We were completely stressed and began calling pet sitters. Dana and Nicole were able to watch our pups last minute, over the weekend. They were so kind and came in advance to meet my fiancé and the animals. They walked our dogs twice daily and sent us the sweetest photos during each visit via text. It wasn't long before Bailee was able to play off leash with other dogs in Zoe's pack. After over a year of her having no dog to dog contact, this nearly brought me to tears. We have learned so much from Zoe about general dog behavior, but most importantly we've learned much more about Bailee and how we can adjust our behaviors to best meet her needs. Zoe is as good at training humans as she is at training dogs! Training can be a very long process, and it has its ups and downs. Zoe is there through it all with kindness, empathy, and support. She is so knowledgeable, very communicative, and you always feel like you are her most important client. Although we still have work to do, Bailee is now enjoying "adventures" with Zoe's dog pack & we know she is in the very best hands. I was worried about letting a stranger come into our house, but from the moment we spoke it never felt that way. She came over for a free consultation, so she could meet Willow and we could meet her. They were both taken with each other right away and she was very gentle and patient with Willow (even though she was a bit excited to meet a new person). Hope has been an absolute dream to work with. Although my boyfriend's schedule is stable, mine sometimes has a few changes that pop up. Hope is always very quick to respond to my walking requests and very flexible. She always leaves me a detailed message about Willow's walks, along with pictures! And I also want to add that getting used to owning a 45 pound dog who came from questionable circumstances was a little bit of a challenge at first. Hope gave me great advice along the way and encouraged me to have patience as we both settled in with each other. Hope offers walks, outings, dog sitting and more for a very reasonable price. I needed someone to do a couple walks and a trial overnight before I left town to go to my little sisters graduation. We signed a contract, and scheduled in all of the above. James came to my home for two of the visits over a two week period. When I asked James how it went he had only good things to report. Then the third week came around for his last walk before our trial overnight and I texted James the day before to confirm his walk. James replied: "I am declining to do future services. After our last two appointments I'm not comfortable with this job anymore. Thank you." I was shocked and when I asked him why he never responded. I racked my brain for anything that would have caused him to end our service and I couldn't think of anything. Regardless of the reason I found his lack of explanation or response to my text to be extremely sketchy and unprofessional. It left me in a position of having to scramble to find a new sitter last minute, who would be available to go through the same multiple visits with my dog before I leave town. When I called my trainer who recommended him, she was shocked and very apologetic for his unprofessional behavior. She had no idea he would do something like that and told me she would no longer recommend him to people.
