The additional work was extremely insignificant ( 7 foot tree that was maybe 2 inches around we didn't even ask the to root grind the area. I contracted with the company to perform tree removal services at my residence and paid $5,000 for the project. The crew arrived at approximately 8:30 a.m. and departed around 3:30 p.m. After inspecting the property, I discovered that a portion of the agreed-upon work remained unfinished. Based on the scope of the remaining work, it appeared that less than one additional hour of labor by a single worker would have completed the job. The following day, I contacted the company and requested that they return to finish the work for which I had already paid. Rather than honoring what I believed to be their contractual obligation, I was informed that the company would not return unless I paid additional money. In effect, I was asked to pay more in order to receive services that should have been completed under the original agreement. What should have been a routine customer-service matter quickly escalated into a campaign of intimidation. When I disputed the demand for additional payment and continued to request completion of the work, the company's manager threatened legal action against me. Instead of attempting to resolve the dispute professionally, company representatives resorted to personal attacks and accusations unrelated to the services provided. Most troubling, I received written threats that the company would contact my employer and my husband's employer in an effort to "expose" me as a racist. These threats were made despite the fact that I had not published any review, made any public statements, or otherwise damaged the company's reputation. At the time the threats were issued, I had merely stated that I was considering leaving a review regarding my experience. The company's conduct appeared designed to silence a dissatisfied customer through fear, intimidation, and threats of professional harm. Threatening to interfere with a customer's employment because that customer requested completion of contracted work is wholly inappropriate and, in my view, constitutes retaliatory conduct intended to suppress legitimate consumer complaints. Rather than addressing concerns regarding incomplete work, the company responded with threats of litigation, threats to contact employers, accusations of racism, and warnings that their legal team would pursue claims against me. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed by the Federal Trade Commission to determine whether the company's conduct constitutes unfair or deceptive business practices, consumer intimidation, or retaliation against a customer attempting to resolve a dispute regarding incomplete services. I have retained documentation of the relevant communications, including the written threats referenced above, and am prepared to provide them upon request.

We told them we would not ne there and were assured it would not be a problem. We were anxious to pay the money we owed them and they said to just use our card. We used our DEBIT card. They added an additional $80 'service fee" onto our payment. This is ILLEGAL in PA. They have ignored all requests for a correction. They said to my wife: "LEAVE US ALONE LADY!" I would say to everyone, proceed at your own risk.

Boot Road Tree Service does outstanding work. We had an 80 foot dead Hickory tree - within yards…read moreof the living room window--that had to be cut down. As the homeowner I was riddled with anxiety over the tree removal process. Would my driveway crack from the weight of a crane, or if placed on the yard would the crane dangerously compact the soil, threaten the water and sewer lines? And so many more questions. The lead arborist Mike was fantastic. During our first appointment he patiently explained the tree removal process clearly, and responded to subsequent texts from this "Nervous Nellie." On June 18, Mike directed the crew of professionals who worked so methodically using the giant equipment that I was fascinated. In about two and half hours the tree was taken down section by section and some lowered into the chipper truck while huge logs were stacked--to be taken away that morning. When they were done, my lawn was raked, leaf blown, drive way raked and swept. What an amazing team! Beforehand I had gotten 3 other estimates and Boot Road provided the best price but more importantly, the BEST SERVICE imaginable!

Got someone else to do the job and glad I did. This is no way to run a business, especially with potential customers. Looking at other reviews, I'm not the first or last this will happen to. Think about this when looking for a tree service.
