There were local artists, entertainment, free easy parking. They had a raffle and sold shirts. It was a really nice event and all the staff are friendly and engaged. I hope they made enough to support their services, as they are definitely appreciated and needed in the area. Keep your eye out every year for the fundraising barbecue!

I did not sustain any injury, but it was unsettling and the business owner was unapologetic by his dog's aggression, which led me to believe his dog is a danger to others, so, I reported the incident to the police department and the Chief of police returned my call. He took my complaint seriously, was friendly, kind and really embodied the idea of community policing, which is so uncommon these days. I feel confident that the police department acts with compassion and responsibility toward the community and visitors. What a refreshing experience! Thank you, Chief Mitch Celaya!

These well-trained professionals pulled our friend off the rocks from the middle of Cache Creek. He…read morehad been stuck there for about two hours after taking the wrong channel with his kayak. Two of our group went for help and after a call to 911 the first to show up was a volunteer from the Capay Valley Fire District. They hiked up river, assessed the situation, set up a rescue rope and got my friend to safety. We were so impressed with their ability to assess the situation and quickly devise a safe rescue plan. Their training and professionalism really saved the day!
