I hate to have to say this, but Ozark Eye Center has shown itself, in my experience, to be…read moreunbelievably incompetent and unwilling to accept responsibility for its mistakes. In my case, they made five mistakes in a row, finally refusing to correct them. * One: The ophthalmologist assigned me a non-standard reading-distance in my glasses prescription; it was too far away for me to read comfortably. * Two: An optician specified that the bifocal line be very low, saying she thought I had requested it. I had not. * Three: To correct the reading-distance, the optometrist did a new refraction, but forgot (!) to enter the new diopter specification on the prescription, so I had the same wrong glasses as before. * Four: Another optician undertook to do a loose-lens test to correct the prescription, but lacking something so simple as a tape-measure, she tried to improvise, and mismeasured my requested reading-distance by an inch and a half, too close for me to read easily. * Five: That last pair of lenses came back from the lab with the close-focus insets in two different positions and at different angles. In spite all these errors, they refused me any remedy except another pair of the too-close lenses, despite the fact that the one option between the too-far and too-close prescriptions would have required no further testing. My only mistake was in politely accepting that these people were competent in their jobs.

The hut happens to be a favorite of my husband's so I usually tag along. I've been to so many over…read morethe years, but most recently I stepped in the Branson Landing location. It was quaint & as is customary of them all it housed quite a variety of designer sunglasses. Unlike my husband I'm just not feeling paying hundreds of dollars for a pair of sunglasses (I don't care who's name is on them). To be honest, I don't get all the frills and thrills of how they're made and what this one does or what that one has. It's just not that deep. As for the staff, the salesman was young, cool, well dressed (quite mature for his age) and carried his own unique swag. He was articulate and knowledgeable of each pair of sunglasses which is pretty impressive (seeing this isn't often the case with the younger generation these days). He wasn't overbearing and gave us our space to browse around and was available when needed. I'll sign off by saying that I know there are lots of folks that are into their shades and price is no big deal. If this is you, hey I'm not rain'in on your parade. Stop in and check out the newest and truest in the line of designer eyewear. As for me, I'll keep on steppin'.

I'm always happy to go there. it's not an appointment that I just dread to go to. most dr appts I'd just rather not. anyway, try them out.

I would not recommend this establishment to anyone for eye exams or services. On March 17th, I had…read moremy appointment. They were going to order my trials. On April 3rd I called to find out what was taking so long. "Oh they have been in you can stop by." This was 2 weeks after my original appointment. They were miss labeled. The left was labeled right and the right labeled left. After a few days, I discovered this error. I brought this to their attention and acted as if I had done something wrong. I was not able see out of them in the correct eyes either. I called and went in for another visit. Those trials were not any better. I still could not see in the distance. They were ordering me another pair of trials. After a week, all I want now is my original prescription and move on. But they still cannot do that either. It took them 2 days after several calls to get that emailed to me.
