The…read morefloors had to be swept immediately upon entry, there were hundreds of dead lady bugs on the top floor, and a towel was found floating in the hot tub when we opened it. The host, Greg, also drove by the house and stopped to ask if it was all women staying, making us very uncomfortable, but we pushed the feeling off. Next day, he is in the yard with a couple showing them the property for their potential wedding, because they were in the yard we felt we had no choice but to let them inside. Again, we were uncomfortable, but let it go. Upon leaving we have received an $1100 damage and cleaning fee, for a pool table we never used. The owner has sent rude and threatening messages. Would not recommend staying with this group.

I loved the windows looking out across the mountain. Not sure we have ever had such a beautiful view anywhere else. We enjoyed getting up in the morning and sitting in the hot tub to watch the sunrise over the mountain. It was so nice to have the hot tub right off the bedroom. The cabin had every thing we needed...charm, coziness, cookware, coffee maker, beautiful view, hot tub, jacuzzi. We could tell that a lot of thought was put into this place. We would definitely go back! We were a a short drive away from Clarkesville which had nice food, and of course we loved visiting the Old Sautee store, and coffee place across the road. For us, this was a great place to wind down, reconnect, and enjoy the quiet. We had no planned agenda except to escape the tyranny of the urgent and to enjoy our marriage. Wanted to do a quick getaway from Atlanta and chose tranquille resort. We decided to come and stay…read morefor two week nights as the prices were cheaper and with the wifi, we could work as well. It's only about a 2hr drive from where I am but there was a bit of traffic getting out of atlanta on a wed afternoon when we left so we didn't get in till dark. I called to say we might miss the office check in hours (till 6pm) so they kindly left the key in the cabin for us for whenever we arrived which was very helpful. The rooms were clean and kitchen and bathroom had pretty much everything you needed. We also utilized the charcoal grill. Only complaint was the lighting was a tad dark during the night but maybe it's to help you relax. Loved the view of the lake from the cabin, it was beautiful to wake up to. We were also able to bring our dog for a $60 fee. House rule does say no dog on bed so keep that in mind. There was a little doggy station on site and we were able to walk him around the property to potty. He enjoyed his stay and we liked going to the nearby trials in the morning/afternoon for a hike. There's an ingles nearby as well as some other restaurants if you need food options like McDonald's, Dunkin, couple of Pizza chains, and whatever a small town typically has to offer. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We booked a date ahead of time that turned out to be right after the late January ice storm. The inn called to confirm our visit or to offer a refund with no penalty. "We are comIng" and so they were ready. We were the only guest, however, which was great, because we had the run of the place, but odd because from 9PM until 5;00 AM or thereabouts we were the only people in the inn. But happy hour went on nevertheless, beforehand, and dinner was cathead biscuits, local pecan encrusted pan seared trout, and other local delicacies. We felt so special! Our room was very nice, however, if you happen to be here during or after an ice storm, don't get a room adjacent to the main road. The power company did a great job clearing roads and restoring lines and such, but they get an early start and are big and loud rolling down the main cross street at very early AM times, and we are early risers. Just saying, a very, very lovely stay, but get a back room if an ice storm has just rolled through. Definitely will return!

The ammenties here are nothing less than outstanding with beautifully maintained hiking trails and meticulous maintained common areas. We spent a week in the area and only sampled a small part of what's offer here but it definitely checks all the boxes for a return trip. The staff here was so gracious and was quick to answer all our questions and provided some helpful tips to make our visit enjoyable and was eager to share the history of the area. The landscape is a drastic change from what we experience in our home state of Florida with the higher elevations and moderate temperatures and humidity which made this visit special and a real treat I can't wait to return...
