We called Olde Towne Moving and Storage and they provided us with an initial bid of HALF of the first quote. We asked again if we could save any money and they suggested that if we boxed everything, we could save even more. We did exactly that. And we saved HALF again. Olde Towne Moving and Storage has some of the most professional, courteous, helpful guys around. When I would try to pick something up, they would quickly grab it from me and ask where it belonged. They were quite amazing! When they had moved everything into the house, we walked around with the lead manager and if we wanted something adjusted, they moved it, no questions asked. They were even fussy about getting the rugs centered. Not one thing was broken....and they took the boxes we used and recycled them for us. They smiled and actually looked like they truly cared about the outcome. Moving is hard enough...but they made it pleasurable. Don't even bother calling anyone else in the area. Olde Towne is simply the best.

We tried every way we could think of to get it in the house and up the stairs ... not only was the item large and heavy ... it was also delicate and complicated to move, given its design, electrical wiring, motor and hydraulics. Clearly we were out of our league and needed help. It was 4:45 pm. on a Wednesday. We found On Call Moving's info online, called the number, and connected immediately with Jim. Jim was a Godsend! He was scheduled to be down the street from us, and made a quick trip to our home to see how he could help. Over the next few days he worked closely with Joleesa, at On Call's office, to get our job done. Despite On Call's extremely busy schedule, everything came together Friday afternoon. Joleesa called to get us in their system. Jim arrived with a three-man crew: Jesse, Sergio and Carlos. Everyone was super polite and respectful, professional, skilled at their job and well prepared, bringing clean moving blankets and securing tie downs. Jim, Jesse, Sergio and Carlos communicated with us and with each other calmly, clearly, thoughtfully and effectively. Luckily this year, we saw Mountain Properties & Landscapes working on a nearby house, gave them a call and was able to setup an appointment for the next day. Jay shows up promptly and was just about the nicest person you can imagine and proceeds to spend the next 6 hours 35+ feet up on the roof clearing the ice dams. Very professional and really couldn't ask for more; at a fair price and much better than having to deal busted gutters and/or water leaking inside the house.
