I…read moreonly had a small job I thought, replace a bathroom type ceiling exhaust fan that was in the laundry room of the house I had just recently bought. A malfunctioning exhaust fan is an odd problem to handle because electricians don't want to deal with duct work or anything they consider HVAC and HVAC people want to work on/replace furnaces or air conditioners not exhaust fans. Through Yelp I found and contacted Travis at Handyman Plus. He made an appointment and showed up right on time. The "broken" exhaust fan was not actually broken it turns out, nor was the switch which seemed to do nothing. It's a type of continuous running whole house exhaust fan unlike anything I had seen before. The wall switch which appeared like it might be broken wasn't it's just the way this fan operates. Travis got me all the information I needed to look up this fan and learn how to use it. A few weeks later I had a medicine cabinet I wanted installed in our master bathroom. As the wall area to be opened also housed the electric line to an outlet I asked Tarvis to do the installation. Again this was a small job, not the scale of work sought by many people in an up economy. Travis made an appointment, texted me when he was on his way and did an excellent job installing my cabinet; without hitting the power line or electrocuting himself. I'm really pleased with the work but more pleased overall with Travis of Handyman Plus. He is professional, thorough, capable and resourceful. I would not hesitate to call him for much larger jobs.

I tried for about a month to get estimates for a minor repair to my skylight. When I finally found some licensed roofers, getting a quote or responses was a challenge. Rocky Mountain Roof Doctors was the most professional and responsive. They gave me time frames for coming out to do the estimate and delivered within that time frame. They sent the estimate in a timely fashion and quoted far less for the repair than the other companies--and those companies took far longer to do the estimate and didn't seem interested in my small job. Since my repair was not urgent, they let me know they'd call when they planned to be in the neighborhood for other work and would swing by for our repair. They did just that, calling the day before and giving us a four-hour window the next day. Crew members came by about 1/2 hour into that window and were done rather quickly. I'll definitely call them again if I need roof work.
