She travels internationally to attend tea conventions, summits and for sourcing. She has staple and seasonal menu for those who like the occasional food change up. She intentionally chose to tea to not compete with local coffee shops near by. She has a crazy book collection spanning food, art, history, scifi and more. The teaware is usually imported for artisan from the east; ie japan. She a great conversationalist and heartwarming friend; I love her so much. I could go on but go and visit for yourself. Tell her Bilal sent you. I do have a challenge for you, they have this tea book there that goes nicely with her numbered tea system, every time you come in try one and take notes. I treat it like a postcard of my attendance as I try to understand her world and learn to be more descriptive; play with me and swap notes

I'm back with more Pillion reviews! This is my go-to study cafe if I can muster up any motivation…read moreto study, I'll come out here. As mentioned previously, there is extremely limited seating and table space so this isn't the place to necessarily study or work if you aren't coming in right at opening or just are plain unlucky. Regardless, Pillion serves as a nice place for me to sit and get some work done. They also now have a rewards punch card where your 10th drink is free! Yunnan Big Leaf Summer 3/5, this is a light black tea Roasted hojicha w/ salted hazelnut syrup milk tea 4/5, this just tasted like hojicha and was light overall but nice and warm Currant Events Soda 4/5, a citrusy fizzy soda Cranberry and Rosemary Scone 3/5, more rosemary than cranberry Decaf English Breakfast w/ Pumpkin Caramel Syrup and milk (hot) 3/5, quite sweet due to syrup, not very much English breakfast coming through, it was ok but not again Cocoa mint hot tea 5/5, I love mint tea, this is a more unique one as it's a blend of spearmint and peppermint. You will not taste the cacao nibs but it smells like rich dark chocolate as you get close to sip, feels v seasonal!! Butterscotch cookie 4.5/5, solid cookie, would have preferred over softer but this is such a small issue Cider spritz 2/5 let me start by stating I love fall and fall themed items, especially Cider. While I did enjoy the initial taste of Cider, it seemed to not last

We're pampered like princesses and queens, with no question asked. The best 2 hours spent well! We're starting out with a list of tea selections, which is harder because all flavors sounds delicious. The lists start with store signature tea blends, continues with White Tea, Green Tea, Black Tea, Black Tea Blends, Oolongs, Mate, Herbal Infusions, Red Tea. All selections of tea are served with bottomless pots. For pastry menu, there's a lot of selections from Royal Tea, Full afternoon tea, Light afternoon tea, Kate's tea, Cream Tea, Dessert tea, Children's tea. On our visit, we got the Just Pear-fect, Autumn Blend, Black tea blend, Strawberry Kiwi that's perfect for children, and hot chocolate. For the savory bites we love the scones, turkey sandwich, quiche, cucumber sandwich, and ending it with homemade sorbet as sweet bites. We came the weekend after Mother's Day and got to try their Mother's Day tea. It was really nice…read morethat they offered four types of teas, mostly fruit based and two were caffeinated and two were not. You were encouraged to switch between the flavors vs stay with the same type of tea. This was the first afternoon tea where received a fruit and cheese board, salad, chilled fruit-yogurt soup before receiving the warm, lovely scone and the three tiers of sandwiches and sweets. Many of the sandwiches had some fruit like a slice of strawberry or peach in addition to the meat for spread. The tea china and presentation were wonderful as was our waitress. I thought it was a great value for the price. There was one bathroom on the level. Parking was around the corner or we parked farther down the street.

Wonderful floor plan, interior design, music, lighting and overall atmosphere. LOVE!…read more The staff were all so lovely from the moment I walked in. So kind. So helpful. So friendly. So sweet. The food was divine. Truly. The egg sandwich was so good. The croissant was perfectly crunchy buttery and although seemed like too much for me, it was perfect. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The perfect temperature. The cheese was very good, creamy, naturally flavorful not overly so. I guess I just can't praise this place enough. I stayed a while so need up getting a second drink, the Sakura matcha latte which was very tasty too - all round the right amount of matcha-y! Lol! I also ordered the blueberry eclair - not too sweet. Perfect size. Perfect ratio. Not to mention, beautiful. Just perfect. Love this place! Will go back every time I'm in town. Not crazy about the parking situation in the area but whatever, that's the way it is round there and luckily I found a spot easily :) Check this place out. It's truly lovely.

The desserts, although beautiful, were on the pricier side. I tried the berry lychee cake and it was delicious! The iced coffee was yummy too. Huge food and service disappointment tonight for this otherwise great beer-garden venue…read more Live music and good company (not included) helped to salvage a mediocre (At Best) Friday evening at Reynolds Tavern. Our group ordered: 1) tomato-watermelon salads; 2) mussels; 3) steak frites; and Cobb salad. Unfortunately, the meal did not live up to prior experiences. Wait staff was confused and stretched (far from the authentic, trained group we've previously known) and the food was off - Mussels over cooked, fatty Steak Frites. Hope management can get it together, otherwise this great evening ambiance will fall off our "Go To" list. HITS: the live music was still a highlight.

For those who might be considering a meal at historic REYNOLD'S TAVERN in Annapolis...check out…read morethese sad photos. This was advertised as a COBB salad with shrimp (2), scallops (2), lump crab meat. The musty, grainy, white rice-like substance was their version of lump crab. (The BIG white stuff was feta.) We complained and were haughtily informed by management (and their apparently not-so-knowledgable chef) that this was indeed lump crab because it was labeled that way from the vendor. All we can say is...Was it preshredded somehow? Frankly, somebody is being ripped off. We Annapolitans would be happy to school you in the difference in actual size and quality of good crabmeat. Selling fishy-tasting crap as CRAB to unsuspecting tourists should be a crime. Shame! We are CRABTOWN! In addition, your cavalier treatment is making us rethink future visits. Heads up, management and owners!
