We had a huge snow storm this past weekend. I had to leave my car in the lot because I couldn't make it up the iced over hill on Porr to make it home. I made sure I was in a correct spot and left a note in my windshield. I didn't think it'd be a big issue since they are closed Sundays anyway. So I come down this Monday around 1:00, allowing the ice to melt, and as I'm about to get my car, the owner, manager, came out and tried to say how lucky I was he didn't have it towed. I tried to explain that I couldn't get my car up the icy hill. He said he didn't care. "It's a business". Obviously it's a business. I was planning on coming back and having my car looked at as I've just moved up here and don't have my normal mechanic anymore. After the experience with the bald man with the Napoleon complex, I'd rather go to a commercial mechanic now. Thought this town would be understanding in times of emergency as the hill i live on didn't have power for over 2 days. But this guy shows that they don't. As someone who also runs a business, this reflects poorly on you and your company. As such; I'll make sure to let anyone I know needing a mechanic to avoid this heartless person's business. read more

I wish I could provide a good review but I never even had the chance to take my car in for service. I called to ask about scheduling an oil change and asked if I could provide a particular oil and the correct filter. The answer was "No thanks.". No explanation or interest whatsoever by the guy who answered the phone. I didn't even have a chance to ask about all the other services I wanted to get done - new battery, transmission and brake services, coolant flush and a muffler check. I get why shops don't want to use outside parts or supplies for liability issues. My goal wasn't to be cheap it was to use the correct oil and filter for my car instead of whatever the shop felt was good enough. Definitely a bad impression for a potential customer. read more

I called when they weren't even open the Saturday before labor day because we had a light come on in the wife's Jeep and were driving back to Texas the next day. He gave me solid advice and piece of mind for free on a day that they weren't even open. Half the other places wouldn't even answer the phone, much less be helpful when they did. Monday, President's Day Holiday, Car wouldn't start. How I love MONDAY! So I call Kyle. He arranges tow, which soon appeared. Tuesday I received a call with estimated cost to repair. Wednesday part arrived, repair was done, I pick up my vehicle. 48 hours is an amazingly quick turnaround. 2 years warranty on parts and labor at ANY Napa Auto Repair on the Planet! Great value, courteous service. Couldn't ask for anything better. read more

I called to request a diagnostics on my BMW. Said they could run the diagnostic on it. I told them I would be paying for it and not a third-party because they do not like going through third-party(car is under warranty). Kyle, who I was speaking to said, I'm sorry I can't help you. I said wait you just told me you could run a diagnostics and I would pay for it. He said I'm sorry I can't help you, I kept asking what changed and he just kept repeating I can't help you we're just too busy. I have never in my life experienced anything like this. Please don't go to this place of business. They are the rudest people I have ever spoke to in my life. Sadly, I have to put a star rating on this business. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Kyle, the owner, was polite, professional, and personable. The price was reasonable, about what I was expecting. The work was done well and quickly. The waiting area, as promised on their website, was super clean and comfortable. The restroom was spotless. When the work was completed, Kyle gave me a clear and complete explanation of what was done. I am extremely happy with Mountain Tech, and I will be giving them all my future business. read more

Save yourself a terrible interaction with a grumpy and unreasonable old man. Absolutely awful customer service. We called and asked if they had time for oil change and changing a fuel filter we had already purchased and needed replaced. We were told to come in and they would inspect the vehicle to see if they were able to service us. Upon arrival, a mechanic inspected our vehicle and told us he was able to do it for us and scheduled us for an appointment later that day. We were relieved, as we are visitors in the area and were hoping to be able to be on our way as soon as we were able to. My husband mentioned that our check engine light had also turned on and kindly asked if they would be able to check it for us. The man said no, because that's not what we came in for. Understandably, my husband said that was not a problem and went on to let the man know we had already purchased a filter and asked if we could pay for them to install that one (which is what we came in for). The man again, rudely responded no. So my husband asked what the price of a filter through their shop would cost. The man refused to give a price and then suddenly just cancelled our whole appointment and said he wouldn't do any of it anymore. My husband was very confused and was unsure why this man reacted this way, as he was asking reasonable questions and was doing so in a polite way. We were, of course, prepared to pay for a new filter and for any work being done on our van, we were were understanding when he said no to checking the check engine light and no to using the filter we already had. Yet he suddenly and out of nowhere he cancelled our already scheduled appointment after we asked for a price (which customers have a right to do when paying for parts or services). Anyway, steer clear and go elsewhere. Immediately after, we went to Art's Repair Plus (without even calling first) just a few miles away. If you need any work done we highly suggest them! The owner took us in right away. We asked all the same question and told him our situation and he answered all our questions just as kindly as we asked them. He even bumped us up because he knew we were out of town. He said yes to checking our light and using our already purchased fuel filter. Guess things have a way of working out. Glad we did not give Mountain Tech Automotive our business, and we were able to give it to someone more deserving. read more

We had several engine lights come on during drive to Ruidosa. Made it there without having to pull over but knew something was definitely wrong. Called several places and read reviews. Mountain tech got us in and fixed. Wasn't cheap by any means but when you're out of town you're at their mercy. Honest assessment and super friendly. Counted my blessings that night. I would not have these guys service my diesel again. I last had my oil changed by Firestone who for the same price also rotated my tires. I mentioned I was looking for tires as the diesel pulling 10,000 lbs 90% of the time has worn the tires to the wear-bars in 19,000 miles! These folks said i can easily go another 5,000 miles. Really? I can go another 25% farther when the tires are already at the wear-bars? Not in states that inspect tires. you can't. Clearly they don't know what pulling 10,000 lbs does. They also tried to sell me a new air filter. If the surface of the pleats are dirty, but the remaining 3 inches of pleats are good, the filter is not bad. Just trying to make money off you while already being expensive for what they do. read more

I only give it one star because I can't give it zero. We were towed here at 3AM, slept in our vehicle, and asked for help the moment it opened. The owner refused our service with a sassy attitude with little explanation, and then sassed the guy in line behind him. If you want sass without the service, look no further. He then asked us to get out of his parking lot while we waited for our tow truck. This guy hands down RUINED our vacation. read more

Highly professional service with competitive pricing. What sets this place apart is the owner and his wife who keep the place very clean and comfortable for the customers. I went in because my car had broken down, and I was lucky to be directed to this place. Kyle let me use his phone for an inordinate amount of time while I tried to arrange a tow truck through AAA. He assured me everything would be handled, and it was. He is a man to be trusted; you can tell that by the pride he takes in his business both behind the counter and in the shop. He was clear about the estimate and kept me informed every step of the way. When I picked up the car, he showed me the parts that had failed. So glad we found this place. We are from out of town and we were stuck with our truck not starting. Lucky we googled for help and found these guys. They were super friendly and helped us out, saved our trip. Happily fixed our vehicle even though it was close to their closing time on a Friday. Did not take advantage of us, as they could have since we were in a pickle. They even called after we got home to make sure the truck was running good and we got home safely. WARNING Do not take your vehicle here!!! If I could I would give this business a zero rating. Very Unprofessional and rude. If you take your vehicle here for one thing they will come up with a list of other issues for the vehicle and fix it without asking and then charge you for something that you did not give the OK to fix. Also, I do not recommend that you take your vehicle here but if you do take your vehicle here CHECK the job they do before you leave the their lot and take pictures. Because I had my truck serviced there they did not put the clips on the shifter, instead they used ZIP TIES, which some melted and broke and the shifter melted. When I called and asked the owner he completely denied what they did and laughed at me. I told him I paid for a professional job and he said it was but ZIP TIES is not something a professional mechanic would do. DO NOT TAKE YOU VEHICLE HERE!!! they will ruin your vehicle so that they can charge you for something that most likely does not need to be fixed or will sabotage your vehicle so that they can charge you to fix it. Will do anything to get more money out of the customer. read more
