I would like to make a complaint about bus driver on bus #3 today on 12/29/18 at 130pm My complaint does not involve the fact that this man was incredibly rude and aggressive when my father asked him if he could take us to downtown Sun Valley. He nastilally yelled at my dad that he was already 8 min late and that his first stop wasn't to downtown sun valley. My dad responded that he understood that but he would Like to take the bus anyway. Not once was he rude but twice when we tried to get a bus ride back to the lodge and he was the same driver that came to pick us up. He started arguing with my dad about how he wasn't going to the lodge again. My dad said he understood this but he wanted to get on anyway like before. Regardless of how extremely angry and awful this man is, my complaint is that he let my family and I get on the bus finally, then before even looking to see if we were seated sped off going at an unsafe speed with the bus. My 80 year old father was still standing and tripped beforehand pulling his way to his seat. The driver didn't even stop when he turned and saw that my father had fallen and was not seated. He just looked at him and kept driving. This is ridiculous and extremely unsafe for a bus driver to do. My dad could have fallen and severely hurt himself. It is not okay that an angry bus driver take it out on passengers and drive unsafely like that. We all have bad days at work and I understand that, but I am not okay that my father fell and the driver kept driving when my father wasn't even seated. ----- Message truncated -----

Everything felt easy. The service was anticipated, the setting beautiful without being overproduced, and the overall energy refined yet deeply comfortable. It's really the kind of place that lets you slow down without ever feeling bored. One detail I loved and didn't expect? The on-site ice rink. There's something charming and nostalgic about skating right on property, a small touch that ends up becoming a core memory. Add in the heated outdoor pool, wellness facilities, beautiful dining options, and miles of scenic surroundings, and it's clear this resort understands how to create an experience, not just a stay. What truly elevates Sun Valley is how seamlessly they handle off-property adventures as well. Whether it's horseback riding through Idaho's landscape or arranging wine tours, the concierge makes exploring beyond the resort completely effortless, no planning fatigue required. I really felt well taken care of, and already plotting my return

Never have we had a worse experience. We waited forever just to have a waiter come to the table to take our order. Not once did a waiter come by to see if we needed coffee. After an hour and fifteen minutes we still hadn't received our order! It ultimately took 1:25 to get our order and that happened only after my wife literally walked to the kitchen to complain. All we ordered were two poached eggs, bacon and toast and it took that long. And there were hardly any customers in the restaurant (understandable). When the eggs came they were rock hard - not poached medium but like hard boiled eggs. What an awful experience from a place we paid so much to stay at

this is my experience at the best western Tyrolean Lodge:…read more BREAKFAST: the place was very, very cute and very Fancy! I had waffles I had breakfast potatoes with ketchup and it was really really cute and very very yummy. My sister had cereal And hot chocolate. BEDS: best beds I've ever slept on in hotel very very comfy. I slept right next to the air conditioner. but the only Downside of the bed is that it sometimes gets too cold or too warm. ROOM: the balcony is lovely, even though it was shared., the bathroom was very well decorated. it had a marble counter and it had a bunch of different pot products that you could put on your skin and hair the TV also wasn't very well place. It should've been it should've been in the middle of the room. so both sides of the room could see equally. POOL: there's a pool here and a Hot Tub and it's very very nice but the only thing that isn't good about it is that in the pool it has a bunch of pinecones in it and other unwanted debris Game Room: there is a game room here that has 4 Game ping-pong, air hockey, tic-tac-toe and foosball. And there is way more. There are a lot of board games in the lobby as well. Wi-Fi: was very hard to get to the password and wasn't even really that good anyway. Other things to add: this is the best hotel. I think I have ever been to. I recommend coming to this place if you are a deep sleeper. and are willing to pay a high price. This hotel feels like it's never ending. It's really cool. They are outdoor rooms. There are indoor rooms. It's so big! This is the coolest hotel I've ever been to! (Also try the mints in the front lobby they're very delicious!) Happy Father's Day to all!

This review is difficult to write because there were genuinely good things about this hotel…read more The staff members we met were friendly. The dog welcome bag was a nice touch. The dog relief area was excellent, and the views were beautiful. Unfortunately, the room itself was a different story. We booked this hotel because our Labrador was scheduled for TPLO surgery the next morning, and I specifically requested a ground-floor pet room since she already had a leg injury. Instead, we ended up carrying supplies and walking an injured dog up and down stairs every time she needed to go outside. The room had an overpowering odor, stained carpet with pet hair, blood on the comforter, and several maintenance issues. The smell coming from breakfast the next morning was so strong that my wife became sick. What really changed my opinion wasn't just the stay--it was what happened afterward. Instead of immediately writing a negative review, I contacted Best Western Corporate and tried to resolve everything privately. I submitted a detailed timeline, offered photographs, and waited while Corporate contacted the hotel multiple times. I was repeatedly told someone from the Tyrolean Lodge would contact me. No one ever did. That lack of communication ultimately convinced me to write this review. I genuinely hoped management would simply acknowledge the concerns and discuss them with us. Unfortunately, that never happened.

And it's easy to find your way around this airport with only 3 gates. One of the most exciting things was when Friedman started offering direct flights to ORD. We've had directs via United for a few years now and as of this year American too, which makes it way easier for us to get to Sun Valley for some skiing or summer fun. Before this we used to either connect thru SLC or drive from Boise and this is way easier. The planes that fly from ORD to SUN are definitely smaller, but if you don't mind smaller planes it's definitely convenient. The small planes can't carry a lot of weight and my family of 5 tends to be overpackers, especially when it comes to skiing. We've found the bumps to be pretty rewarding and have been offered up to $3000/person in airline vouchers to connect thru cities like LA, SF, Denver, Phoenix, etc. While you can't count on this flying to Sun Valley during busy times can pay for the trip and then some! While Friedman is used to snow I've definitely been delayed here for many hours during snow storms. There's one little convenience store of drinks and costco snacks, although my kids and husband seem to be a big fan of their breakfast and lunch sandwiches. And when the weather is good it really is the easiest airport to navigate. However, their security line can sometimes take longer than the ORD security (no clear or separate TSA pre-check line) so I recommend getting there at least an hour ahead of flights.

Very quiet, non-stressful, complete opposite of most airport experiences. Definitely don't come here thinking you can grab a substantial meal pre-flight, but there are vending machines and some snacks and beverages.
