This public membership/fee park is a lovely and inexpensive way to relax while you let your kids loose. You are allowed to bring a cooler and picnic foods. I observed some adults tackfully bring their own special blend of "grown up juice"( I must reiterate, VERY TACKFULLY). This pool is very family centered and billgerant or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated here. Use common sense and you will love hanging out here. I enjoyed my afternoon here under the shade of an umbrella. Its well worth the admission. If you are an avid user of the pool, you may want to pay for a membership. You can cross the street and pay for seasonal acess at the rec center.

A few highlights from my visit: Well-maintained volleyball courts with fresh nets. Fenced courts, which meant we spent more time playing and less time chasing volleyballs. Plenty of parking available, even with multiple events taking place. Public restrooms conveniently located nearby. Active atmosphere with a variety of sports happening throughout the park. During our visit, there were games and activities taking place all over the park, including: Baseball Football Basketball Volleyball Despite how busy the park was, it never felt overcrowded, and there was enough space for everyone to enjoy their activities. Overall, Koons Park is a great community park with quality sports facilities and convenient amenities. Whether you're there for volleyball, youth sports, or just to enjoy an active afternoon outdoors, it's a well-maintained park that I'd gladly visit again.

No notice, nothing. We waited forever until someone showed up. This last time, we planned a weekend around camping and swimming only to find out that the posted pool hours were invalid and the pool was closed. No reason, just close the pool. My boys were so disappointed. If I knew this ahead of time I would have gone elsewhere. Its amateur hour at Camp Hebron.

They also have 2 water slide areas--1 slide off the Olympic pool & 2 slides separate from pools w/their own splash pad. Lifeguards are attentive. Pools are clean (only occasional bits of grass floating on surface). They have a snack bar, but it closes much earlier than pool (2 hrs prior), so I've yet to sample it. Bathrooms & changing area are very small, because they're in a historic building--only 2 bathroom stalls & 1 shower stall & no separate changing area, just some wall hooks & benches in open area & only 1 sink. I do not believe they can alter that building. However, their snack bar is in a separate newer building. It'd be nice if they built a larger changing area w/more showers & bathroom stalls in separate building. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Great Senior rate & twilight rate! After a pool visit, you can walk across street & visit Children's Lake.
