My doctor told me the arthritis was permanent and nothing more could be done. My PT said the best-case scenario was strengthening the surrounding muscles and stretching to slow the loss. I had worked with a PT years earlier who used the Graston technique and actually moved the needle, so I knew instrument-assisted soft tissue work could help. Nobody nearby offered it. I mentioned it to Ari at RipTide and learned she does Corrective Performance work, including Graston. In just a few sessions I recovered more range of motion than I had gained in over a year of traditional PT. She also identified the muscle guarding my body had built up around the shoulder and started working to release it, which opened up the path to rebuilding real strength there. What separates this from standard PT is that Ari addresses the movement chain, not just the symptom. She combines soft tissue treatment, fascial release, and neuromuscular retraining to find and fix the root cause rather than manage what's on the surface.
