They handled the large event with style and grace... the indoor and outdoor elements of this field make it quite different to places in I know to play in the LA area... having the option to move indoor and play true CQB or step outside and play the long game during the same game was really fun. My son and I liked it so much we stayed and extra day to play walk-on and explore more of the field. I would wager a guess and say the majority of the clothing is purchased from the homeless veterans in the area. The rest is picked up from garage sales. There is a selection of weapons in the back however they are Airsoft/ paintball/ etc. No real firearms, knives, survival kits or weaponry here. There are some backpacks and several surplus containers however nothing to exciting. You would have a better selection going around to yard sales in Redding. The shopping experience ended with the only cashier, who initially was washing the front door window, staying very close and following me around the store. Perhaps my 4 year daughter fit the profile of a shoplifter? I did find out that the owner was planning to "purchase" more items to bring them into the store within the next week. I seriously doubt that I would return. Save the fuel, don't waste your time here. As I always do with these negative reviews, I invite the owner to disprove anything I say. As I was driving home I spotted it on the side of Highway 273 and realized that it was in fact still open. Walking in I was slightly concerned as no employees were to be found, however he soon emerged from the bathroom, all was understood. I explained what I was looking for and he showed me around the store to find what I needed and was very excited to have a customer and help me answer all of my questions and supply items I needed (I was looking for ALICE pouches to go onto an LC2 duty belt I found). While talking to him he explained his plans for expanding both his store and his personal collection which is on display in the store. He has many intriguing artifacts from all the wars of the 20th century in which the United States has partaken in. He (the owner) further told me that his hopes were to move his business into a better part of town as well as both a museum of his collection and store. He is very knowledgeable about his merchandise and collection and whether you purchase anything at the Foxhole or not, it is an all around good stop. I sincerely hope he follows through with relocating to a better part of town where he may possibly attract more business.

I have visited this location a couple times since its opening…read more The store is pretty big. They have a decent selection of sports equipment, fitness items and active clothes. Sometimes Big 5 charges a lot of money for items you can get cheaper elsewhere. This is why I look at the sales, because often you can find some neat items on the cheap. Service here is fair. Sometimes you need to make some effort to get employees to notice you. Other times they are on it and are ready to assist in any way they can. Considering it's in a small town, this is a decent store for its selection.

But now those Polar parts are not sold. All I wanted was a polar wrist monitor with the chest strap transmitter, but polar doesn't make those any more. Not Big 5's fault, but at least they tried to look up a solution for me. I guess it's back to Amazon to try to get what I want. The employees were as helpful as they could be, given what I was asking for.
