The hardest part was actually finding your way out, and we did this during the day, I have a hunch that the real fun is at night. They have flashlights for rent, and on top of finding the stamps, I think it gets pretty spooky in there. The kids were loving the haunted hayrides during the daylight though, so they seemed to have found a good balance between frightening and fun. They had little fair games, pumpkins for carving and your typical concessions-the corn sling shot was the best...and we were lucky enough to be there for a zombie flash mob done by what must have been an all ages dance class, very cute. Not a lot for the adults to do/look at while the kids are running around except sit by the fire pit and sip cider, but there are worse things!

For example, they raise their chickens outdoors on fresh pasture with grass and bugs to eat--no soy! They also feed their animals organic, non-GMO ancient grains from a nearby Amish family, so the animals have better nutrition and health. This farm's current products include chicken, beef, lamb, eggs, and dog food. Customers may purchase these products through Nature's Grove Farm's website for either delivery or pickup. Customers may also order some foods through Market Wagon's website. So far, I have bought only chicken eggs from Nature's Grove Farm, but I plan to buy more foods from them in the future. The chicken eggs were very colorful--various shades of white, brown, and green!--and tasted very fresh and delicious.

I know why Westmoreland country club only has 400 members and Greensburg has 1200 members. The prices are absolutely ridiculous. Basically you pay $20,000 a year for you and your family. And the place looks like it came straight out of the 60s. it smells absolutely horrible in there. As soon as you walk in, you get a punch to the face of mothballs and embalming fluid. I don't know why. I won't lie. The woman who toward us was super nice. And the manager who was a real nice guy, he gave us coffee and tea. But some of the things I didn't agree with. And some of the things that I didn't agree with was if I wanna go golfing, I'm free and I get a cart for free but if I wanna bring my brother who wouldn't be part of my membership, he's $325 to play and he has to pay an additional $35 just a ride in the golf cart. That is absolutely stupid. I've been a member at country club before. And a lot of them do not do that. They say they have a restaurant but it's not even open yet. And they're closed two months out of the year. Every country club that I've ever been a member at they're open all 12 months. They'll just have one day a week that they're closed. But you can still golf on that day. I do not recommend this place. This place needs to be tore down and start all over again. They need to modernize and they need to get rid of that funky smell. Most of the people that go to Westmoreland country club are 50 years or older. Greensburg country club they said most of their members are between the ages of 21 and 40. They do have some that are older and they also have a younger group of kids that are legacies off of their parents, but also are really in the golf. And when you want to golf with a family member not in your package it's $40 and the cart comes with it for free. That's more reasonable. Their pub looks so much better than Westmoreland and their dining room is beautiful.

The one noticeable addition to the festival is that more ethnicities are now involved. I missed last year, so this may have happened last year, but I was unaware. It's a great mix of multicultural awareness. And oh my god, it's a great mix of food to get. The food selection has expanded and you can get food from the churches, from street vendors, and now from food trucks from around the area. I left here this year so full of so many different foods that I could have had the UN in my stomach. My stomach was at harmony. Too bad that this only happens once a year and not every single weekend.

I felt I was taken advantage of by high price gouging on the slushy to go in this time of pandemic. Poor experience and rate average as best.

I found this great winery because I'm doing the pour tour and it wasn't that far from an area I was…read morein. I was pleasantly surprised at what a charming and great place it is. It was interesting to be driving in a residential neighborhood and suddenly see vineyards. I bet it is gorgeous in the spring and summer! When I came in, they were pretty busy, but I was greeted immediately. There were a few tables with groups that looked like they were having a blast. One group with quite a spread of snacks and wine (they have had a cute tablecloth on the winery's table) and a couple who were enjoying a bottle of wine and a cooler's worth of snacks they brought on their own. Since I was new to the winery, I decided to try the sample flight. For $8, I was able to sample five different wines. If you purchase three or more bottles, the sampling is free. It was tough to narrow it down to 5 because they had so many intriguing sounding options. I settled on a Saperavi, pinotage, cabernet franc, apple and black raspberry. I really enjoyed each of them, my favorite being their cabernet franc (which is my favorite wine). The Saperavi was a close second, though. You mark your choices on a paper and then your samples are brought to your table. They are in small plastic cups and labeled by number, but you are given a wine glass to actually taste the sample. This was a nice touch because wines can definitely taste different in a glass vs plastic cup. The server spent time with me talking about each wine, the history of the winery, where the grapes are grown (some right on property, most of the others are from somewhere in PA). She also told me they are releasing a new Cabarnet Franc sometime soon which I'm definitely going to check their social media to see when it is released to sample it and hopefully buy a few bottles. I really enjoyed the wines here and my overall experience and will be back!

Not only were the eggs already blown out but a penciled in grid was already on the eggs. Our instructor was the mother/mother-in-law of the winery owners. By no stretch of the imagination are we Martha Stewart but 3 adults and 3 children (ages 8 to 14) had a good time. We were able to purchase flights of wine, glasses, and bottles. All of their wine is bottled in very pretty cobalt blue glass. The winery is off the beaten path. It is located about an hour from downtown Pittsburgh. Directions are very easy ... 51 South then just a couple turns and you are at their front door. Looking forward to returning when there are grapes on the vines.

You start the tour with a little bit of information about the farm and it's history. You then proceed to the automated milking machine area. It is fascinating. Totally automated. The cows choose when to enter and the machine takes care of the rest. It automatically washes them, connects, milks, analyzes quality and amount of milk and then completes the process. During the tour we saw three different cows get milked and were able to ask a ton of questions. After viewing this portion we entered the barn where all the cows currently being milked are. It was fun seeing their different personalities through how they interacted (or didn't) with the visitors. They even have cow massagers! Next we saw the calves. Some were born as recent as last week. Then came the hayride. It was a 20ish minute ride through the farm's beautiful property. One of the farm's owners was on with us to answer questions. I think the highlight for everyone was the tasting at the end. Each guest is given an individual container with several varieties that we tasted in a particular order. My favorite was the cheese curds. My daughter loved the pepper Jack and my son loved the pizza cheese. We also sampled the quark cheese spread (which is kind of a combination of cream cheese and goat cheese in texture and flavor). The tasting was completed with their chocolates which are stuffed with their quark cheese. Amazing. When the tour was completed we were free to visit with the cows again or make some purchases. Such a great experience that I highly recommend to everyone!

Recently discovered this spot with friends-- it was one of the closer haunted hayrides to…read morePittsburgh, about 45 minutes away in Fayette County. Allen's Haunted Hayrides is right along Route 51. In addition to hayrides, which last about 30 minutes, there is a haunted house, food vendors and other activities. Our group reserved a bonfire, which was $30 for a 2-hour window. You can bring your own food and drinks: we brought supplies for s'mores and some other snacks, but we saw others with hot dogs and other items. Tickets for the hayride or haunted house are $15 each, while a ticket for both is $25. Our hayride driver was hilarious and we really enjoyed our time. A tip: everything is cash and there is no ATM on site.

We only do the hayride and the actors are amazing they give you a scare and then high five the younger kids some will even take their mask off to show it's all pretend. It's a great introduction to scares and haunts for young children. With that said this year it was very bland. The kids even said it was "lame" and not because they are growing out of it but there were barely any actors there. Last year there were about 7 actors climbing on the hayride at one time. This year there were never more than two with a few sections abandoned all together. No where near as many screams and laughs as years previous. We still paid $25 a person and still waited in over a two hour line. Usually we don't mind at all but they really dropped the ball this year. We even went on a Saturday one of their busiest nights with hundreds of customers. Not sure why it was so barren this year of actors but I feel if that's the case they should drop the price if only for $5. They are a great family and everyone is nice and friendly but this is the first year I feel like I wasted my money. I think next year we will venture elsewhere. It may have just been a fluke on this ONE NIGHT but I dunno. Still a great introduction for young kids
