The doctors office is located on the second floor of the building. The office staff here are always friendly and remember your name (which I appreciate). The waiting room is pretty spacious, with TVs and a private section for infants/small children. It's not cramped. You never end up sitting next to someone hacking up a lung or sneezing on you. I've waited here a number of times and have not had the urge the put on a face mask. The only thing to be mindful of is parking. There is a private parking lot, which is great, but the driveway into the lot can be tricky. Ideally, drive in the direction where the building is to your right so that you will not need to cross the double lines. Trying to make a left turn into the lot can be stressful for you and the cars behind you (so please, don't be that guy). read more

The amount of time the office expects you to be on hold before you even have the option of leaving a message is ridiculous. The residents who work here are pathetic in their medical knowledge. They order completely unnecessary tests and stick you with the bill. No apologies!!!! Such a waste of time if you want to address any medical issues. They are pretty much only fit to give vaccines, the equivalent of a Walgreens or CVS clinic. Do not come here for anything more. This place, Mountainside Family Practice is pathetic! They keep you on hold forever, no exaggeration. There's a certain nurse there that thinks she know everything and gives out wrong and unwanted information. Also, I know a lot of the doctors are residents and still learning but some need to go back to class or ask someone how to do an annual physical. Also, Mountainside recently changed computer systems and a lot of the patient history didn't migrate over which is unfortunate for the patient. So going in there for me was like going for the first time which is unacceptable. There was no point in discussing a concern when the doctor had no previous notes or tests to refer back to. I was told she could go back to the old system and look at them. Helloooo, I'm there now. It should be in front of you. I'm done with this bootleg facility. Updated to add: when I arrived for physical I had to go to the bathroom. The nurse gave me a cup for urine. I returned to the room with the specimen. Nurse leaves the room with the urine and I'm assuming labeled it and took it to the lab room in the office. I got blood taken in the lab after the physical. Tell me why no one can find my urinalysis results. Was it even entered into the computer, was the cup even labeled or was it even sent out. So either the nurse, the doctor or the lab person is incompetent. You can add this to why I will not return to this bootleg facility. I think going to this facility is hit or miss. Unfortunately didn't read reviews before coming here as a new patient. Leaving countless voicemails with no calls returned and no way to get in touch with anyone - doctors or receptionists after waiting over 1+ hour on the phone for weeks. Highly disappointed, only pleasant person in the office was the receptionist but don't expect to get in touch after you leave the office. Wish I read these reviews prior to joining this practice. First off, took so long just to get through then the very very rude receptionist for the OB finally picked up and told me I couldn't talk with her if I'm looking for the family practice. Understandable, however, my appointment was in 15 minutes and THEY referred me to the wrong doctor so I needed a new referral. So finally after calling over and over again they picked up (because I was given a call back time of "probably under an hour" if I left a voicemail). They finally fax over the new referral but GET THIS - they referred me to a foot surgeon. Ok fine, once again new referral please. Get to the "foot surgeon" (for my wrist) and they tell me they don't take my insurance. So I took off work to go to this appointment because THEY found that the doctor "accepts my insurance and is accepting new patients". All in all going thru my health insurance company would've been easier but I (silly me) trusted the receptionist who was doing the work. The only positive I have is The doctor I saw was really kind, listened to all of my concerns and I really felt like I could trust her! The only reason I would apply the 1 star is because the receptionists were very very pleasant... As well as the MA, he was very polite... I was looking for a new doctor's office because I moved into the area a while ago, I haven't found anyone I liked near by yet. I hurt my back 2 weeks ago & since doctors are cautious to take new clients without general appointments, I spoke to the receptionist about making an appt for a physical plus my back issues. Again, she was more then helpful & got me in immediately. The MA did the usual, weight/blood pressure check... Which was high because I am in severe pain, he noted that. While I waited for the doctor, I heard her talking about me outside the door, she already expressed an attitude that I was wasting her time. She had the personality of a wet napkin. She cared more about my blood pressure then my back. She repetitively told me to exercise and watch my diet... To go to cvs & keep an eye on my blood pressure by checking it regularly. I explained to her that exercise is why my back hurts... And my diet is quite healthy. She noted again that I need to exercise to keep my blood pressure down. The only point where she addressed my back was when she poked at it while I sat sideways in the chair by her desk. She didn't issue any tests, she didn't give me any solutions besides 3 motrins & physical therapy. She called it "an acute pain" which was not true since I explained to her over the weekend, I moved so minimally & the pain was so severe that I blacked out in tears. Her response was "right....well... Take 3 Motrin" again.... I left feeling confused & frustrated. I looked for a second opinion with a medical professional not associated with Mountainside Family Care... I realized that I was blown off & ignored during my appointment. I should have had numerous other tests to conclude or rule out certain issues. I am extremely disappointed that I wasted my afternoon with a sub-par doctor with very little knowledge of her field. I understand that many people come in looking for narcotics, faking injuries but I was not one of them. My blood pressure was her first clue. I didn't ask her for pain medication.... I just started going here. I've been seeing Dr Lucia Angeli! I would absolutely recommend this office and especially Dr Angeli. Staff very pleasant and helpful. I've never waited more than 10 minutes at most and the Office is very clean and spacious. read more

Context: I go here for my 5 year old. We go once every year for her physical. I have been happy with this place. Everyone has seemed very nice. The receptionist was friendly. They have evening and limited weekend hours. We had a very pleasant nurse who was EXTREMELY tolerant giving my daughter her shots. Dr Luna was great with my daughter as well. Overall I have never had a bad experience here. read more
