Just completed my 4th CCW training with Mr. Laws, by far the best practical training that can be had. His training are why the things need to be done and not '' Well that's what the law says'' and that's all you get. The trainings cover everything from how to avoid an incident, if possible, to what to do during and after the incident. Even the mental aftermath that may occur. My son daughter-in-law and I all took the concealed carry class with John. NO B.S. I was impressed enough that I took my wife, sister-in-law and my other daughter-in-law to the beginning shooter class. My second daughter-in-law asked me if I would take my oldest grandson to the same class. I am taking my five oldest grandkids. I just recently partook in John's initial CCW course, and let me just say it was my first and best experience with learning and benefiting from John's course! I work at a hospital and work weekends. John was very flexible and accommodating when it came to my schedule and was able to work it out with me where I could come in during the week! During the entirety of John's 16-hr CCW course, I benefited from his long history of experience around guns and his background being a military vet and former protective services operator. John's insight was greatly beneficial to my understanding of and comprehension of the class and what it means to be a CCW permit holder. I went with a couple guys from work. We took street pistol 1. This was the most valuable 8 hour training that money could buy. We learned so much and have improved. Great class NO videos and wanting to fall asleep. John is an opinionated man and tells you what he thinks. BEWARE snowflakes! And people who thinks is "cool" to carry. He will tell you what you are doing wrong and how to correct it. Not everyone is going to like him but if you want real life senarios and someone who has actually been there and done it he is the guy to see. No bells and whistles, but he gets you trained and ready. This is what CCW and training classes should be. Leave your BS at the door and learn. I chose John's street pistol 1 course for two reasons: I am a CCW holder and believe the privilege deserves to be supported by proper training, and secondly, John was constantly referenced as the top instructor via word of mouth.
