I paid by Zelle through our bank and received confirmation texts from the bank that the transfer had been sent. Within three minutes of completing the transaction I received a phone call from someone at the moving company. From the first moment the tone was aggressive and accusatory. He insisted the payment had not come through and said I would need to provide a debit card instead. I explained that the money had already left our account and sent the bank confirmation texts, including the initial authorization prompt. He then told me that the bank does not send texts. He continued in the same manner. I provided a reference number. He still continued. Only after I sent a screenshot from the bank app showing the funds had been withdrawn and the payment was processing did he calm down. I understand a small business needs to confirm that payment has cleared. The immediate assumption of bad faith and the persistently rude manner, even after multiple forms of proof were provided, were unnecessary and unprofessional. The moving work was acceptable. The handling of this follow-up call was not.

Approximately 8-1/2 hours following the truck arrivals at Central Karns Storage, they pulled out of our driveway empty and exhausted. Dalton, Terrell, Liston and Gage did an excellent and careful job of loading and unloading everything for our 3 bedroom house. They took direction for placement of the stuff with a smile and were very courteous throughout the day. Thank you! I know the furniture was heavy and not easy to transport upstairs, but I saw them make simple, careless mistakes like lay a mirror, with sharp metal brackets on the back, bracket side down on an end table. The end table had a few scratches already, but nothing like what they ended up with after the move. It would of been a lot easier for them if the had taken the drawers out, and been supplied with the right equipment from the company. When I booked the move, the guy on the phone was not upfront with all the extra fees and charges. So, that was a bit of a surprise. Then, after I had paid for the agreed amount of work, the driver slipped in an extra $180.xx charge. I was refunded that charge and the guy was reprimanded. Just be sure to check. It went out to about five moving companies (this was on Saturday)  Within 10 minutes Ky from Bellhop at the Chattanooga office called me. Bellhop was the first to respond. Ky was so nice and extremely courteous. He helped us figure out what we needed. The price he quoted was a good fair price. Because of Ky we immediately felt confident and agreed to hire Bellhop. We received a confirmation for the job on the same day. Next day (Sunday) we got a notification with the pictures of our movers who were Alec and Austin. Alec also texted us to confirm the time etc. Alec and Austin arrived on Monday at our storage unit ON TIME and ready to work. They loaded the truck and we drove to our apartment. Let me tell you Alec and Austin were incredible. They worked their butts off NON STOP. We are on the third floor with TWO SETS OF STAIRS. They brought everything up with a smile and always asked us where we wanted things placed. We saw Alec carrying two very heavy large boxes at a time (like they were empty!) Me and my husband were shocked and impressed with the strength and stamina Alec and Austin had. And they did it in such an upbeat courteous friendly manner. They were fast too.  Nothing was damaged either no walls touched, no floors scratched. PERFECT! Was not impressed by the work ethic. They could not get my couch in but didn't really try until I pulled on it when I walked in the room. They made several comments about how I should just sell my couch. Well it's not an option. I can't afford a new couch, I paid them to move it. They made comments while they thought I was out of earshot. This company apparently thinks it's okay to belittle paying customers and their belongings while in their home, thinking the customer can't hear them. They stacked items in my garage without ever asking where they should go, including a box of fragile Christmas decorations that they stacked off balance on top of some pots. Picture attached. They finished up 20 minutes early so i asked them to try the couch again. It felt like they barely tried. The one Colston, told me they were putting it in the garage. This job was never completed. After they left I called the company and told them to send me pros, not kids. Advised them of the situation and the belittling remarks. The wife of the owner, and one of the owners called me back to let me know she would talk to her team. She then sent me a text, not a call. Didn't have the professionalism or courtesy to call me back. They failed to send anyone out to help with the couch, deducted a measly 15 minutes from the invoice for the 1 mover being late. After receiving this text from her, i called. They didn't pick up. I texted and told them to call me. I called again and spoke to Will, the owner. I didn't get anywhere. He too refused to make this right and are still charging me the full price. He said their movers take pictures and record videos of every move. Umm excuse me? So you are taking pictures and videos without my consent? I texted and asked about that and have yet to hear a response. I told him on the phone earlier that I would be leaving a crap review and on-line. He mentioned that he is a woman owned, veteran owned business. Well if we are going to bring that up, thank you Knoxville Moving Company for treating a woman veteran like this. My husband was also military and unfortunately is no longer here because of it. This move back to the area he and I lived in was supposed to be a new chapter, a chapter of hope. Thanks Knoxville Moving Company for screwing that up, making it even more difficult. It is completely unacceptable to treat customers this way.
