We had our brake lights coming on while driving from Texas to Arizona, so we stopped overnight and needed to make sure it was safe to continue the next morning. Salonon, Wayland, and J (I'm blanking on his name), along with "Fish" -- who I briefly talked to about his nickname -- were all professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They got us taken care of quickly and didn't try to upsell anything, which I really appreciated. They checked and topped off the brake fluid and suspected a cracked radiator, so they added fluid there as well. Great value - It gave us peace of mind to safely continue our road trip. read more

Came back after a few months due to horrible experience in December of 2025. I had a nail in the tire and still had warranty from the 2k worth of tires spent, i walked in and there was new MGMT and crew. I got my tire fixed for free and there were no problems, hassles, rude, snide, mean comments and no bs. Completely different service than before. I had scheduled a 10 am appointment, I even got a reminder the day before, which I responded to. I got to the shop about 1/2 hour early, so about 9:30. I saw 3 other vehicles go in the shop, but never mine. I'm not sure why they even set appointments. It was 2 hrs before they even got my rig in. There should be repercussions for this poor of service. read more

I had a flat in Cloudcroft and had a 600 mile trip ahead of me. These guys got us in quickly, patched up the tire and sent us on our way... for free. They knew we were out of towners, and they treated us like friends. Side plug for the proximity to Los Victor's tacos. We had excellent breakfast burritos while we waited and that saved us some of the road time we had lost. read more

Just stating the facts, we went in for new tires and alignment. We were sold new tires but they refused to align the vehicle and presented us a quote for $2000.00 worth of front end work they said needed doing before they would align it. We returned to our normal dealer in AZ. They said the tires needed balancing, that had not been done, and an alignment. $159.00 later the vehicle is driving normally. We will not use this business again and we'd advise caution if you do choose to use them. read more

I stopped for an urgent repair of a flat tire. nail on the bottom. the guy wanted to sell me a new tire He did not want to repair it. he did not show any consideration to help. These people are amazing! This is a place you can trust! I went to another place in town to have them fix my flat tire and they lied and said it couldn't be fixed and tried to sell me a new tire. Luckily I saw where the screw was at and knew that was a lie so I came to Big O. They immediately got me in and fixed the tire. Didn't try to sell me anything extra and provided amazing customer service. I'm so happy to know I have a place in town that I can trust. Especially because I'm a woman and often times other places will try to sell you things you don't need because they think you don't know any better. But not this place! The worst service I've ever had they caint get anything done even when a vehicle is left for three days 2 a week. The past few years I have to go back twice or three times to get it corrected. Sean is the best! I have an older model suburban that was having intermittent sounds coming from under the hood. The team could not get the sound to replicate and asked if they could keep it overnight. They checked in the morning and even after driving it around the sound was just not there. Instead of gouging me for who knows what they just informed me that they couldn't find an issue and didn't charge me a penny. What a refreshing turn of events for our vacation. We were visiting from Fort Worth and my vehicle wasn't driving right on the way here. It had been an intermittent issue but now just seemed like there was a big drop in power and fuel economy on the 8+ hour drive. Mike and Tim were able to get it looked at the next day, ordered parts and fixed the following day. They even found a couple other issues and fixed them at no extra charge. My brother took his new 2018 Explorer with 3,200 miles to get a tire repaired with a small screw well within the tread line. We all understand how this works on a holiday weekend in Ruidoso, but even this story leave me furious. The tire shop refused to patch/plug this tire, and refused to sell him only one tire. They proceeded to tell my him that he had to buy not just one, but all four new tires, on a vehicle that has 3,200 miles. To add insult to injury the price of these tires were 2 1/2 times the normal rate you would find in Las Cruces. I would recommend if you're from out of town, do not go to this place they will have proven to take full advantage of people. I am glad he called me first before falling for this. Had brand new 35" tires put on my truck 2 weeks ago and had to drive from Rhode Island with them not balanced correctly and shaking. When I called they had me come in same day and correctly balanced my tires in about 30 minutes. There's no more vibrations and they were friendly and knowledgeable. read more

If I could give more stars I would. I visited Big O in August coming into Ruidoso in my motorhome. I had discovered a slow leak in the inside rear tire, that would lose pressure at night, but not while driving with tires heated up. I called the day before and was told to just come in as soon as I got to town which I did the next morning. As soon as I drove up they saw me and came out to the street to direct me into the back of the shop where there was room for the motorhome. Two techs immediately began checking not only the known leaking tire but all 6 of them. They found a bad valve stem extender, had a jack under the rig soon afterwards, and replaced the extender with one of higher quality. Within an hour I was checking out and on my way. Did I mention that the price I was charged was jaw dropping reasonable? The owner actually priced out the work. I could not have been more pleased and would recommend Big O to anyone. Being from out of state, they easily could have taken advantage of the situation but bent overboard to treat me well. Go to Big O if you need tire work done. read more
