Towards the end of my marathon training block, I started experiencing pain in my right knee. With…read moremy race coming up, I wanted to know if this was something that I should defer, or if I could continue training and attempt to race. I kept ignoring my pain, hoping it would just eventually heal, but it just got worse. I saw an ad on Instagram for Pro+Kinetix and I made the decision to see a PT. In my first session with Dr. Kyle, he immediately clocked what contributed to my knee issues- weak glutes and hips, and my previous ankle injury, and said that I should be able to race. While I did complete my marathon, my knee needed recovery. Every week we worked on various exercises to target the problem areas that contributed to my knee pain, and would adjust based on any pain I was feeling. I understand that recovery is a slow process, but I did see improvement after a couple of weeks. Today, I ran four miles without any knee pain. Seeing Dr. Kyle contributed to my recovery and improvement. I highly recommend Pro+Kinetix to anyone who is having running issues. Dr. Kyle helped me get back into running shape. Please take the time to see a specialist, it's worth it!

The exercises he prescribed were realistic and worked with my busy schedule, which is a big contrast to the binders of paper I've walked out with from insurance-based PTs and was never realistically going to get through. The result: my back pain is 90% better and totally manageable, and I'm still doing CrossFit and yoga without having to skip or modify anything. That was the whole goal for me. Very thankful for this practice and Dave's approach!

Finally i made an appointment with Dr. Aaron Snyder and was very thoroughly evaluated. My recovery was based on strengthening areas of my body which for years even as a yogi were not utilized correctly, and overcompensated for with other areas. It was brought to my attention that my core needed improvement to protect my back. After each session I was provided specific exercises, and these exercises were cumulative and more were added as I progressed. It was also brought to my attention slight changes to my walking style, and the goals established were not just short term recovery, and injury prevention, but also long term body sustainability. It has been six weeks of absolutely no return of any previous issues, and I am continuing the exercise routine at home. This has brought awareness to my areas of weakness, corrected it, and in fact I feel I am stronger. As a middle age person, I feel unconditionally that Dr. Aaron's diagnosis and recommendations will enable me to age better in the future. Anyone who is questioning a functionality with their body would be well advised to consult with Thrive, and determine if the concern can be corrected.

I'm grateful that I have returned to an activity (cycling) that provides me with so much joy. I also recommend to any cyclist in need of a bike fit to schedule an assessment with Dr. Mark Shulman. He knows the biomechanics of cycling, and after a through evaluation, made the necessary adjustments to ensure my knee discomfort from cycling does not return from improper fit.

I had previous excellent experiences with a couple other therapists a few years ago, so came back here 1yr after a double hip replacement and had a bad experience. My first session wirh Mark, he yawned through my session and moved his eyes in sideways eye rolls and seemed disinterested. After having me walk for two minutes back and forth he proclaims me having a shorter right leg and gives me a shoe lift and tells me to get more on Amazon and always wear them, that it will feel more natural once I get used to them. I asked if I should take my shoes off and walk as they have been worn down a bit as I wore them before my surgery, he said no. Then we did some exercises. I had come in to work on strengthening my right hip muscles and some quad strengthening. I said my hip was "catching" a bit. I did not like taking his two minute evaluation on something as important as saying I had uneven legs after my surgery. I wore the lifts as instructed and felt something was wrong. Today, my orthopedic surgeon had me do a specialized xray that measures the leg lengths - they are perfectly even and I have healed beautifully, no lifts needed - in fact, using them could actually cause muscle problems by MAKING me uneven and muscles accommodating unnecessarily. THIS WAS A BAD DIAGNOSIS BY MARK. He could have worked with me over a few sessions first - and SHOULD HAVE recommended that I get his suspected leg length discrepancy checked out officially. This was a dangerous 2min determination on his part!! This, added with his visual boredom during our session, makes me not recommend him.
