First time to stay at Moxy. This hotel is only 10 min walk away from the airport terminal via underground tunnel, and the signs are marked clearly. Staff members I encountered were all friendly. It was very convenient (you can walk to the car rental area or the terminals from the hotel), and the price was very reasonable, too. The service at the front desk was nice - the staff were very helpful. The room was basic but worked for a night's stay. This is such a swanky, unique hotel. I absolutely love this place. This hotel sits walking distance from the airport, which is quite convenient. When I checked in, they offered a free cocktail and drink on the house (selected choice, but still). They had a small dinner buffet. It's no food to write home about, but it's nice and welcoming on a long day of traveling. read more

We walked from the airport terminal to the hotel fairly easily due to the clearly marked signage. They quickly got us squared away with a room. The property and on-site amenities are excellent, as is the staff. The biggest drawback is that once you're checked in here, you are on an island. There really isn't anything to do or go to after check in. To get to Vienna you have to take an airport train that costs 9€ each way per person. To leave and comeback you pay 18€. I'm not aware of any special travel rates for area guests; although, I thought I was told that at check in. When I asked a staff member about it, I was told "no." This staff member wasn't a regular reception employee, so you may ask someone when you check in. Regardless, none of this is an issue if you just want to enjoy Moxy's amenities--bar, dining, business center, etc--or just be close to the airport for an early flight. read more

Very convenient to VIE airport. It was January and cold out. I thought I was going to have to walk a few blocks to the hotel. But to my surprise, following the HOTEL sign out of the airport lead me in a tunnel almost the whole way to the hotel. An elevator brought me up to street level and there it was on the corner. This is part of Marriott. I've been in their Courtyards and Renaissance. Moxy is different. Nice and clean, Wild not fancy. I walked past check in because it is the end part of the hotel bar. There's no restaurant here. A small selection of to go type food. Or for a few hours they offer a crockpot dinner. My choice sausage for 6€ or sweet and sour chicken with rice for 8.50€. The chicken wasn't bad. Or I could have walked back to the airport. Small room and that's ok. I just needed a night sleep and a shower. The bathroom is quite compact. There's no phone to request a wake up call. The room doors are so heavy they slam shut. So you hear doors all night as people come and go. read more

Upon a late arrival into Vienna, we opted to stay at the Moxy - unfortunately, this turned out to be a bad decision. Right away we noticed that there was a questionable stain on the bedsheet. Then we noticed that there were nail clippings littered throughout one side of the bed. Tried to call down to front desk to have it resolved or get a new room but no one ever picked up. Contacted both Bonvoy and Moxy, who gave us a disappointing generic answer and an offer for a "redo" whenever we were in Vienna next. Politely, I declined that offer and given my experience, can you blame me? Cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel based on the obvious lack of care when it came to maintaining a standard of cleanliness, particularly when we saw adverts all over the hotel about how they were maintaining top notch hygiene practices - clearly not. read more

I'm pretty well in the target demographic for this brand: millennial, traveled a lot, generally avoid chains where I can help it, seek local experiences over packaged tours. But now I'm grown up a bit and on business travel. Other than some contrived Instagram hash tagging, this is a very well done concept that felt more like a hotel reconsidered than Marriott pandering. The energetic staff, bar check-in, and communal dinner available from a crockpot will be familiar to anyone who's stayed at hostels. The rooms are simple and small, but very modern and a good value, and fine for typical airport hotel stays. I normally wouldn't consider staying at an airport hotel other than immediately before or after a flight, arriving late Friday and leaving early Sunday, I didn't want to switch hotels. City access Saturday via train was quick and cheap (3.90 Euro each way). It looks on the map like it's a bit of a walk from the airport, but it's via climate-controlled moving walkway, so easy & comfortable in all conditions. read more

This hotel is perfect for a hotel airport. Signs clearly indicate how to get there from either the airport or train station. It's a quick, less than 5 minute walk. Check in/check out was easy. They even give you a free drink voucher. The room was clean, with all necessary items (shampoo, soap, towels, hair dryer, USB plugs, etc). They have cafeteria style grab n go items for sale, and also a crock pot hot meal each night. If that's not appealing to you, they offer to order delivery on your behalf from a local restaurant. If you're looking for food nearby, the airport is a quick walk and has a SPAR (grocery), restaurants, cafes and a McDonalds. My stay at Moxy before an early morning transatlantic flight was exactly what I needed. read more

The only thing this place has going for it, is that the airport terminal is literally 3 blocks away. The food in the restaurant is overpriced, the food is average and not very hot, probably below what is legally allowed, if I spoke better German I would call the health department on them. Rooms are tiny, and the bathroom is so small it looks like they had move the plug to the outside of the bathroom, I have been in larger restrooms on aircraft! On a busy weekend, we were thrilled to not only find a room, but also a family-friendly room. The staff was warm and inviting, the rooms were comfortable. Pros: the pullout couch was transformed into a pillow fort and fairy lights. the pillows were decked out with fun sayings and quotes in bright colors. the t.v. had the ability to log into a social networking account (youtube, netflix), so if you want to watch movies - totally doable. the lobby and seating areas are family friendly. the bar is at the front, but surrounded by tables and stacks of cards and games. There are computers for public use, plenty of quiet seating, fun seating of all shapes and sizes, and a fireplace for ambience. Cons: the hotel took forever to find and we had to drive around the airport several times before realizing there was NO parking. we had to pay for long-term parking in the rear of the hotel, hoping to find something close to the hotel doors. the front doors weren't labeled well and the rotating door wasn't working. our bathroom door didn't latch unless it was locked (we incurred lots of slamming until finally locking the door). we discovered we had a complimentary drink ticket in our room, but it was not easily noticed, hence, we never got to use it, despite being downstairs in the bar that night. the social networking setup didn't work on our t.v. after multiple attempts. I was fine watching movies in another language because they were good movies, but it would have been fun to try the setup. Lastly, the door is button operated, so it isn't possible to just close the door. It's fine when carting luggage in/out the door and not having to worry about it slamming on you, but when I'm trying to leave the room quickly or quietly, it wasn't possible and quite annoying. it would be nice if the option to stay open longer was indeed an option. all in all, we enjoyed our stay and had a very enjoyable experience! We loved the colors and feel in the atmosphere and will seek this hotel chain in other destinations. read more

For an "airport" hotel, it's pretty cool. We had a nine-hour layover on our way to Amsterdam, so we stayed in this hotel for a few hours. The room was clean and spacious, with two TVs. The bed was comfortable, which is exactly what we needed. I do have to say that the bathroom looks very much like a hospital bathroom. It was... weird. The room was great, but that bathroom stuck in my head. The lobby also serves as a hangout place, and they really trying to make it appear young and cool and instagrammable. To the point that it's a bit ridiculous. We got lost on our way to the hotel, but walking back, it was easy to follow the signs. read more

I loved my stay at the Moxy hotel. It's extremely hip and young and overall just gives you good vibes. I've never been to a hotel that was decorated in such a young fashion so the music and all the interior design made me feel welcome at Vienna. I spent a bunch of time in the lobby because they had books, board games, computers, etc. and I really wished I had spent a lot more. Also they're gym is super clean and comes with Dumbbells, gym mats, and a boxing bag. Love this place so much I stayed I came back 10 days later and stayed second time during my time in Europe!!! read more

AT MOXY THE DEATH OF YOUR LOVED ONE IS USED FOR PROFIT Expedia and Moxy Vienna Airport gave me the runaround for 5 days (they actually tried playing me for 8 days) before they declined my request to waive extra changes involved in a change of booking date, which I requested due to the passing of my father. When my father got critically ill I rushed home sooner than initially planned. I called Expedia to change the date of my stay at Moxy and was told that the booking was non-refundable, however, they offered to contact the hotel to request, on a compassionate basis, a waiver of extra charges. I was told the hotel wasn't answering the phone, that an email was sent to them instead and that I will receive an answer in 3 days. Four days later, still no reply. I contacted Expedia again and was recommended to contact the hotel directly. There I was told that for the hotel to be able to proceed with my request, I have to first cancel the initial booking with Expedia. I contacted Expedia again, but was told they can't cancel without a waiver from the hotel. The agent kindly offered to send another email to the hotel (which never answered the first Expedia email in the first place) with an answer in 72h, too late for my travel plans. When I forced a timely reply, after hours on the phone, multiple emails and being bounced around for 5 days from one to the other, I was finally told that my request is denied. Between Moxy and Expedia, my father's death has yielded a profit of $241, with no service provided. I wonder, how much of their bottomline is made through cruel practices like this one, denying compassion to grieving families. read more

Incompetent staff!! As a travel agent I booked this hotel thru the GDS system, then had to call them four times for a cc auth to be sent to me - finally Adam Harcula - a Front Crew Jr. Supervisor - sent me their sertifi link to complete, which I did within 30mins of receiving it, which was over a week before clients were due to check in .. clients finally check in and are denied check in due to room not being paid for, so I get the call from their Tour Manager to fix this - I call Vienna, and an abrupt front desk worker answers the phone and I explain the situation, and he said he can't understand me and I should call back later - so I slow down my talk and advise again that I can't call back as my clients are there at the front desk - he then tells me his computer crashed - I asked if Adam was there and he transferred me - I explained to Adam the situation and when he finally found the booking and the cc auth I sent, he repeated it to me - and he got it wrong, it wasn't two rooms, it's one room with two beds - I told him to check the booking, and he returned with "Don't speak to me in that language!" - I said what language?? Told him to pls do his job so I didn't have to call from America to tell them too - and he hung up on me, and when I tried to call back, they wouldn't answer my calls .. so I have no idea if my clients were able to check in smoothly after that - which I sure they would have since I found their cc auth that had been sent over a week ago and advised unprofessional Adam - I'll be making sure no one else books this hotel until an acceptable apology is put in place!! The response was, "go to the front desk and ask them!" I'm in my jammies! What if I needed a doctor or something serious? This is a deal killer for me. I Can't call the front desk. I'm not lazy! This is toooo minimalist for me. Below is my first draft review. This is a trendy hotel with MINIMALIST vibe. The rooms are tiny, yet well appointed. I call it a Good value. There is no real food here. Snacks only. Good towels, soap and shampoo. The shower is nice and the bed is comfy. On the negative side... the check in took forever with a pushy Austrian Airlines flight attendant inserting herself in front of everyone in line. She was a fair bully to the young man at the desk and he calmly asked her to wait her turn. I approved of her being put in her place. Plus, she has to wear that HIDEOUS all-red, Head-to-toe outfit and that was punishment enough for her. Anyway, cute hotel and good for young people looking to score. It's quite close to the airport, maybe a 8 minute walk from terminal one downstairs. The hotel is very modern and clean, with a cool decoration. The bar is opened 24/7 and has a few options of beer and wine. There are only "grab and go" options after ten pm. The room is clear and the bar area is pleasant. I believe they are a new brand of hotel offered by marriott! I have to say my first experience is that they are hip and flashy. Even though they target every age group, they way this hotel was designed it looks like they are meant to attract younger people. I absolutely love they design of the hotel, and i had a great time at the hotel. All the staff speak english, which is good for everyone who don't speak the local language. They have a bar you can hangout and have a drink with reasonable prices. The breakfast price is little high, but then the walk to the airport is only 5-10 min and they offer more alternatives. Super easy to get to from the airport if you have a long layover or a late flight, you literally exit the arrivals area at the airport and walk down a little further than the trains and it lets you out basically at the Moxy front door. Very convenient, very clean and trendy, easy atmosphere. read more
