalo sauce on the side for my wings-they had no hesitations to give it to me. Long review short, the dining area was very open and clean..cool temperature and I'll definitely come back..great customer service goes along way and makes an impact! Absolutely smart move for the business owner to put this in the cute town where I now live in! I'll definitely will be supporting this location often! Terrible customer service! Terrible pizza! Thought they might get better with time but seems to just be getting worse. This is a little town and everybody talks. Waiting an hour and a half is quite ridiculous especially on a weekday! They need to start looking into management who seems to afraid of her own boss because she is obviously afraid of him or her getting mad at her for making things right and promising a five dollar coupon after you paid almost 60 bucks on crappy pizza! I myself have not been a fan of Mountain Mike's pizza here in Newman since its opening, I know they were in a learning process and adjusting to opening a new business, but the pizza's were seriously underwhelming from the other Mountain Mike's I've had in this area. I've given it a few chances, however after receiving raw dough in our last pizza I was pretty much through with eating here. Now my family member's, and many other people in town have been complaining about the food and service, and I know that customer service can be hard, however I worked in an even more fast paced/hostile retail environment and no one was ever treated like these employees have treated many in the area including my own family. The first time we ordered online there was a huge mixup, for some reason the order went to Stockton, we never were reimbursed and ended up having to have little cesars. However, we have placed quite a few orders since then and I will say the pizza never disappoints! The wait can be a little long sometimes, typically 75+ minutes, but I still would recommend this mountain mikes. I blame the website and Stocktons location for the first bad transaction and also for not being reimbursed. read more

We went for the dinner buffet a few weeks ago, which starts at 5. Upon arrival at 5:15, there was no food out. I asked if they still had the buffet, she said yes. I asked what time does it start? She replies 5:00 but no one has ordered it so we didn't make pizza. Okaaay, we would like to have that. It took 30 minutes and they brought out 1 pizza. By this time another table with 15 adults and children had also ordered the buffet. 1 pizza didn't last long and when you see children, common sense would be cheese or pepperoni pizza, that didn't happen.
