An awesome day with an awesome guide. Robert was a pleasure to share the day with, a patient teacher (our first time fly fishing) and a great guide- knew where all the fishy spots were and put us on them as best he could. Only 4 stars since we'd originally booked a full day and were contacted just the evening before to notify us we could only go a half day due to Salmon spawning season river restrictions closing in on the float area early. Understandable but still a bummer and wish we'd been notified sooner. We did enjoy our time though. Thanks White Cloud team!

We had an amazing time! Cole our tour guide was personable and knowledgeable. We are a family of four, two kids and two adults, and he made sure we all had a great adventure. White cloud provides everything you could possibly need for white water rafting.

The issue is that this was NOT a very relaxing dinner, we set near a large group of young undisciplined kids whose parents had little or no control of them, the dinner was NOT very peaceful and as my wife said, she now has this location out of her system and we will not care to frequent again. Glorious location, but for the cost of $240.00 it was way over priced. The lodge needs to examine their business plan as we know others have had negative similar experiences

*This review is a reflection of upper management, not the seasonal workers.*…read more We paid $1,177 per night for one of the worst vacations we've ever been on. Upon arrival, we were told that the only time they could accommodate us for dinner was an hour later than we normally eat. Odd, and frustrating because I'm breastfeeding so that forced me to adjust certain things. After that, we were pointed ambiguously in the general direction of our cabin and left to bring our stuff to our room - no offer to help with our luggage or show us where we were staying. The pillows placed on the bed had to be 10+ years old. The feathers were clumped together so badly it felt like someone had stuffed the pillowcase with a bunch of tennis balls. We have a baby so getting a cumulative four hours of sleep on vacation was infuriating. The guests in the cabin next to us arrived at midnight so we were woken up by rolling suitcases, shutting doors, and talking. (At this point, my husband was considering sleeping in our car for the remainder of the night.) For $1k+ a night you get to share a thin bedroom wall with other guests. It's kind of like a Motel 6 but with Ritz Carlton prices. There's no mini-fridge in the room, and they couldn't provide one. During the whole stay, I was putting my breastmilk in the kitchen fridge that the staff used. The breakfast is the same six options every day; nothing inspired. There's a coffee table in the corner so anytime you want a refill during your breakfast, you're getting up yourself. If you want it to go, bring your own Yeti, because they don't have sleeves for the thin, paper to-go coffee cups. Want coffee in your room in the morning? Forget it; there's no coffee maker. Get dressed and hike up to the lodge. Need an extra towel or water glass? Grab your shoes, you're going for another walk. There's no phone in the room to request any missing or extra items. For lunch, they offer a sack lunch where they insist you choose a sandwich OR a salad, not both, which is hysterically cheap. You pick them up in the morning, so by the time you eat either option, it's ~5 hours old. You want to eat a warm lunch not in a brown paper bag like you're back in elementary school? Forget it. The lodge doesn't serve lunch. The hot spring pool is beautiful, but a half mile drive down the hill from the lodge, and not staffed. Forget having anyone at the lodge show you the way. It's behind a private residence too so we tentatively approached unsure of whether we were trespassing. As mentioned, there's no staff down there so you're left to your own devices finding towels, the restrooms, water, etc. We did enjoy wine that we purchased (most certainly not all inclusive, and they also charge a corkage fee for any wine you bring yourself), on our shared porch. The porch has one table and two rocking chairs that you share with the same guests you share the bedroom wall with, so only one couple can sit at a time, while the other guests are 10 feet away in their bedroom. It's really exciting getting to share your wedding anniversary with another couple as they overhear your porch conversation. It's a good opportunity to practice negotiation skills, like, "We can see you would also like to use the porch, can we have 10 more minutes, and then we'll go in our room and you guys can come out?" Things like that. I would have happily shared this feedback with the manager, Ryan, when we were checking out; however, literally the only question he asked us was if we wanted to leave a tip. There was zero curiosity whatsoever as to whether we enjoyed our stay. Pros: Mary Pat and Grace are absolutely phenomenal staff members. The views were indeed beautiful, and that seems to solely be what this venue is relying on and counting on people to remember when they're paying the bill at the end of their stay. For nearly $1,200/night, I'd sooner camp in the Sawtooth's and light that money on fire to keep myself warm before staying at the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch again. Sincerely, Brittany Giudici Director of Communications, Microsoft

Staff were very conscientious about safety. The lunch was more adventurous than I was expecting--grilled chicken, tzatziki, couscous, and a vegetable salad, with PBJ sandwiches as an option, and ridiculously good, freshly baked chocolate chip or blueberry & lemon cookies. Our guide Joey was knowledgeable and entertaining. During the day we saw lots of wildlife: tons of trout jumping at caddis flies, a mink, deer, merganser ducks, and multiple bald eagles, golden eagles, and ospreys. The river itself is beautiful. A few tips: You can bring additional food or beverages and leave them on the bus, which meets the party at the lunch spot. Several groups rafting with us brought small coolers with their own drinks and snacks. Probably a great idea if you have any food restrictions. It's recommended that you leave any valuables or electronics (or other water-sensitive items) in your car or in a lockbox with the staff. The guides have some limited room in a dry bag for phones or cameras, but it's not the most convenient to be taking a phone out of the drybag and putting it back in. You will not have cell service most of the day anyway, which was actually rather relaxing. Even the town of Stanley doesn't have great cell service in areas, so you may want to set up an "away" or "do not disturb" notice for the day. Sunblock and a hat are helpful; you'll be in the open sun on the water for most of the day. Highly recommend this company for rafting in Stanley.

Starr answered all of our questions and was so patient with us. It was the best vacation ever! Thank you, Starr, for everything! You made this trip easy and so memorable! We can't thank you enough! We were debating whether to book everything on line ourselves to save money or use a travel agent which we believed would be far more expensive. After exploring hundreds of options ourselves, then giving it over to Starr to help us, when it came down to it we got a much more comprehensive package with better hotels/condos than we found on our own anywhere and her package (for more days and more stuff!!!) was about 20% less money than doing it ourselves and at least 500% less stress. On the front side of departing there is always apprehension about what you are really going to get but when we arrived what we got was far more than we expected!!! She listened to every single thing we told her and made all of them happen...and stayed within our budget. We got the best hotels in each location plus an absolutely magnificent condo. All had fantastic ocean views. She didn't stop there. She made sure there were so many details handled like properties with no resort fees and low to no parking fees. Plus, she included the maid & cleaning service for our condo. There were ZERO bad surprises...but there were a few good ones. We also booked a helicopter and zipline tour both of which were fantastic. And the best of the best...she was our immediately available agent on hand within minutes while we were there. Whatever we needed she responded almost immediately. This kind of service, attention and care doesn't exist in most places. She and LLC Travel are the best. The reviews we read before choosing LLC/Starr do not give true justice to what she does for her customers. It is far more than one can describe. We will be using Starr/LLC for all travel from this point forward. Thanks Starr for a truly magical and memorable vacation!
