I've been coming here for 21 years and I love this bank! a everyone is always friendly when I go in there!

Unfortunately, MountainCrest either hasn't been around long enough to mature into a higher end credit union or they don't care enough about customer service. I closed out an auto loan last month and they still auto drafted my payment the month after. Called in and rep said 'oh yeah, you need to cancel that out on your end' (no one mentioned this, and it should absolutely be automatic that if an account is paid and closed off that ETF is cancelled). I asked her to do this and she said I needed to log in to my online account to do this. So I did, begrudgingly (I called customer service, why can't she do this?). Then I asked her to mail the check to me. 'Is this your current address?' No, I say. 'Please change your address in online account access'. I have no idea why she couldn't take care of even the most basic things without inconveniencing me. I've banked with BECU for years and used MountainCrest for this one auto loan. After seeing how BECU prioritizes customer service and making things easy, I'll never open an account with any other credit union again. read more

Went to make a payment today & I am several days let because My pay day isn't until the 15th & the money is due on the 27th of each month. Since my bank is no longer doing shared branching mountaincrest decides to charge me $10 for a payment. WTF????? then they say oh you can go to this bank or this bank to make a shared branching transaction with cash or check. I DONT do checks, & the banks I have talked to said that they will not do shared branching so I am liked fucked big time. Trying to get my credit straight & I get screwed by banks who will not allow me to make payements. read more

I have belonged to this credit union since olden times when it was the old Teachers Credit Union in Silver Lake. I have NEVER had one problem with them, and all the employees are friendly and helpful. I LOVE to call them with my needs, and they always recognize my voice and make me feel welcomed to be a member. They have always gone out of their way to help me. I have had loans with them, a checking and savings account, and a visa card. Even though they are quite far from my home in South Everett, I drive there sometimes just to say hi and conduct a transaction in person. I'm glad to give MCCU a 5* rating! read more

This credit union has handled our motorhome loan horribly. Their loan officers are rude and not helpful at all. Refused to work with us on what should have been a simple matter. I do not recommend any get a loan through them. read more

I have been a member of Mountaincrest for many years. I have two loans through them, a checking/savings account and a credit card. I have had nothing but great experiences dealing with any (if any) issues with my accounts. They are always more than helpful in assisting with any confusion, transaction changes, hold removals, fee removals, shared branching issues, loans, etc. The employees are all kind and eager to make sure that you feel like a valued member. I will continue banking with Mountaincrest for many more years to come! read more

Formerly the PUD Credit Union. I agree with Greg D's review and would like to add to it....I've been going to this credit union since I was a child. My parents and Grandparents banked there. My parents closed their account their and I'm tempted to do the same. This used to be a friendly Credit Union with personable people working there. Since the transition and merging of multiple local credit unions- that's gone out the window. Alot of the people who had been there for a long time left- and with them left the sense of community they represented. The Everett location doesn't even have a drive through window anymore...its now a tube with a camera in your face and a little screen. I've found more friendly tellers at BoA and thats not saying much. I don't recommend MCU to anyone. read more

Love this credit union! Have had my account with them for several years and have never had an issue. Twice I have needed to do shared branching transactions and do to my work schedule, could not get to the credit union during business hours. Imagine my delight when I called and was told I could do it on the phone!! Name one bank with customer service like that. read more

I love the service I get at this bank, no matter how busy they are (which generally they are not very busy) the tellers are always friendly and never upset at me for bringing up my 5 different shared branching accounts. I can access ALL of my other Credit Union accounts through them and they have pretty much covered all of my banking needs better than BECU! I had my car loan through mountain crest credit union for the last year and throughout that time the customer service had been lacking, however that's not the reason why I chose to transfer my loan to another bank. I received a letter in the mail stating that my insurance needed to be updated with mountain crest per the agreements for my car loan (there was an issue with my insurance agent sending the info over). The letter I received was from mountain crest credit unions insurance service center. I called the number and updated my insurance information. I then asked a question about my loan and they informed me that I needed to be transferred to the loan department, which they transferred me to.. however, the number that I was transferred to was not the loan department but was a $100 free gift card center that wanted my credit card information. I asked if I was speaking with the loan department and they were confused and said no, it was some free gift card center... I called the insurance service center who had initially transferred me and they gave me a phone number (877) 601-0001 which was supposed to be the loan department. They transferred me again to the same scam phone number and I then hung up and called the number that was given to me.. the same gift card center picked up. They had no answers for me at the branch and were incredibly rude to me when I told them about what happened. I do not recommend this credit union. In fact, I just switched my loan to BECU and they are amazing! My interest rate was cut in half and I have had the best service! Highly recommend switching to BECU! read more

The past few years service has gone down. I've recieved my debit card a 8 weeks after I put in a requested it to be replaced because they forgot about it. My tax refund that I file through turbo tax every year for some reason went to my mother's account even though nothing changed from years before. I try to be patient but it's frustrating and terribly inconvenient that I can't trust my bank to be accurate or efficient. read more

Real friendly staff and I don't even have an account there. I use their shared banking from time to time when I can't get to my bank. I also like the fact it is very close to my house. read more

I completely agree with the first review... the NSF fees are ridiculous! If you overdraw even 1 cent they charge you $25... and will never block your charges (even if you don't have sufficient funds), charging you $25 each time you overdraw (and you cannot opt-out!!!) This is common practice for most major bank branches... but for a credit union it is unheard of!!! (And it will be illegal very soon for all banks) Also, the interest rates are ridiculously low compared to other credit unions in Washington... Basically, you would be stupid to put your money in this bank!! (I wish someone had told me this a few years ago) read more

I have decided to close my Mountaincrest account after many years. Their system of fees is very punishing to their account holders and I have had enough. They have already closed down their Silver Lake branch and I see why people are choosing not to do business with them. read more
