I only give this place a star because I had to give at least one. My experience at this cabin was terrible. My husband and I rented a cabin to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival, the water heater had went out and the floor was flooded. We called the office and was asked if we could go somewhere for a hour or so, while she sent maintenance. We agreed even tho we were completely exhausted from the day and had brought food with us to eat that evening. We went to a local restaurant only to return to the same problem. Long story short. The room absolutely stunk like a musky smell. The sheets didn't look like they had even been changed. On top of that we itched all night long in bed. Not sure if that was mosquitoes or what because we couldn't open the back door cause of all the wasp flying around. It was a terrible experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have since learned that this place was sold to New owners and the service has from this place has tremendously dropped. The new owners don't care for their guest like the previous owner. im giving a star only because i had to, to do this review. Otherwise there would be no stars. These ladies that run this office are crooks and they are rude. I was over charged, when i called about the charge i was emailed a receipt and was told there would be a copy on file and when i arrived it would be taking care of. long story short, that never happened! i had to even pay extra! i had no choice but to keep the cabin or loose all of my money. To top that off, there was swarms of bees all over our back deck, when i called the office they offered no help and i was told pest controll had been called and i could purchase some spray myself at the local dollar store! We stayed in the Riverview cabins. There were 5 of us and we stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and a one bedroom unit. The pluses ... great location, shared porch, roomy cabins, kitchenette in 2 bedroom was nice, cable & our internet worked. Negative ... mattresses were not too comfortable, beds could use an additional blanket in colder months. But the worst is the noise. The walls are paper thin. You can listen to the TV show your neighbor is watching, hear conversations and bathrooms. The road noise is also terrible. read more

This experience was the worst one I have ever encountered dealing with a business. I would not recommend giving a single penny to this company. We booked cabin #13 for a long weekend for my sisters wedding, checked in and proceeded to go to the cabin. The cabin itself was in a fantastic location but don't let that fool you. When we opened the door the smell of mold and mildew was so overpowering we immediately had to open all of the windows and doors. We thought that maybe it had been unoccupied for some time and airing it out would make it better. We left to join family and came back 6 hours later but the smell was still there. As we were getting ready for bed, my wife noticed a giant centipede under the nightstand near the wall. After taking care of that, we tried to call it a night. The pillows were damp and smelled of mold as did the sheets and bath towels. We had to wrap our t-shirts around the pillows just to make it sleep-able for the night. We went to Walmart the following day to buy new pillows, sheets, bath towels and a shower curtain as we were told they were sold out of cabins and this is what we had to stay in. The front office lady said that she warns people when they call that this particular cabin has a musty smell. I asked why we were never informed of that and she stated, "It's because you booked online." We were treated with such disrespect from the front office staff that I could never recommend this place to anyone. I will say, after 20 minutes of argument my wife was able to get them to let us stay in a larger cabin that they originally said was unavailable for no extra charge after they told us we would have to pay an extra $399 a night. I don't want anyone that might be thinking of staying with this company to have to go through what we had to. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

I wrote a review for Tellico Log Cabins as well as that is the name of the website. Not sure which business name they prefer. We stayed in the Crow's Nest (owned by Mary Saunders) for Thanksgiving 2018. The cabin and the view was BEAUTIFUL. The owner's personality, not so much. We researched cabins for 14 people. This seemed perfect for us! As we left, I left a letter with some suggestions about maintenance. The letter was not derogatory or negative- just things that needed to be maintained. When she called us today, she started by saying how much we paid - that we really only paid for one night since we only paid $600. What?!?! Um no, we paid over $1300 for that cabin for 2 nights. She then went on to say that she wasn't even aware that we were staying in that cabin, that she thought we were staying in the Gray House. Not my problem that their office can't relay reservation information. (When we checked in, the lady in the office knew immediately where we were staying, no questions asked.) She refused to let me talk and kept saying, "I will talk first and then you can." I explained multiple times that I did not intend for the list to be mean or negative. She then said that my letter was VERY HATEFUL because I had underlined things and almost brought the cleaning lady to tears... because the double oven doesn't work and the remotes needed batteries?!?! She kept saying we should have called about issues- we did, but there was no answer. We assumed it was because it was Thanksgiving time. Nothing was a big enough deal for me to be persistent to interrupt someone's Thanksgiving family time. I felt the note would be sufficient to have them check things that needed addressed. It makes me sad that this is such a beautiful place and close to home that we won't be able to utilize in the future because of the horrible customer service. read more

Clean, small and inexpensive, that's what we were after and that's what we got. Our initial plan was to camp, but my husband found this place online and knew that at $43, it was only a bit more than the $20 camping sites at Indian Boundary. He didn't book online because we weren't exactly sure what day that we would be in the area. When we reached this location, we called to make sure that they had availability and there was plenty. We stayed on a Sunday and a Monday in May and were one of only two of the row of one room cabins that were occupied. They have several cabin options... hot tubs, large cabins, cabin complexes and the one room cabins. We opted for the most secluded, which is the end cabin #16. It is a manufactured like cabin but was immaculate and decorated in black bears and a rustic theme. I think we were one of the first ones to stay in it though because there was still saw dust on the wrap around porch. It also had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and dishes. The shower is super small though, so if you're large, you may want a different option. They don't sell liquor in this area and it's at least an hour drive to the next town who does, so just a little FYI. There aren't many restaurant options around, and I do not recommend the nearby Crap Trap. So, you want to bring your own food too. The ladies at check-in and check-out were super nice too. read more

I recently stayed 10 days in a single cabin in the Riverfront cabins. Originally I booked for 7 days but I added on 3 days because the cabin, scenery and sounds were so relaxing. The cabin was amazing and located right on the river. Each morning, I wrapped up warmly and sat on the beautiful front porch drinking my coffee and listening to the beautiful sound of the river. The king bed was very comfortable and the small kitchen was more than adequate for my needs. The pine log interior & furniture were tasteful and true to the mountain theme. A convenience store & gas station were not far from the cabins and Bald River Falls a short drive away. I'll definitely go back! Booking & check-in were so easy and office staff was polite & helpful. read more

The Crow's Nest offered luxurious accommodations, a mountain-top view, spacious wrap-around porch with hot tub, and every conceivable amenity for a great stay! My husband and I decided on a last minute hiking weekend in Tellico Plains and called for a cabin. Only a few were left and we chose the efficiency cabin. Inexpensive, clean, easy check in and out process. We stayed in the cabins behind the old office (it has moved to down and across the street) numbered 1-4 and my sister stayed in one of the really itty-bitty ones a bit further away numbered in the 20s. We were all happy with our accommodations. The bigger cabins (1-4) had big enough decks our group could easily get together and eat together. The grills installed by these cabins were super handy. The teeny cabin was cute although didn't have a big enough decks for us all to hang out on. Just FYI no internet or pool or phones in the cabins and cell service is spotty at best. Stayed in one of the efficiency cabins (#4) for four days - three nights for a family wedding. My concern is ALWAYS cleanliness and for $38.00 a night, I was honestly afraid of what I'd find. I walked in the door and was a little surprised at how tiny the cabin was but I was immediately thankful at how clean it was.!! The two of us were comfortable the entire time and the staff was very helpful and friendly.! I loved the peace and quiet and the covered porch was an added bonus.! The shower is very small but the whole bathroom was spotless. I would definitely rent from them again - even the tiny cabin #4.!! read more

Absolutely amazing! Went for a family wedding and everything was perfect! We stayed in the 2 bedroom lodge room F with the water behind us, views from the upstairs bedroom with 2 balconies, views from the wrap around back porch that allows everyone to gather! The water is so clear, after a 9 hour drive we had to go in! The water was anywhere from ankle deep to nearly 6ft! The kitchenette covered everything we needed with a microwave, small sink, minifridge, and 2 stove burners! We ended up using the kitchen to make breakfast and had no problems. Found our new favorite cabin in the mountains! Next time, we are excited to stay in the Crow's Nest... would have this trip but heard the Govenor had it booked for an extended time. There's a CVS nearby with Bear Pizza? next door that was able to accommodate 15 of us for lunch! We also went to IronWorks Grill and the food/atmosphere was amazing! We stayed in Cabin 11, it has 3 bed rooms, it is really nice, wrap around deck over looking a pond, seen a few wild life, including a black bear, which almost came on the porch where we was standing and taking pictures and video taping him/her, but my husband got scared and it ran off, for a little while, but came back, I rented it the cabin to throw myself a 50th birthday bash, after I rented it, I didn't know, that you could not have extra people come by to visit, or I would not have rented it, apparently, the owner drives up to the cabins after 10 pm and counts how many vehicles are there, if there are more than there are occupency you get charged 25.00 extra per person, there was 5 cars at my cabin, and 5 cars at the pond, and she assumed it was part of my cabin, since I was only allowed 6 people at my cabin, that means 6 cars, so since there was 4 extra cars there after 10 pm I got charged 100.00 extra dollars, they do not put this on the website, that no one is allowed there after 10 pm except the people who is staying there, it also says, your not allowed visitors in the hot tub. I believe, if your going to rent a cabin, as long as you do not mess the place up, and the people do not stay over night, why should it matter about their guest they are the ones paying, I wanted a party for my 50th birthday, then they tell me I can't invite anyone unless I pay 25.00 per person, I don't think so, and I was nice, some of the cars at that pond didn't belong to my cabin, they belong to a wedding party next door, its a great place, but that lady drives up there and counts how many people are there at the cabin read more

I have used this rental company several times and have usually had good experiences. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The owner however, is not very good at friendly customer service. The two times I interacted with her, she acted as if I was an inconvenience to her. As far as the cabins go, this is where I was pretty disappointed. The other locations that they have are usually pretty nice. However, this was the first time I have rented one of the single room cabins right behind the office. These cabins are #1-4. On the website, in a few different places, it mentions Decks overlooking river and riverfront view. THIS COULDN'T BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH! My view consisted of an abandoned property across the road with extreme green overgrowth. This lot has not been tended to in a few years. I know the river was right behind this property, though you COULD NOT see it from anywhere on any of these decks. This property across the road from these cabins either needs to be cleaned up so you can actually see the river, or they need to change the information on the website. I feel as if I was deceived by this company and their website. Though the cabin itself was pretty nice and in good condition, we selected this property because of the "river front view" which was a joke. I will not be utilizing this company again. My wife and I book 6-8 trips to Tellico a year. There are cheaper places with better views available. read more
