It is rare when low cost and superb service are available from the same source. Recently moved from Hoover to Franklin TN. The crew of Big Mike and A.J. were nothing short of amazing. They needed virtually zero oversight for the loading and unloading phases. From gun safes and refrigerator to delicate antiques all were handled delicately and professionally. I contacted so many movers to get quotes and move daddy was by far not only the most affordable, but also extremely responsive. Andrew was extremely professional, and accommodated us When there was a delay in our closing. The guys moving is out (Justin, JR, and Dekoda) were super fast, careful, and polite. They handled our items with care. Move Daddy stored our items on the truck for two nights, and JR and Dekoda unloaded for us. Again, super fast but super careful. None of our items were damaged. Two days later ( in the middle of unpacking) I realized that our big cooler was missing. I knew exactly why ... it was similar to the cooler that the guys used to store their own waters! Buyer beware! Check and double check before committing to this company! They came to our house TWICE to see how much we had to move yet sent a small truck on moving day with only two workers for an almost 3000 square foot home. Since there is an hourly charge, this was definitely to their advantage and our disadvantage. It took them two days to pack up and load the truck and they still left a garage full of items after assuring us repeatedly they could get it all on one truck. When we went to unpack we found huge boxes with nothing but a light bulb or lamp shade....put in boxes that could have clearly held more items. When we called to ask for the items we paid to have moved brought to us the owner was extremely rude, told us WE were lying about what they committed to move, and laid the blame at our feet. This has been a terrible experience & we are definitely unsatisfied with our move. read more

We had our hardwood floors refinished therefore we had to move all our furniture out. We tried to save a little money and did not use Move Daddy to move our furniture out and regret it. Christian and Bird with Move Daddy moved our furniture back into the house and did a wonderful job. They were so careful to not scratch our floor or damage any of my furniture. Gone are the days of moving stuff myself. I'm older, friends are more dispersed, and we don't have a truck... so we started looking around for some movers. My wife found MoveDaddy. The movers showed up on moving day and really busted their tails. There wasn't any time wasting on their part! They also made sure to be careful while moving, which was a concern of mine. Our closing ended up getting delayed, so they held our stuff an extra night (for a fee, of course). Once the closing went through, they arrived promptly the next day and, again, were careful but fast unloading. Only thing missing was a cooler, which we reported, and it was delivered to our door the next day. They probably mistook it for their own as it was very similar. This was the worse moving company I have ever dealt with. The movers were inexperience and their boss was rude and unprofessional. This company was used for my college son and daughter moving from a 2 bedroom apartment to another 2 bedroom apartment. They came highly recommend from my daughters nursing friends. First they did show up in time around 8 am so we were impressed. It didn't last long because they forgot the tools to disassemble the beds. We had to contact my daughter's boyfriend who was on his way from work and had to go home to retrieve his tools. It took the movers 8.5 hrs to move 2 bedrooms furniture, a kitchen table, sofa and ottoman. Also 15 small boxes. I called and complained to their boss about the time he brought over an additional worker and it still took another hour. Since they were not able to put my daughter dresser draws back in correctly he charged us the additional half hour. The worker had already had my husband pay the fee which was over $1300 but their boss scratched out that price and charged us additional half hour $79.00. When I questioned him he spoke to me as if I was trying to get something free after we had already been ripped off $1300. He spoke to me like he was on the street corner. My husband asked him to leave because he was so disrespectful and we did not want this to escalate. the only positive thing I can say is that the two workers were respectful but not experienced but their boss should not be anywhere near customers. This company took advantage of college students so be aware if you use their service. I have moved cross country twice from 5 bedroom houses and never experienced this type of service. read more

Very disrespectful and rude! Argued with me for 45 minutes and tried to charge me more money for that time. The mover said he would hold the last piece of furniture "hostage" and wouldn't remove it from the truck, demanding more money, after I paid them! They were friendly until the end. I guess they were tired and took it out on me. I was about in tears when I finally got to leave them. I emailed the office about the way in which I was treated and the office guy turned it completely around on me and tried demeaning me saying it was all my fault!! I do NOT recommend this company! He said he had a recording of me being rude, pushy, insulting and disparaging. Yeah, okay! I am pretty sure the mover showed a snip of what occurred and apparently videoed me without my knowing. I have nothing to hide and don't appreciate their continued threats. I had to threaten to call the police for harassment before he left me alone. I asked him repeatedly to please stop and let this end on a good note, however he kept on arguing to delay the time so he could say I owed even more! When researching moving companies, an irritating radio commercial suddenly emerged from the depths of my subconscious...a group of people are brainstorming business names and a woman is mocked for suggesting 'Movers R Us'. For some unfathomable reason this stuck in my head and led to us call Move Daddy, and ultimately booking once they gave us the cheapest quote. The time of arrival was estimated at between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM; they called at 7:40 AM to say they'd be there in 20 minutes - great start! Our movers were Harrison and Roeker, who were polite, hard-working, and did a great job. We were moving several floors up and had a treadmill with the sum weight of a football team that involved doors being removed just to maneuver the monster out, but somehow they did it. They reassembled what needed reassembling and made sure everything was where we wanted it. It was a pain free moving experience and I'd hire them again for my next move. read more

We moved from AL to NC in July/August 2018 and could not be happier with the service we received. We originally were planning to utilize one of the larger moving companies and when things fell through with them at the last minute, MoveDaddy saved the day. I was able to book them only a few days before we needed our things moved out of the house and even though the provided packing services that other companies were not going to, it was $1500 cheaper! The movers were so quick, efficient, and kind. They helped us back a couple of rooms including the kitchen and all of our fragile items and moved everything out of a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house with a basement and garage in less than 6 hours. The were right on time delivering our stuff 5 days later when we needed it dropped off and there was not a single item damaged or broken. I was very pleased with Big Daddy.com! I didnt hire them until a few days before i needed them. They had the best rates around which made me nervous choosing the cheapest. They were very polite, took care of my stuff, called with updates as to their ststaus because were moving someone before me. They disposed of my two mattresses and boxsprings for me which i really appreciated (other movers wanted to charge me because local charitiues wont take anymore). In response to Mr. Palmer's comment stating...."During this process, a leg did fall off of a piece that was moved away from the wall prior to our moving it. Despite your wife admitting to sliding the piece, we did agree to repair the piece." No sir, the leg fell off when your guy dragged it across the floor. One of the guys lied about it at first, then the other guy admitted to having moved it. As far as the refrigerator being "the only piece pre-covered".....we did that with the hope of avoiding scratches. We're not lying thieves trying to get one over on anyone. We simply would like a "professional moving" company to take resonsibility for their actions. As far as the "abusive language", I have NEVER used any inappropriate language with anyone from Move Daddy, either over the phone, or in an email.
